i kinda want to try pickleball but the internet makes me feel like i shouldn't

i'm 28 and pickleball looks like something i'd genuinely enjoy trying, mostly because it seems fun and gets you moving without needing to be super athletic. but every time i see people talking about it online theres always someone making fun of the game or the people who play it 😭

i get that not every hobby is for everyone, and maybe there's stuff about it i won't like either, but now i'm curious. have you ever avoided trying a hobby because of the way people talk about it, or ended up loving something that everyone around you seemed to hate?

Hobbies that aren’t physically demanding

I 18F had scoliosis spinal fusion surgery 4 weeks ago and I still have three weeks of bed rest to go, what are some hobbies that I can get into that aren’t overly physical?
I’m looking into Dimond paintings as I’ve done them in the past and I’d like to do more, I’ve done embroidery before and have some materials to do it so I might do some on my clothes, I’ve done water colours and quite like it however it’s messy when you’re laying back on a bed.
I do have an IPad however I’m hoping for some suggestions that can help me use less screen time as I’m in bed all day not having anything to do🫠

Any suggestions help!

How do I start something I know I’m not immediately going to be good at? That seems like such a stupid thing to ask cause like obviously nobodies good at anything the first time they try it but I struggle finding the motivation to keep going and I hate that cause time passes and I think, I could have been better at that thing if I just kept trying. Bow making

I’m a dog groomer and finding nice hair bows at a reasonable price and decent quality is getting harder and harder I’ve made a few simple ones out of bandana fabric scraps but I’ve been thinking about investing in a bow making machine to smaller ribbon bows. Does anyone have any recommendations? This one linked in the post was posted in a dog grooming group and I spoke to the lady who sells them she’s super nice and the machine looks great but they only ship from Brazil and the price with shipping is a little more than I’m ready to drop until I know it’s something I’ll stick to. I guess I’m looking for something a little more than like an introductory kit that I can use to make larger amounts of bows at once. Thank you in advance!

Need a hobby to kill the time

Hey ,

I'm a guy in my mid 30s and I spend about half the weeks evenings on my own while my partner works. I'm getting very very bored and would like to have a hobby to pass the time and to make the evenings on my own a little more bearable.

My criteria would be:

something cheap and that can be picked up and put down after about 30 mins of doing it.

something I can do while sitting watching TV or at the least an indoor hobby I can do in the house.

Nothing that takes up a huge amount of space or requires lots of tools or equipment. Again keeping costs low.

I already read a fair bit and run a bit too.
