Have been digging bottles, Does digging in boxes for bottles still count, does digging in my pockets for bottles still count? Asking for a friend….

I think it's cool, 16 Oz i believe

Hi everyone,

I found this bottle in my grandmother’s house. It has been opened and there’s still some liquor inside it. My father speculates that this bottle is over 40 years old.
I searched a bit and it should be indeed from the 70s or 80s (one website said 1978-1982) but I wanted to check with you if that is indeed true.

(Also, if you have any idea for how much it would sell, I would really like to know that)

Thank you very much!

Hey everyone. Thank you all so much for giving this a look as I know that the marking and numbers on the bottom are supposed to show manufacturing info or batch info but I’m so consumed how to read it and which cluster of number and letters mean what. I have no idea what this bottle could have been used for and I’d love any info. I tried to get pics of the number that was on one side of the bottom edge and then the letters with a weird symbol on the other side. Super grateful for any insight! Oh btw it’s a weirdly short and small bottle it’s only 6inches tall.

On one side I can make out a B then 78 S (then a weird symbol I don’t understand maybe a makers mark?) then the number 32.

Then the other side I’m guessing is the batch number but please correct me if I’m wrong, it’s 2118 I think.

Even any advice or teachings how to read and understand these in the future would be wonderful!

What kinda bottle is this! 😅😂

Nice clean attic find from one of the earliest stores established in the region.

I stopped to photograph the house and saw these sitting here. This was as close as I dared get due to the possibility of private property and snakes. But I did stand there and look at them for a bit.

Came across this old bottle in Malta. Seems it’s Italian glass. Maybe for medicine? Would love to hear any information about it!

Crockery, 10 oz. bottle with amber glaze on neck/shoulder and has a circular stamp “Pride” at the base. This was dug on private property in an area of homestead and gold mining activity 1840’s through early 1900’s. Wanting to find out what it contained and where it was brewed. Google says “Pride” could be just the bottle manufacturer or it could be the brewer. Anyway to know?

Gorgeous green bottle.

I found this bottle in a wooded lot in south Alabama.

Looking for any info that might help explain how it found it's way to this area.

Attached screen shot shows what I found so far with some help from folks in the area of origin.

The top on this Crystal Soda looks like it was put on after the fact, like a repair. You can see where it meets the neck. Is this an applied top from when it was made, or did someone fix it later? Any idea on age? (early 1880s?) Video shows the whole neck and lip.

Found this today, in a farmers field that had been freshly ploughed for the winter crop, it had been brought to the surface and some how not broken, it has a chip on the base though, all I know about the history is the field use to be a brick field (land a brickworks used to store bricks), usually and unsurprisingly it is just bricks that come to the surface there, I was interested so I brought it home and cleaned it up

it has very clear indentations in the sides, and a impression in one face perhaps for a label, the back is flat, and there are some bubbles in it

Sorry for the bad censors, turns out I didn't see the fire number street sign background while taking the pictures.

Found this today on the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania. It’s in great shape so I can’t imagine it’s real, but the markings make me think it is? It says 53-09 around the skirt.
