As much as I loved the look of the handle bar mirrors on my Monster 937 & even my 821 when I had it, I was not getting the proper handle grip (screwdriver / ice cream cone) position & it caused me to cramp up in my throttle arm after an hour or so riding. So I switched back to stock & it made all the difference.

the seller says it runs good but grinds in 4th. The limited info I have is that it 1-3 are fine 4th grinds and that I think he could clutch in shift to 5th and use it normally. he thinks its the mating gear and engaugement dogs, but from the wording it sounds like it is just hard to get into gear which would be the sifter linkage right? also any ideas on what a full carbon 2011 848 evo with 21k is conservitavely worth? I know it varys but would 7k usd for a 100% working maintenanced one be unrealistic?

I have a question about the 2026 Panigale V4. I’m considering one as my next bike.

Are all the catalytic converters located inside the underbelly exhaust box, or is there also a pre-cat somewhere in the headers or mid-pipes?

Most full systems I see are underseat setups, and I honestly don’t like the aesthetics. The underbelly options, on the other hand, seem to be just slip-ons.

If all the cats are inside the exhaust box, would installing an underbelly slip-on effectively be the same as installing a full system in terms of removing the catalytic converters? Or is there an additional catalytic converter upstream that would remain in place?

Post-data question: Would you consider swapping your Panigale for an S1000RR?

I have a '23 Panigale V4 that has just crossed 12000 miles. On my way to work today the coolant temperature reached the 5th bar on the temperature indicator, and after parking, was leaking pink fluid (I assume coolant) from the hose in the front of the belly pan.

Upon removing the fairings i have discovered that both the left and right overflow reservoirs are empty, however the radiator still has coolant in it. Temperature this morning was mid 60's

The research that I have done point to either a failed thermostat, or issues with the water pump seal allowing coolant through the weep hole. Im just looking for validation that my suspicions are correct and whether adding more coolant would suffice for a few more days of commuting to/from work before a shop can get a look at it.

Additionally, I am attaching some pictures of the front left and right engine above the headers because I have never seen a bike this oily/greasy in that area and I have zero idea if thats normal for ducatis or not.

I just purchased a 2007 MTS1100 and I'm having an issue with the gauge changing from MPH to KPH. I can set it for 1100 MTS US and it will work fine, but if the power is switched off for more than 2 hours or so, it will change back to 1000 MTS EU. The clock stays set correctly so it's not losing power or anything.

I talked to the previous owner and he purchased a Remus exhaust and a tuned ECU for the bike, and he said that is when the issue started. He's pretty sure that the tuned ECU came off of a Euro-spec bike. So, it sounds to me like the ECU is causing the gauge to default back. There's a sticker on the ECU with numbers 96518207B and 2235SL02, which looks like the part number and code for a DP tune.

I've read that this is a pretty common problem, but I haven't come across a definite solution (other than, I'm assuming, buying everything new). Is it possible to have the ECU and gauge cluster reprogrammed to US-spec without erasing the tune that's in the ECU? If I would purchase a take-off US-spec ECU and cluster, does anyone still do tunes for these bikes?

My other problem is the engine light will randomly turn on and off while riding. There's a code 7.2 Fuel sensor short-circuit to ground in the bike. The previous owner also told me that this is solved by changing the fuel pump wire harness (which he included in the sale, part #51020031A). He found out that removing the fuel tank is a lot of work and never got around to it. Is this something that's also a common issue on these bikes?

These are both relatively minor issues with the bike, and it runs great otherwise (especially considering I paid $1000 for it), but I'd like to get it to 100 percent before next spring. Thanks for any help

Hey all, I'm shopping for my first Ducati and am looking for something to complement my S1000XR. The SXR is an amazing sport touring bike for long days in the saddle but I'm looking for something just for the canyons for 1-3 hour riding. For that use case, which of the following 3 options would you go with?

2019 Ducati Monster 1200 25 Anniversary

2024 Ducati Monster 30th Anniversary

2025 Ducati Panigale V2S

I bought a 2023 scrambler icon dark first. It was amazing! I rode it until it needed new tires at 16k. But I couldn’t find replacements, so traded it in.

Then, a 2024 multistrada v2s. I did 10k in 2 months. Had my first pillion and low side. Full gear, no injuries. Repaired it, and close to selling it.

Now, a 2026 streetfighter v2s. And I just can’t get enough! I got it with a proper leather suit and it’s amazing.

I’ll make another post about the costs one day. But for now I can’t believe I was lucky enough to start with a Ducati and fortunate enough to get more of them.

I’m shopping for my next motorcycle and Pikes Peak is on top of the list. What’s a reasonable out the door price I should expect in VA/MD area? I’ve had several Harleys the last one being a Road Glide CVO ST almost all of the Harleys I’ve owned I got for MSRP or below (CVO ST) out the door. Is this something unheard of with Ducatis? Time to freak out?

I plugged the two visible return ports in the rocker bay and thought I was good. Turns out there’s a nearly invisible 3rd port, only saw it once I got out a mirror. I think the collet went into it. I’m going to go magnet fishing, if that doesn’t work I’ll drain the oil and hopefully it’s on the magnet of the oil plug.

Any other suggestions? Does this mean an engine tear down if I can’t find it? I’m new to this stuff with Ducati, any wisdom appreciated.

hi everyone I have recently acquired a 22 SF V2, and wanted to know if I should expect the worst low speed or around town behavior the superquadro engine exhibit. heard so much horror story about the lumpy throttle response at low rpm. Please share some insight much appreciated.

Got my first Ducati and it's also my first bike! Nobody in my circle rides or cares, but I'm so excited so here is my baby. The sound <3 I still need to get a new set of tires and fix some other small stuff. I just can't wait to ride.
