I'm trying to make a shooter that shoot both balls. This is mostly inspired by Andy Marks starter. It's not the best sketch but it's something. Will this actually work?

We have to be really careful when we charge our drive hubs lest they drain the battery completely. When I charge the drive hub, and leave it overnight it charges fully. If however, I leave it plugged in and charging for multiple days (we only have practice two days a week), it seems to completely drain the battery.

I've done tests charging the drive hub both powered on and powered off and it doesn't seem to matter. I've tried "dumb" USB-A charging, and "smart" USB-C PD charging, with the same results. We're running the latest software updates on the drive hub. I've already ordered two additional batteries just to get our drive hub back and functional.

We have put together the Driver Hub Battery Best practices to help with teams in this situation. Leaving the Driver Hub plugged in and charging for multiple days is not recommended. The Driver Hub will charge the battery to 100% then stop charging as a safety feature, leaving the Driver Hub on the charger after 100% will start to drain the battery. It is also best to remove your Driver Hub from the charger within 24 hours of reaching 100%.

So my mechanical team wants to try to use the smallest amount possible of space, so we decided that we should do something similar with what gamma and robotitans from Romania did last season, can anyone help us?

ive heard that they are either reliable or that they break easily. we want our turret to be snappy and it would porbably be moving for the enitre duration of each match, if that helps/matters

My team is having trouble figuring out between whether we should use pedropathing or roadrunner.

I just wanted to know some other people's opinions in hopes that you guys could decide for us which would would be better for this years biobuzz auto?

Tuning time isn't a problem for our team.

Also some people are sayin that we could alter the roadrunner stuff and change it so it can be better? Anyone have any ideas on if thats plausible and what changes could be made so it's better than pedro?

We always talk about dominant teams, but what about the worst-to-first runs? I wanted to share the insane turnaround by Team 25872, the Martian Mechanics, during the 2025-2026 DECODE season.

The Low Point: After the first two meets of the Neil Armstrong League, they were sitting in 14th place out of 18 teams. Their record was 2-8-0. They were getting absolutely crushed early on, getting outscored 44-5 and 61-14 in Meet 2.

The Turnaround: They completely overhauled their bot for the Neil Armstrong Tournament. They went undefeated in quals and started dropping massive scores (80-55, 115-31).

The Playoff Upset: Even though their early record tanked their overall ranking (11th place), the #3 Alliance Captain (Team 25884, The Circuit Breakers) saw their potential and drafted them. Together, they tore through the upper bracket (81 and 96 points) and then upset the powerhouse #1 seed 91-83 in the finals to become League Champions.

It's the ultimate FTC Cinderella story. Has anyone else witnessed a turnaround this crazy?

It started because our team was juggling a bunch of different Google Docs, a notes app, and a random spreadsheet just to stay organized. So I put everything in one place.

What’s in it:

Hi, so we currently use the gobilda duo servos that cam from the DECODE starterbot, (specifically these: 2000 Series Dual Mode Servo (25-2, Torque)) and I was aware that they can be used as both CR servos and regular ones. We have tried to use them as CR servos, we set it in the robot configuration and we programmed them like so, using set power rather than set position, but they're still doing the very annoying thing where they move to a certain position, and then move backwards. I'm aware the usually we'd need to use the servo programmer to fix it, but we've unfortunately lost ours and surprisingly, no other team near us has one supposedly, my guess is just that they don't want to loan it out. We are relatively far away, so while I appreciate offers to borrow your servo programmers it simply won't be possible. We've ordered a new one, but it's expected to come in a VERYYYY long time, as in after our competition. Is there anything we can do until then to get rid of the annoying feature where the servos turn and then turn the other way? Because we're using it as a transfer, and it's really not working out for us. Anyways thank you!

Hello! I have created a practice competition-like scoreboard that allows you to put the scores of the current round on a screen (TV, projector, etc) and control it from your phone, tablet, or laptop!

This is great for practicing, and makes you feel as if you are at a real FTC event when running through practice rounds. It has a score keeper, timer, drive team tracker, and more built in!

I wanted to add pidf tuning to my team's robot this season, since last year our launcher was really slow. I came across this repo:

and was wondering if it was still relevant and useful. I couldn't find too many videos on how to setup pidf in your own teleop programs and how to use it as well as how to tune it apart from Brogan Pratt and Noah Bres. Pratt's video was good and very informative but I got lost when he was tuning it because lots of people were saying to get the kF value from just doing 32767/ velocity but Pratt manually finds it. We tried using Pratt's video last year but found it very time consuming and hard to implement into our current teleop code. Are there any tips you guys have on how to get started with this kinda thing, or videos that could help? Or if you think Bres's repo and videos help could you point me in the right direction?

Hi. I'm having problems with VisionPortal. Currently, my initialization code looks like this:

In the camera stream during initialization, the tag ID shows up on the screen, and it detects, but once I run the code, aprilTag.getDetections doesn't return anything, and nothing shows up in scrcpy. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Sharing a 3D printable 1:18 scale model of the Biobuzz game field, with articulating hives. Infinity Tech FTC 13684 created this model to discuss game strategies with our alliance partners at competitions. We used to discuss strategy with a paper field printout, but starting with the Decode season we made a 3D printed version and it was so much better.
