Hello everyone!! As the title above says I am an aspiring VA who is looking for any kind of work!! • Age/Vibe: Young adult / Late teens to mid-20s. Sarcastic, unbothered, cynical, and battle-hardened. Think Magik-inspired edge—someone who has seen it all and isn't easily impressed.
• Voice Description: Mid-deep range, raspy, dry, and deadpan.
• Accent: Russian / Slavic accent (grounded and natural rather than cartoonish). - Note: It's okay if you can't do a perfect Russian accent.

This episode will be used as the Key ingredient for the main plot and will drive the story forward.

I'm the creator and writer of Dyme, an original, audio-only Appalachian horror series, and I'm putting out an open call for male and female voice actors to join the production.

About the show

Dyme is a Southern Gothic horror story set in a fictional Appalachian town where something evil is stirring beneath the surface. The story follows Clara Hathsbury, one of the last remaining members of her family, as she searches for her mother, who disappeared seven years ago. As strange and increasingly dangerous events unfold, Clara finds herself standing between the town she loves and something that threatens to destroy it. The problem? Almost nobody believes her, and she has no idea what she's doing.

Dyme is an already published, ongoing audio drama, with episodes currently being released:

• A full four-season story arc is planned.
• The first season is written. But we're looking to edit it to incorporate voice actors.
• The show is actively being produced and released.
• I'm looking to bring additional voices into an established world with an ongoing narrative.

We've passed 200 downloads in our first 2 weeks and looking to supercharge that growth by adding voice actors into the first season. We're a fast moving, spunky, determined team of two and if you're looking for a credit and to jump right into something that's on the move, then we're the show for you.

We're building this independently, and I'm excited to connect with talented voice actors who might want to become part of the project as it grows. We've got some good traction and looking for those who want to bring this to life with us.

Roles I'm currently looking to fill

Our main Character Clara Hathsbury: 19 going on 90, an old soul, and the series main character. She's mixed race, a thick but perfectly understandable Southern accent, opinionated, and sharp tongued.  

Caroline Hathsbury: 26, Clara's older sister, little to no southern accent. She's a single mother, software engineer, and would rather be left alone, but is kind. 

Our male lead Detective Marks: 28, Dyme's new detective who has recently moved from New Jersey. He's a golden boy, type A, detail oriented, an accomplished detective, and neurodivergent. He's got boy scout energy who thinks in black and white, yet has a mysterious past. Why has he left New Jersey for a small holler town like Dyme?

Detective Columney: Mid 40s, thick southern accent, he's as big as a mountain and as strong as one, stern, yet has a soft spot for Clara and often times is the only one holding the town and his family together.

And a variety of other background male/female character roles ranging from the elderly to cops. 

We're also open to some of the main cast—if capable, this isn't a hard requirement—filling some of the background character roles.

These roles are including the first season only, but there are many many more opportunities in future seasons from supernatural foes and allies to antagonists that act devilish, but are plum ordinary humans.

Hey! I’m Marc, and me and my girlfriend have decided we wanted to do a manga dub with multiple other voice actors, which is why I’m here now. There’s a casting call link for the project below. You can audition through there (which is the best way to do it) or if you’re interested and don’t know what CCC is, then you can send a DM/comment on here asking to audition through discord instead.

The only thing you need to know is all lines will be recorded asynchronously. It makes it easier to edit in everything, so instead of having everyone record in one big call, we’ll record on our own.
