Before and after of my living room after about 8 months of messing with it.
Got some really helpful guidance from this group along the way, so figured I’d share where it ended up.
Still need to deal with the overhead boob light situation. Not sure if I should keep it simple or do a short pendant.
What would you all do?

Basically the title says it all. My bedroom still feels “off” and I don’t know what to change.
The biggest thing is not having a door, but I rent so I can’t really do anything about that.
I feel like the layout is kind of weird but I’ve tried some other layouts that didn’t feel any better. I put my bed in other configurations but space-wise it’s ended up working best in front of the window. I don’t love the bookshelf and chair but they’re family heirlooms I can’t get rid of at the moment.
Particularly, my dresser and vanity feels off because the wall is so bare. I’ve put up a few different jewelry holders but my cat keeps knocking them down lol. Should I hang the mirror instead? Put up more art? I have a bunch of art I could hang I just don’t know the best configuration.
What can I do to make my room feel more cohesive and complete?

I love furniture that looks good without trying too hard. The design, the finish, the little details — they all make a difference.
Would you go for this style in your home, or do you prefer something more modern and minimal?

Looking for advice on how to tone down the orange wood color that is currently present in our room. the bed frame, dresser and nightstands are also a similar color wood which does not help.
I'm looking for something to add dimension and vibrancy to the space while still highlighting the natural features of the room. I think the wood is beautiful! and am not looking to/able to make any changes to it (rental apartment).
Photos 1-3 are the current bedroom and 4-6 are inspiration/the vibe I would like to work towards.

We moved into this house a few years ago and I’ve slowly been making each room my own. I feel like I’ve had a specific vision for each room, but when it comes to our primary bedroom… I’ve got nothin’. I want it to feel cozy and inviting, but can’t seem to figure out how to get it there. I’d love to go dark and moody, but I’m not sure how to do that with the existing wallpaper (or how to get my husband on board). What would you add or change in this room, keeping in mind that the major elements—furniture, wallpaper, and curtains—all have to stay for now?
Also, before the r/tvtoohigh people come for me— I already know. 😆

Finally moved back into an apartment of my own (37 year old male) and decided I wanted my home to feel like my own personal little creative retreat and sanctuary... it's not going to be everyone's thing but it couldn't feel more like home to me!
No AI or filtering used except for the entrance picture (to remove my apartment number).

How is everyone arranging their faux branches in vases? Do you go for a more dramatic uneven spread like I’ve done or do you go for neater arrangements?

Went with woven ramie shades from NeutralCurtains for the playroom. Loved how the woven texture looks warm without blocking all the light, but four panels in a row with nothing else around them feels a little flat. Wondering if I should add side curtains to frame the windows or just leave the shades on their own. What do you think?

Kind of as the title describes. Got our first place (woohoo) and we are doing renovations and repainting. I’ve been putting this bathroom off for two weeks now hoping a color or idea will have struct me and it still hasn’t.
Rest of our house will be 70’s or mid century modern inspired in terms of furniture and painted walls if that matters. I just do not want plain white walls in this bathroom because I think it’ll be off compared to the rest of the house. And I haven’t found any good inspiration to help me get the ball rolling in getting this room even tackled…
Any and all reccomendations would be highly appreciated :) Thanks

How can I make it better? I haven’t put up my frames or anything yet

I have all these appliances (air fryer, toaster, blender, electric kettle, etc) but not enough counter space for them. I used to leave them here with the cords handing (like in the photo) but recently got a dog and he’s been pulling the cords (already broke one appliance).
Thoughts on how to make this functional, cute and protected from the dog?

Most people see a beautiful marble dining table and focus on the surface, the color, or the design.
But have you ever wondered how a marble tabletop longer than 3 meters is joined together internally?
A table this large isn’t just about choosing a beautiful slab. The joining method, internal support, and installation all matter when it comes to creating a stable, well-finished piece.

Hi! Is there a world with our bed (the Avocado Monteceito) and this dresser (Naturepedic Savona Dresser) work together? Someone please convince me
I have a severe allergy in the house so looking for non formaldehyde pieces and this is the best I’ve found

So this is more of a small mother in law than an apartment, it’s a 2 bed 1 bath my bestfriend and I will be renting together and we can’t figure out how to best optimize the singular communal space. This kitchen area (included in pictures below) is right off the entrance and has a carpeted nook to the right of it before opening to the hallway to our rooms, laundry, and bathroom. Is this just enough room for a dining table and functional kitchen? It’s just the two of us but we’d love to be able to have people over, what could we do to make it more liveable other than making the small carpeted area more storage or something. Any ideas help I’m curious!

Sizing, slipping of the cushions, how it’s held up over the month/years? please!!

Hi there! We have a guest bathroom that I want to update, without investing too much because it isn't used a ton.
I was thinking of changing the vanity to a white one, changing out the mirror and light, removing the shower doors and hanging a high shower curtain.
I am stumped by the yellowish beige tile. I don't like the color, but replacing it feels like a big lift. Any ideas?

I hate my coffee table, can't put feet on it, too leggy, and found this bronze metal style one which is 90cm, and a little bit lower. My current one is 70cm wide. But at same time I really like the black organic shaped one which is 120cm long. Could be too big for my current sofa but intend to replace that in coming year with something wider and in fabric. But functionally both are okay. Which one should I get?
Most of my stuff is from marketplace, table was originally $70 second hand, likewise for everything else really so it'll be the first time I buy something new. Don't like wasting money unless I'm certain.
