My beanie hat, designed and crocheted entirely by me.

I designed this hat myself and crocheted it using yarn made of 50% wool and 50% acrylic. I worked with two strands of yarn held together and used a 3 mm crochet hook.

I decorated the hat with blue beads and a crescent moon charm.

There is no crochet pattern available for this hat, as it is my own original design, which I created from scratch.

To finish the hat, I attached strands of yarn to both sides and braided them into long decorative braids.

Finished my filet crochet cardigan✨🧚🏼

finally finished this cardigan and I’m really happy with how it turned out! 🥹

I made it completely without a pattern. The construction is actually pretty simple — I used a basic raglan construction and then added a few details of my own to make it feel more special.

I used Alize Angora gold and a 2 mm crochet hook. I wanted it to be lightweight and airy, so I went with a more open crochet stitch and added the lace detail along the bottom.

It started as a pretty simple idea, but I really love how the little details changed the whole look.
And what do you think of the lace detail? 🤍

My big project

I've been seeing this crochet project on Youtube, so I decided to make one for myself. Well, it was tiring at first since it took me 2-3 weeks (hehe, I was busy with other stuff too), but it was worth it.

Has anyone ever done a Gingham Granny Square blanket?

Post image

I have been working on making an extra long twin blanket and want to enter into next year’s state fair with it. My colors for this project are Charcoal Gray, Light Jasmine, and Ombré Violet for my squares and perhaps Lavender for the joining of the squares with Charcoal Gray for my double border. I want the judges to be able to separate the different colors and see how well they look together in one piece. My squares are also a bit different from the more traditional ones. I only have to count my stitches and change the colors with every row to create the Gingham square and then place them accordingly to create the pattern. I am using a 6.0 mm traditional crochet hook for this project but my future project will be with Tunisian. I have a feeling that I will enjoy that. Eventually though I would like to integrate the two to create one large blanket. I know it can be done and I just need the new set of Tunisian hooks to arrive so I can do a refresher course on that. Main thing is getting the hang of it and being able to make something that will meet full approval from myself and others before I get ready to start working on the larger project.

The green and black one was a bunch of random left over skeins of jumbo size 7 of black, random grey, greens, blue and white that I had and then just shredded and fused together. Used moss stictcy all the way through. I adore this watch blanket

Which hook size should I use ?

For my first wearable, I want to crochet the raglan alpine sweater so I bought brushed alpaca silk and merino wool. One calls for a 5mm hook and the other for a 3mm one. Can I use a 4mm hook without getting a sweater that has too many holes ? How will the drape be different ?

Stayed up until 3am last night weaving in the ends (and prancing around in front of the mirror with it lol). I actually really like the colours!! It still looks a little messy to me, but I’m hoping I can actually use it out and about! :D

His name is Flint and I got the pattern from the book Crochet Goomis by Louie's Loops.

I really love this designer because his patterns are just adorable and are fairly quick to go through. I also like that he gives instructions on what to do for the left and right legs, arms, etc. As someone who constantly gets their lefts and rights muddled, this is really helpful. Another thing that I like about them is that their tutorials on YouTube are a lot slower than some other peoples, so that it is easy for someone like me to follow along without getting too lost.

I wasn't sure what to do with the white ends once I had finished sewing on the teeth, so I just left them. He does have eyes, it's just that I'm not great at sewing or embroidery and I used what I think is a thicker yarn than the one that I had used for the body without realising.

Other than that, I think that he turned out really well.

What do you all think of him?

How to get pet hair off crocheted clothing?

Hello crochet community! I'm looking for guidance on what others do and to hopfully find a better solution. What do you use to get pet hair off of your crocheted clothes? I've really been into crocheting clothing lately and have made a few things im really proud of but I also have a husky and her hair is everywhere! What is best to use to get rid of pet hair without damaging the yarn? Any guidance or tips are apreciated!

Is there any way to make a raglan sweater less frumpy?

This is the first raglan style sweater I've made, something about it just feels frumpy, is that just the design or is there something I could do to fix it?

I'm not a small girl but I feel like sweater makes me look bigger and boxy.

I’m making a cardigan for my daughter and I’m afraid I’m gonna run out of yarn but I have no idea what yarn it is.
