I recently finished a very large painting on canvas and wanted to experiment a little bit with a gel medium added to my paint. I usually only use water when painting with acrylics so this was a bit of a change for me. I’m happy with how my experiment went and I think I’ll keep practicing with it going forward. my latest rainy window painting titled, “halcyon”. this piece was inspired by the early childhood memories of drawing on a rainy window during autumn. this piece serves as a reminder of childhood memories and having those little pockets of peace after a rainy autumn day🍁🤍.

nostalgic pieces are definitely my favorites to create, and something about fall pairs so well with that feeling to me. hope this brought back a memory for you!

Would like a fresh pair of eyes to see and give opinion/critique.
They said it's nice but there wasn't an excitement from them. I'm not sad just wanna know where can i fix? does it look mediocre? Or is something fucked up about the anatomy?

Been practicing gouache painting with the Nicker poster colors which are really smooth and creamy. They have beautiful vibrant colors as well. Did a study of some wild horses 🐎 from Ocean City.

I also want to do bigger paintings and maybe try oil painting again one day but currently don't have the confidence. Thinking about trying water soluble oil paint 🎨 one day.

How do you guys work on making bigger paintings? Also what's your favorite medium 🤔?

I am finding its much harder to make little imperfections look good, and it takes more detail and intention to create interesting texture across the painting

This is a small study where I added cold wax medium to my oil paint. I don’t usually see tons of realistic work with this medium, but I’m enjoying the results.

Always been interested in painting, but never started. Had my first child and she goes to daycare now, so I needed to start a hobby to spend my free time.

I cant wait to grow in whatever style suites me :)
