Just dropped in my league and holding waiver order for 1. I liked him going into the draft but wasn’t able to get him. I really believed in Dobes after last years playoffs just curious if anyone has any insight as to his poor performances and if Fowler or Montembault have a shot at the starting spot. Is he worth a snag?

I late drafted perfetti, podkolzin and just picked up skinner and garand. I expect these guys to come back down to earth and am wondering if there are some good buy low guys to target in a trade.

Who are your current buy lows?

My thought process is:

You put your team at a disadvantage and don’t bear +/- if they score on the powerplay. Makes no sense why you would gain points

Or for category leagues, it should be least PIMs 🤷‍♂️

Thought byfield would take a big step this year being on the first line, but buddy is playing terrible.

Do you think he will get better as season goes on?

donuts after donuts, but the deployment is still there? right? On third line even strength and only seeing 15 minutes a night. But that PP1 is so tantalizing and that first game he looked so good.

All 32 teams played last night, so I decided to provide a note on each of the teams as a special occasion. Every morning KodoHockey produces a morning recap along with some forward looking info to help your squad.

Here are 10 of the teams with the rest found at the link below:

CHI: Roman Kantserov scored twice in Connor Bedard's first game back, on a line with Kane and on PP1. That's 3 goals in 7 games, all in his last two, and he's rostered in 6% of ESPN leagues. Add him.

WPG: Cole Perfetti scored twice, including the power-play winner, playing most of his even-strength time again with Scheifele and Connor and nearly all of the top power play. He has 8 points in 6 games, 5 on the power play. Big hold.

STL: Robert Thomas and Dylan Holloway had one point each in a 7-2 win and still have no goals. Thomas has 6 shots and Holloway 10 so far this year, and their chances add up to about 0.85 and 1.2 expected goals. Buy low on Thomas in points leagues, and on Holloway in points and banger leagues (13 hits) if you believe they can recapture anything close to the end of last season.

EDM: Vasily Podkolzin scored twice more next to McDavid and on PP1: 7 goals and 27 hits in 6 games. Hyman is close and Nugent-Hopkins is out seemingly until at least Oct. 24. At 81% rostered, hold, or sell high in points leagues but remain holding in bangers. He has the banger floor at least if anything changes in his role when those 2 return.

FLA: Brady Tkachuk had a hat trick, Matthew Tkachuk 5 assists and Seth Jones 4 in a 7-3 win over Columbus. Jones has 7 points in 7 games against a 45-point projection. The buy-low window on all three is closed.

BUF: Ostlund, Quinn and Benson keep running Buffalo's top power play with Thompson and Power. Add order in points leagues: Ostlund (2% rostered, 4 points), then Quinn (22%), then Benson (10%).

MIN: Maxim Shabanov plays only about 15 minutes a night, but he's on the top unit of the league's best power play (36.8%) with Kaprizov, Eriksson Ek and Boldy. 3 power-play points in 7 games, 5% rostered.

DET: Michael Brandsegg-Nygård had a goal, an assist, 4 shots and 6 hits on a line with DeBrincat and Finnie. That's 5 points and 22 hits in 6 games, rostered in 1% of leagues. Banger add.

SJS: Dmitry Orlov took Luca Cagnoni's spot on San Jose's top power play after the first period, and that unit scored both times. Cagnoni (25%) is a drop in 10 and 12-team leagues if it holds.

CAR: Pyotr Kochetkov had 2 straight starts, a .911 save percentage, and has saved almost 2 more goals than expected, against Bussi's .871. 27% rostered and the better add if Carolina keeps leaning his way.

Also, what scoring is typical for Shootout game wining goals? I got J Robertson with his shootout goal tonight & I don’t think I got any points for it, maybe +/- points but I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♂️

ETA: just to be clear, I’m just a manager in this league, not commissioner, so no control over points setup; it’s what I’m working with.

Do we think he can a be a year long waiver wire pickup?

He’s been very mediocre the past two weeks. He’s still got great deployment but it seems he can’t produce much even with Kuch on his line. For any Tampa fans, do you think he’s still dealing with lingering issues from his injuries last year, or is the team as a whole not gelling?

New GM in our league dropped schieff and Misa, and acknowledged that he ment to do that, commissioner forced them back onto their roster even after the GM saying he wanted to drop them, which ended up making the roster illegal and him receiving no points last night because of it. Whats your thoughts on this move by the commish?
