Painting carbs
When I was growing up, my dad‘s favorite birthday cake was Boston cream pie (which is, actually, a cake) – and the donut version is a Bavarian cream. His birthday was a few days before mine and Mom made him make a Boston cream….and I asked for one too, so she’d always roll her eyes at us making her bake it twice.
Neither of them is around anymore, but donuts always bring back those memories. When asked to fill in for a friend in a livestream showing multiple artists watercoloring donuts…I couldn’t say no. 🍩

Painted this cat portrait with watercolors 🎨🐈
I painted this cat portrait using watercolors and really enjoyed working on the soft fur textures and that bright blue eye.
I also filmed the full painting process
What do you think of the final result?

Sold my first painting
I entered two paintings for an open call. The gallery just called and said they sold this one. I am so psyched!

Tis the season for some spooky practice
I was very happy with my ability to FINALLY let the water do its thing. The flowiness of it all was very fun to create

My watercolour paintings!
I’m a beginner and started watercolour painting at a low point in my life.
I honestly fell in love with this art style.
I’d love your input on these! :))

"Once a day, give yourself a present. Today it's cherry pie."😉
After eating a damn fine cherry pie, had to illustrate it!

Does watercolour paper fully decompose?
I do apologize if this doesn't properly fit this sub, but thought this was my best bet.
My grandma is being buried in two days, and we have the possibility to put letters in her coffin with her.
I wrote my letter on a piece of watercolour paper that she gave me ~15 years ago, but I'm not fully sure if it'll be able to decompose. I'm therefore a bit scared that the letter won't be allowed to be buried with her, and just wanted to find out beforehand.
(I do apologize if my English is incorrect or unclear at points, it's my third language and I'm not the best at proofreading at this time)

Pasta noodles
I tried to catch the depth of the bowl but it looks a little flat! Any suggestions?

My friend died.
I’m not sure anymore. I almost wish this were just the lyrics to a song. I feel like I’m sinking lower and lower, and my home life is falling apart. Every night, my hands tremble—I wonder if I’ll even be able to keep drawing. I paint after school on weekdays and after my part-time job on weekends, but my mind is a complete mess. Sometimes, I even feel a sense of resentment—why did this have to happen to me? I know, that’s probably just an excuse; there are so many people in the world who have it harder than I do. Still, I want to voice this—even if it’s just a small, quiet whisper—that things have become a bit too much to bear. I can’t tell my friends or my followers on Instagram. Here, where no one knows me, I actually feel more at ease. But even so, I’m going to keep drawing. Because I believe that’s where beauty lies.

Wrapped in feathers, held in a quiet moment between human and bird. 🪶
Watercolor and ink on paper.
