Bangkok/Middle Bangkok or Ao Nang for New Year’s Eve with a 5-year-old?
Hi everyone!
We’re visiting Thailand from 28 December to 24 January with our 5-year-old son. We’ll spend 29–31 December in Bangkok (staying at Hotel Miami), then fly to Krabi on 31 December and spend New Year’s Eve in Ao Nang before heading to Koh Yao Yai on 1 January to stay at Santhiya for 4 nights. I’m considering changing our flight to 1 January so we can spend New Year’s Eve in Bangkok and experience the countdown and fireworks around CentralWorld. However, I’ve read reports about crazy traffic, huge crowds and transport problems, especially with a young child. Would you stick with Ao Nang for a more relaxed evening, or is celebrating New Year’s Eve in Bangkok worth the extra stress? I’d really appreciate advice from people who’ve experienced both!

Isaan/North-East Beyond rice fields: Discovering Phra That Na Dun (The "Buddha Monthon of Isan") near Maha Sarakham 🏺🇹🇭
If you are traveling through Isan or staying around Maha Sarakham and want to explore something rich in history away from the usual tourist traps, check out Phra That Na Dun.
It is located about 65 km south of Maha Sarakham city. This area was once the ancient and magnificent city of Si Champa, dating back to the Dvaravati period (8th–10th century AD).
Archaeologists made huge historical discoveries here, including a sacred stupa containing Buddha relics nested inside three elaborate caskets made of bronze, silver, and solid gold! (The main original artifacts are now displayed at the Khon Kaen National Museum).
📍 How to get there by car/scooter: From Maha Sarakham, take Highway 2040 towards Kae Dam and Wapi Pathum, then turn right onto Highway 2045 at Amphoe Na Dun. Total distance is around 65 km.
Definitely worth a day trip if you love ancient history, local temples, and off-the-beaten-path Thai culture! Have any of you guys visited this site before?

Bangkok/Middle Any recommendations on coffee and food places in this area?
Considering staying at the Movenpick wellness center, getting a lay of the land for places people may have tried and thought was good.
Will have a toddler so im trying to get destinations ready.
Anyone stayed there btw? Thoughts?
TIA

Bangkok/Middle 2 Nights in Bangkok. Recommendations?!
Considerations:
1. I am solo, 34, male, and will stay in at either S/O, or Valia hotel.
2. Never been to Bangkok before
3. Too many rooftops to visit, but would like to hit at least 2
4. I have 24blvd, Tulum, Aether, and Sky bar on possible spots to hit up.
5. A luxury cruise? Whichever is the most fun but not super crowded
6. I might have time on one of the days to check out some of the temples, but its mostly an afternoon availability situation for me this trip.
Thanks for any help!

Transport/Itineraries 12 day trip itinerary question
My (now) wife and I booked a trip to Thailand for our honeymoon at the end of December and are looking to relax on the beach, try local foods, see some sights, and squeeze in some culture.
We are currently flying into Phuket and out of Koh Samuii. Our original itinerary has us doing 3 nights in Phuket, 4 in Koh Lanta, and 5 in Koh Samuii. We've heard some things that maybe Koh Lanta is too quiet and we should skip it, or that Koh Samuii is too far and a weather risk at that time of year. Any more experienced opinions to settle our minds one way or another?

Other Advice
I’m going to be traveling for around two weeks beginning of November. A couple of questions that I’d like some advice on.
My boyfriend thinks we should bring two check bags and two carry ons that I thought was a lot to bring. He says we’d be shopping and bringing things back and can keep them in lockers while we visit other cities. What’s someone take on that?
Chiang Mai - we are debating monks trail and sticky water or do inthanon and someone can sway me.
In terms of packing. I was planning to bring exactly 7 outfits and get laundry done there. Is that too little and does anyone have experience with how accessible laundry is? I also imagine I’ll be sweating a lot and probably need more clothes.
Lastly any massage recommendations?

Phuket/Krabi/South Planning a trip from 17 to 21 Oct to Krabi. What are the things that I can explore in October. I want to see fire show, explore beaches, islands, emerald and blue pool. Are these easily doable in October or closed due to weather?

Borders/Visas Traveling w/ tirzepatide into Thailand
Hi friends,
I'm headed to Thailand very soon and wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with traveling to the country with their injections? I've read a couple things, but these were all from a few years back and wanted to see if anyone had any recent stories.
I am receiving my prescription from Walgreens pharmacy, so I can definitely have it in the same box along with the label that has my name on it. Am just a teeny bit concerned about some of the stories that I have heard about having a doctor's note about the prescription or having a physical copy of the prescription? My written prescription is unfortunately teeny tiny when I've gone in to ask for a copy as these were electronically transmitted, so I I don't know if that would fly.
I'd be bringing one kwikpen to use for the two weeks that I'll be inside the country. :)

Chiang Mai/North Redeeming 7 Eleven stamps for Monchhichi product?
Hello! First time in Thailand and within my first week here I accumulated enough stamps for the Monchhichi pack away duffle (a stranger gave me like 120 baht in stamps at the first 7 Eleven I stopped at in Bangkok lol)
I REALLY want it, but I’ve been seeing online that you probably need to preorder it? I’m in Chiang Mai for the next 3 days and then move to Phuket for another 4.
Realistically, could I find a store with this in stock around Chiang Mai? Or should I try in Phuket for better luck?

Bangkok/Middle How’s the cloud gaming like in Thailand these days?
Most of the posts I see are pretty old, wondering if services like GeForce Now are smooth and modern in Bangkok now or there’s still issues?

Bangkok/Middle BKK to BedStation Hostel
I’m planning to stay at BedStation and will be arriving into BKK around 9-9:30am on a Friday which sounds to be pretty heavy for traffic in Bangkok. Would it be a good idea to take the airport rail link to Phaya Thai and then catch a 12ish minute grab/bolt from there to the hostel? I’ll only have my carry on suitcase and a backpack. Just looking for the cheapest thing that will keep me out of traffic as much as possible. For my way back, I have a flight that leaves BKK at 9:30am as well.

Bangkok/Middle Never been to Thailand - is 30 days in BKK crazy?
Hear me out. It's so expensive to get there from the US, and I feel like 7 days is about how long it'll take me to get over jet lag, then I head home. But I can work remotely. So theoretically I could travel to Bangkok for a week of vacation and work the rest of the month from a condo and do fun things on the weekends and evenings.
Everything I've heard about Thailand sounds amazing, but like I said it'll be my first time. If it was like a 5 hour flight for $700 or whatever I'd be much more inclined to spend a week there to test the water.
Edit: I'll definitely travel around, but I think I'll rent a condo in Bangkok as my base of operations.

Other U.S Tourist: Adderall Prescription
Hello!
I am an American traveling to Thailand for two weeks with a big group.
I have been doing some reading and saw that Adderall is a Schedule 1 drug in Thailand with heavy restrictions. I do have an Adderall prescription in the US for my ADHD, but I understand it is incredibly hit-or-miss when going through Thai customs.
Is there any way to circumvent this with special documentation or submitting paperwork prior to arrival? I understand that I should only bring as much medication as prescribed if permitted, but just wanted to see if anybody else had some experience with this.

Transport/Itineraries One month in Thailand, either November or December?
I'd like the trip to have bits of night life (mostly bars and pubs scene, no night clubbing), as well as exploring culture, history, food and the last of the trip to be a chillmode, either resort or some chill hippie town.
Initially, I'll arrive in Bangkok, no clue how many days though and totally clueless about other cities, and as mildly asthmatic, would prefer the cities and towns to not be too polluted (I understand that's hard in general in Southeast Asia).

Pattaya/Samet/Hua Hin Koh Larn tomorrow – Tawaen or Nual Beach?
Hey! We’re thinking of going to Koh Larn tomorrow
Tawaen Beach seems like the easiest option since you can take the ferry straight there, but I’ve heard it gets pretty busy. Is it really packed with tourists at the moment?
We’re also looking at Nual Beach (Monkey Beach) since it looks a bit quieter.
Just wondering:
Is Nual Beach actually quieter than Tawaen?
Can you sit on the beach for free, or do you have to pay for sunbeds?
Are there places to buy food and drinks at Nual Beach?
Is it easy to get a taxi/songthaew between the beaches and the pier?
Would you just go straight to Nual, or try Tawaen first and see how it is?
Tawaen would be easier for us with the little one, but we’d rather find somewhere we can relax without it being absolutely packed.
Any advice from people who’ve been recently would be appreciated!
