general Just another battle rifle at the end of the day.
Close enough to an AR-10. “AR-10s” are just as far apart from each other anyways.

Hey guys, I've ordered and got some mods you've recommended on my previous post so here it is. I am very happy with it.
I got Vickers Sling, See through mag, Bacon wrap and I am waiting on the last gen Little bastard muzzle brake, got the trigger lock too.
I am thinking of that mod that allows you to fold the stock, but I've forgotten the name of it, I'm unsure if I will be comfortable with the increase in length and I think my cheek will miss the cheek pad of the stock once installed. I rarely prone and I am planning to go boar/bear hunting soon, do you think I should get a bipod and the flat handle grip for it? Many thanks guys ✌🏻

I have a lightweight ar308. It's not an actual ar10 but I feel this group would be a good place to ask. Sometimes I hunt pig with a thermal but I want to setup this rifle for hunting pigs in the day time/dusk. Because I like to get out and hike in the forest with my rifle. I've been mostly using my bolt gun( that I have setup for sheep) but the magnification on that scope is too high for shot I'm taking while pig hunting. Where I hunt is thick jungle. Usually I'm staulking in thick dark forest, occasionally some open pastures. The longest shot I've taken on a wild hogs is 100 yards but most have been around 60, sometimes less. They can camouflage really well into the shadows so magnification is crucial so me for target identification.
My eyes aren't so good so I need some magnification. Should I equip the rifle with a 2-10 and a piggyback red dot ? Or a 1-6 lpvo? I like the idea of having the 1 x for quick snap shots. But having 1x on a scope sacrifices the low light performance. Opinions?

This thing is unfired and basically new old stock. It’s going to become a mk11 pretty soon. Did not come with the carry handle or other accessories/documentation unfortunately.

I really like the grips on my S&W M&P pistols so I ordered an AR grip. It feels great but I don't love the way it fits the gun. I'm not sure if I should try to form it by dipping it in hot water or something. Any thoughts?

I’m getting into shooting and I really want an AR 10. I’ve done some research into what rifles are good but rarely get a satisfactory answer. I have a budget of about 2 grand and want something that will work well out of the box. Any tips as to what to look for in a rifle and or what brands are good to buy from?
Edit: I suppose I should say if it’s worth it to save longer for something nicer I can do that. I have heard a lot of things about brands and ultimately it turns into the brand war propaganda. This would be my first rifle as the only other firearm I shoot regularly is my browning cynergy.
Any and all thoughts are welcome, thank you for your time

Both recent acquisitions. The top one is a PSA in 6.5CR is sporting a Vortex Viper and the bottom is a S&W M&P in 308 with a Trybe LPVO. They are both well equipped. I'm waiting for some range time to sight them in.

I bought my first AR-10, a Daniel Defense DD5v4.
I got mbus pro iron sights, a holosun 1x (2 moa) aems pro x2 and a holosun 6x magnifier.
Current setup -> front iron, rear iron, 1x red dot and then the 6x magnifier.
Not sure if there is a correct or recommended setup, any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.
The other setup I was considering is -> front iron, 1x red dot, rear iron and then magnifier.
Everything I have read suggests putting the irons as far apart as possible for accuracy/precision reasons - which makes sense to me, just unsure about order of components.
Thanks

PSA Sabre AR10 builder set. 22” 6.5CM barrel, rifle length gas system. SA AGB and Toolcraft dual ejector 6.5CM BCG. A5 length buffer tube, Tubbs flat wire AR10 spring with heavy 6.2 oz AR15 buffer. Haven’t test fired it yet. It’s extremely hard to rack back and the bolt isn’t held open on an empty magazine. I have tried other buffer/spring combos and it still doesn’t lock back and requires as much force to rack. Everything I read said the A5 length with AR10 spring and AR15 carbine buffer would work but this doesn’t seem right to me. Do I need a rifle length tube?

Anyone got a jp scs buffer in there rifle? Got the h2 weight in there but was wondering if adding another tungsten weight would help with hammer follow/ dead trigger when using binary mode. Got the franklin and right now this gun runs reliability in semi even with a non adjustable gas block. I can still run binary in bursts but I definitely can outrun the trigger shooting too fast. Maybe a little more weight to slow down the bcg to match the speed of my trigger pulls? Or just buy an agb and tweak it?

I've built a dozen AR-15s with great success and am thinking I would like to try my hand on the AR-10 platform too. I already have a Daniel DD5v4 in 6.5 Creedmore, but now I want a general purpose .308, maybe with FRT, and probably an 8.6 Blackout too. Enlighten me with your suggestions, advice, recommendations, resources, etc.
If it's common knowledge I should be able to find on a FAQ around here, I'll be looking for those and you need not bother, but if it's hard-won advice from the school of hard knocks or something esoteric that's pertinent to the 8.6 BLK or the FRT world, please chime in.

For anyone interested, they are expected to be released to the public Q1 of 2027. Per Criterion, they are currently undergoing testing.

I have a Centurion upper that I want to put on a Wilson lower, but I’m not sure how it would fit. Anybody have experience with this combination

My Wilson Combat WC10 with a Criterion heavy hybrid 22" 6.5 creedmoor barrel. It's mostly built from Wilson Combat parts except the Geissele SSA-E trigger, VG6 epsilon brake, and Magpul PRS Gen 3 stock. The scope is Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 with a Midwest Industries 20 mount and the bipod is a Atlas BT65 Gen II CAL.

I have a 12.5 Noveske 308 otw and I’m looking for an optic. Primary use case will be hunting white tail, pigs & yotes within 250~ yards/general range fun. I have the opportunity to get an ATACR 1-8 for 2K, should I go with that or are there better considerations in that price range
