The GP100 isnt named, but it seems odd to have it left over. It is one of the few revolvers good for uspsa anymore which may be why.

I’m seeking real world reviews on the vortex defender enclosed models. I’ve heard both good and bad things but most are just from vortex glazers/haters. if you’ve actually OWNED this red dot pls let me know if it’s any good.
(ps it’s not for this gun it will be on a shield x for edc)

Ruger is Discontinuing a huge chunk of their legacy models. Most of their Revolvers, most of the PC series. My PC Carbine is a great gun. 9mm 16 barrel carbine that looks like a traditional hunting rifle, has a top and bottom pic rail, has great iron sights, takes down into 2, and takes glock mags. I mean there aren't really that many pickings there, at least aesthetically. It's nice to have the option to get a PCC that's not trying to be a mini ar or an mp5.
And Ruger is just gutting their revolver lines. Pretty soon the smith 642/442 will be the only real player in the conceal carry revolver market. With the LCR getting the axe, Smith will have no reason to keep making the bodyguard 38. I don't think other companies offer anything as light weight and in the same price class as the 642 except Ruger with the LCR.
Ig Ruger is just gonna sell LCP's, max 9s, securities,RXM's and mini 14's lol.

Flashlight has since been changed since this photo was taken. It’s now a surefire with a pressure pad.
New Mac5k - finding a collapsible stock is proving to be a bitch, though. Any recommendations?

In Saint Petersburg (Russia), grenades, a rifle, and 2,000 rounds of ammunition were found at an elderly woman's home.

This is a new to me Interarms Walther PPK/S .380. It has these very shallow scratches around the Interarms logo. Shallow enough I don't feel them with my fingernail. Can I safely polish this off without damaging the logo? Will it be an obnoxious amount of work for it to still look blended in with the rest of the slide?
Also, there's what looks like weld marks on both sides of the chamber, which can be seen on one side through the ejection port. Can I safely polish that as well? Should I?
Any advice is appreciated. I don't want to do anything stupid to it and make it look any worse.

For context I'm looking at safes or even building a rack however I love the idea of displaying them.
Obviously there's the threat of a break in but I'd like to pick your brains..

Trijicon ACOG TA50 (3x24), Galil G2 7.62x39, Desert Eagle XIX
I want the Trijicon for my AR, but it’s a budget build (albeit reliable) and I feel weird putting on an optic double the cost of the AR. But maybe I’m overthinking that point.
I was looking at desert eagles and searched if they’re worth it and two things happened that made me wonder if I really want it. First, someone said “for the cost you might as well get the Galil and that’ll be way more bang for your buck”, I hadn’t really considered an AK platform until recently (maybe a week prior to reading this comment) and the Galil seems like an awesome intro to the platform. Secondly, I heard Magnum Research has terrible customer service, and I really hate supporting a company that doesn’t treat their customers like a priority.
So between these 3, which would you prefer? Or what would your priority order be? If you have any wildcards or oddballs that would be fun toss em in!

Hello guys, recently bought and AP5 (MP5 clone), and I’m wanting to add an optic. What should I be looking for, and what is best practical?
-absolute co-witness
-1/3 co-witness
-tall mount
I’m finding the iron sights to be a bit difficult to use. With that being said, practice makes perfect, and I’m definitely planning on mastering over time.
I guess my question is, what are the pros and cons of the 3 options above.
Just trying to learn more,
Thanks

They were half off this weekend, and for around $30 you can’t find much better ragebait for the price 😇
(And to be honest, for the sale price it preforms pretty well. Don’t know that I’d spend the $60 on it, and it gets hot as balls, but for $30 it is truly not a terrible streamlight clone. Wouldn’t trust it with my life or anything, but it turns out the internet was right about it not being entirely hot garbage.)

I want to replace my rear sight on my stiga rifle for an adjustable one from Marble Arm #69w, but I don't know if I should buy the normal or high version.
I talked with a guy from customer support, he said that "the sights are measured from the bottom of the base to the bottom of the notch" and according to the measurements I gave him, I should get the high one. I asked him if the dovetail part was part of the base and he just responded the same thing.
The part that confuses me is that when you follow the instructions to find the heights, it doesn't mention adding or subtracting the dovetail. It just says to take the barrel radius + the sight height which wouldn't take into account the dovetail height. The rear sight on my rifle is dovetailed directly in the barrel, maybe it's not the standard or modern way?
My rear sight, from the top of barrel to the bottom of the notch (so the dovetail is not included) is 0.377", which would be in the range of the normal height sight but the guy said that I need to add the dovetail height so 0.377" + 0.090"= 0.467" which is now in the range of the high sight.
Please help, I'm so confused right now..
