Finally got this thing put together. Had been waiting for a Proof 14.5" PXT barrel and managed to get it sent off to u/unclemoak for the MRP conversion.

Dunno when I'll get to take it out, but she sure is nice to look at.

Anyway, the 108s were the eld-m bullet and the 85s are a sierra OTM

The 85s are a super soft shooter, I think in a bolt gun they’d be amazing.

Velocities were on the lower side, about 100-120 fps less than the factory loads out of the same barrel.

I give him all my factory brass and he runs these at just over $1 a round.

I’m gonna take his 108s to the 1000yd range to see how they do, or if the Hornady 105/108s are better for distance.

Lasering some barrels today. Then some final quality checks before they go out the door.

Been looking at building a 6arc for awhile now but was waiting for it to get more ironed out first and now have started to piece together different builds.

My question is which receiver would be the best to go with? Do I go with a standard ar15 set like BCM upper/aero lower that I originally was planning or is the ICAR better (would probably go with PSA)? Or is there something else that is rec?

I can see the ICAR getting improvements with time but my main annoyance is the magazines currently only come in 1 size and I was planning on building a gun for PRS so the mag would be a hindrance on some stages.

14.5” vs 18” barrels for a gas gun. Target shooting (no further than 1,000 yards) and hunting (between 200-300 yards). Will be suppressed 100% of the time. Will be hand loaded ammo.

I have a ton of hornady 100gr interlock BTSP laying around and thinking about using them for a hog load. I think I can get 2400fps at the muzzle which should keep me over 2000fps out to about 200yds.

Has anyone had experience with this round on hogs? I see it used in 243Win, but not seeing many results in 6ARC and the velo will be quite a bit lower given the cartridge and gas constraints.

Heard through the grapevine some service GFRs have been having bolt issues. I own a 14.5 and reached out to geissele asking how to buy a few replacements to try and future proof myself. Super quick response on their end but was told they don’t offer standalone 6ARC bolt purchases. If I had a warranty concerns they’d be happy to address. What are my options here? Thanks everyone

Just saying hey. Didn’t know there was even a 6 ARC sub. One of my workhorses for your time. I’ve laid down a lot of deer, hogs, and dogs (yotes) with it.

Started as a Super Duty and swapped the barrel out for a Noveske 18in.

This rifle isn’t new. I’ve been running it in different configurations for a few years, 1 of 2 12.5” 6 ARC’s. Just swapped from the Allen Engineering AEM4-6.5 suppressor (which I love) to the OCM6. Just removed the A5 buffer system and started testing the SureFire OBC with Noveske bolt.
Small vid of the first outing in this configuration, 66% IPSC @500yds. I’ve hit doubles suppressed running A5 but I think the reticle return to target improved vs the A5 as noted by impacts on the target. Not knocking A5 I’ve run and loved it for almost 7 years.

Anywho KAC receivers and FF RAS Medium, Centurion 12.5” 6mm ARC barrel.

Muzzle device it comes with is HUXWRX flash hider (5/8x24 thread)

Was told the cat vb6 is better than the cat noah.
Only problem is the AI NANO 5/8x24 replacing the huxwrx would not make overall length 16”
Spooky muzzle with cat noah would prevent all of this confusion.

Also would possibly need to cut the hand guard back due to the vb6 needing to sit 3” over the barrel.

Can someone give me some pointers if they have been through this already?

Considering my first 6 arc. Had initially planned to get a 14.5 super duty, but it’s hard to ignore the benefits of a 6 arc

I am thinking about the SOF 6 arc and curious if anyone has any experience with them? I know the G$ is amazing.

On another note, what suppressor has everyone liked for the 6 Arc?

Fellas, I need the opinion of the masses to help me decide. Do I leave the factory stock on my GFR or do I spring for the B5 CPS? I originally was planning to leave the factory stock on it to keep the weight and length down since it’s a 14.5, but it feels like it might be time. What do yall think?
