I'm a practical firearm owner, not a collector. Not that I don't enjoy shooting - I love it! But I can't afford to collect guns - I only have firearms in the following calibers:
5.56
9mm
12 GA
.22 LR
Each firearm has a purpose. I have an M&P 2.0 and a Beretta PX4 storm DAO that consist of my full sized 9mm pistols.
I don't particularly enjoy the Beretta, being DAO, but when I tried selling it, I was offered $120 from a gun store and decided to keep it. I've considered making it my "car gun" as I have some sneaky spots in my car and replacing it with a Glock/RXM.
Money is a thing in this, and it appears that putting a red dot on a Glock appears to require an entry cost around $800. Vs. the RXM at 600.
With the RXM having the same magazines, what else would I be missing out on by not purchasing a Glock?

I've been looking for magazines for my S&W 1076 and the used prices are $250-400. At what price would it be worthwhile for a manufacturer to reproduce discontinued magazines?

I was making a purchase for my father on gunbroker for my father and accidentally used my Card instead of his and he's supposed to pick the gun up tomorrow. I really don't want this to look like a straw purchase, what can I do?
Edit: got off the phone with the FFL who is also the seller and the situation was a little too close to a straw purchase for their liking. They gave me a full refund minus 50% of their restocking fee. You live and learn I guess.

I've come across FirearmsDirectClub on instagram and found that they have extensively used airpods pro as hearing protection often shooting 50 caliber machine guns and using them as protection. They've done this hundreds of times in different posts often recommending it to their friends. I am quite sure this is unsafe is it not? Apple says on their website "
Are these guys destroying their hearing or am I missing something?

So technically I own a Kel Tech sub 2k but that was primarily something my wife and I said looked cool but I’m interested into a 9mm for myself.
I’m between:
The CX4
The Extar
The Vector(short barrel)
The Saint Victor
The AP5
Wanna see your thoughts on each and the value you get for the price. Leading the pack is the CX4 and the Extar
But I love my 11.5 AR Saint Victor, and the AP5 isn’t the real thing, but it looks sweet.
I’m not interested in getting a different caliber than 9mm. I try to keep everything I run to specific calibers.

Ordered a few times from them, first time getting stickers and they're good ones.

I recently picked up a PSA AK-V and from their website it says it uses the same magazines as the scorpion. I was just curious if anyone knew what these metal strips were for at the top of the magazine, if they’re for durability or they serve another purpose. They’re also quite magnetic.

Buying a new .243 and debating on which scope to put on it. Debating between a 3-9x40 or a 4-12-40. Any recommendations?

Unfortunately the Ruger 10/22 Charger is out of stock everywhere, and I'm really wanting a fun 22lr range toy to be a partner to my Glock 19.
Are the other Ruger 10/22 rifles modifiable enough, where I can change out the stock, add extended magazines, and mod it with similar or the same exact mods that I could with the charger?
The specific rifle I'm looking at is the model #32033 or #32000 (since it comes with a threaded barrel and BX trigger) Ruger 10/22 22LR Semi-Auto Rifle.
Another reason why I'm looking at these rifles instead is cost. Looking to get something for super cheap thats still reliable.

I want to replace my rear sight on my stiga rifle for an adjustable one from Marble Arm #69w, but I don't know if I should buy the normal or high version.
I talked with a guy from customer support, he said that "the sights are measured from the bottom of the base to the bottom of the notch" and according to the measurements I gave him, I should get the high one. I asked him if the dovetail part was part of the base and he just responded the same thing.
The part that confuses me is that when you follow the instructions to find the heights, it doesn't mention adding or subtracting the dovetail. It just says to take the barrel radius + the sight height which wouldn't take into account the dovetail height. The rear sight on my rifle is dovetailed directly in the barrel, maybe it's not the standard or modern way?
My rear sight, from the top of barrel to the bottom of the notch (so the dovetail is not included) is 0.377", which would be in the range of the normal height sight but the guy said that I need to add the dovetail height so 0.377" + 0.090"= 0.467" which is now in the range of the high sight.
Please help, I'm so confused right now..

Hello everyone,
I recently came across what appears to be a Luxembourg-contract FN-49 sniper rifle, serial number 7150, potentially one of the 203 rifles produced for the Luxembourg contract.
The rifle is stamped “7150” and has an “AL” marking on the receiver. I’m currently trying to locate an original OIP 4× sniper scope that would be correct for this rifle. Ideally, I’d love to find the original scope that was issued with it, if it’s possible to trace it.
If anyone has information about this particular rifle, knows where I might find an original Luxembourg-marked OIP scope, or has leads on a scope and the correct ECHO mount, I’d greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance!

Looking to see if anybody in this sub has done any home porting on a handgun slide and barrel. It seems like it’s pretty simple, you just need holes that line up in theory. But I’m too chicken shit to try out without at least some anecdotal evidence that you can just drill and de-burr and not blow your pistol apart 😂

Hello guys, recently bought and AP5 (MP5 clone), and I’m wanting to add an optic. What should I be looking for, and what is best practical?
-absolute co-witness
-1/3 co-witness
-tall mount
I’m finding the iron sights to be a bit difficult to use. With that being said, practice makes perfect, and I’m definitely planning on mastering over time.
I guess my question is, what are the pros and cons of the 3 options above.
Just trying to learn more,
Thanks
