I (20F) have had a really shitty experience with a college project and a friend, and I honestly just need someone to talk to about it.

It's a long story involving a group project, misunderstandings, and things said by someone I considered my best friend. I'm hurt, frustrated, and honestly questioning whether I'm being unreasonable about the whole thing.

I'm not looking for people to blindly take my side or tell me I'm right about everything. I just need a friend who'll listen to me rant, let me get everything off my chest, and maybe help me make sense of it all.

I love anime: JJK, Death Note, NANA, KNY, Apothecary Diaries, Tokyo Ghoul, Kotaro Lives Alone.... - but i am about to start watching AOT, Blue lock, Kamisama Kiss, Ouran High School Host Club, and more (would love recommendations!). I love Suguru Geto (jjk), and since it was one of the first anime I watched during COVID, it has a special place in my heart. I collect figures, love to do art (painting, drawing, anything hands-on), cook and bake. I have been getting into reading lately- mostly Kafka, Dostoevsky, Dazai, Shakespeare, and Camus- and I'm also a big music girly: The smiths, Radiohead, Morrissey, Mitski, Lana, ye, Alex G, and so on. I play Roblox whenever i can, so if anyone wants a friend to play horror games or just something silly, i would love that! I get along with all kinds of people, so if anything here interests you, it never hurts to say hi! I also make edits during my free time (most anime and some of my favourite artists), but yeah! Hello, to whoever is reading this right now!

I’m currently in a position of social isolation, and it’s slowly driving me insane. While I do enjoy this “alone time” but everything has its limits, right? But even when I finally get the chance to meet and talk with people, I still feel very empty inside. Despite being very social and friendly with many people I see regularly, I’ve never truly felt satisfied. I simply feel like I haven’t met people who truly fulfill me and anyone who makes me feel like I matter.

I just haven’t found anyone I can fully express myself to or show my true side to. I’m getting tired of maintaining this almost stoic mindset throughout my days. Other than that, isn’t it exciting to be able to meet people from all over the world? I know this place can be quite difficult to find anyone in, but I guess it’s a journey to truly find the right people you can connect with. Nonetheless, I find talking to people online an interesting experience. We all come from different places and backgrounds, which always makes me eager to ask: "How is life for you over there?" Beyond a simple conversations, finding something meaningful unexpectedly here is something I'm always open to. Life is a journey full of choices, and I believe it's wise to walk this path with the people who truly matter.

To start with myself... I honestly don’t know where to begin. I certainly have a rich personality, but how would I really define myself? Well, right now I’m feeling different from what I’m generally used to. I’m usually social, confident, and full of energy. However, let’s just say I keep running into the same wall that I can’t seem to break through. I’m just so tired and frustrated lately for reasons that are exhausting both my mind and body.

I’m not doing that great at the moment. All I do right now is study. Is this really how life should look? I’d rather go fight battles and live on the edge of life, not for the glory of kings or politicians, but for my own glory. I feel like my potential is being wasted right now, but that’s fine. It’s only a matter of time before all of this passes...

So... who am I? I’m based in the EU, more specifically my timezone is GMT-1. I’m certainly intelligent for my age, I’m only 22 and I'm christian. I read a lot, I love history, and I hate politics, it makes me depressed although it’s still an important part of me somehow. I work out, which makes me happy because I managed to abandon my old self, the one that was weak and anxious. I love video games and play them every day, among other things.

I consider myself a very honest and maybe even a sweet person, someone with a big heart. But that's just my perception of myself, it's up to you to judge. Despite my young age, I have quite a few stories to share. Life hasn't always treated me well, but I'm doing my best to move forward and overcome every obstacle I face in this unpredictable world

It's beautiful and exhausting. I have more time and a lot of feelings to sit with. I love bouldering, reading, and making bad pottery. Want a friend for the ordinary in-between moments, not just the milestones.

So relationships has been always made my life worst for some reason yet I still find myself trying find "the one" in EVERYONE I meet. I am in a journey to be satisfied with myself and completely stop finding the "potential partner" in people.
I have AuDHD with a PDA profile which basically means I crave my autonomy like oxygen. And relationships are all about sacrifices. Sacrificing your schedule, your goals, your hobbies, your time, your sanity. During every relationship, my life just gets more and more volatile, no matter how the other person it.
Subconsciously in my head I always believe I have to perform for them and they don't like me. No amount of positive self talk works. And because of how I am, it's hard for other humans to handle me. But I always find whenever I am by myself, my life becomes super functional. Until that urge for "human connection" comes around. It's all fun in games but than my anxious attachment self doesn't allow me to have anyone who can't stay with me long term because in my head, why should I waste time on a short term fling.
Now the issue isn't "help me fix myself so I can enjoy normal humans relationships"
I am neurodivergent/ high masking autistic. I do the best when I am left alone. Also I am 22 right now, 1 really wanna focus on my personal life rather than find relationships. Again due to my profile, I don't have any friends either. I do have a lot of hobbies and projects that I look towards. But I always have this urge "I need to show my work to someone to make it worth it".
I hate it. I just hate that I subconsciously look for someone for validation. Thats the only reason I want anyone at all. For validation. I am so happy on my own functionally. So this post is basically what do you do?
All my life I have been told to consider others, to see the potential in others. I don't wanna do that anymore.
