With the new pretend "mixed mark" theyre doing, why are the only kneepads theyve used are the normal ones and the all one piece pretend mk6 ones? The Blood Claws came out and they had "mk7" style kneepads with no shin gaurd and it looks great so why would this not also be an option included for the new intercessors or any model since Armageddon?

By the Emperor! While attaching holy purity seals to Brother Vak‘uns pyreblaster a heretical drop of the super glue variety seemed to find its way right onto the tip of the mighty weapon. The warp must have lead it to the wrong place to clog the Marines trusty tool.
Immediate CHAOS ensued since it buried all the fine detail under a smooth layer of the glue. I did what any brave chapter serf would do in such a situation: panic!
I rushed to the sink, trying to get off this foul saliva of nurgle and gave it a volley with the aquablaster!
Now this is the result. Brother Vak‘uns loved flamethrower is ruined! RUINED I say!
I was trying to reach Ad Mech customer hotline all day but they say Salamanders homecrafted weapons are not covered by their insurance.
I need your help!

I’m REALLY happy with how he came out! It’s been a while since I’ve used wiring for an electrical effect, so let me know how I did!

As GW never seem to ever be making space hulk again, and I don't have a copy, I've been thinking about trying to make a home made version, using primaris intercessor style marines in tactics armour rather than terminators (for a few reasons, but one being the 32mm bases will work better with Space Hulk tiles, the squares of which are 30x30mm).

I've been trying to find ways to proxy the original models in a logical way. I have an infernus marine for the heavy flamer proxy, but I think a deathwatch kill team might be the way forward to proxy the assualt cannon (heavy bolter), dual lightning claws (dual blades of the headtaker), a sergeant with a sword and bolt pistol.

I noticed though that the Marine with the heavy bolter is on a 40mm base due to being in Gravis. Does anyone know if he might be able to fit on a 32mm base, or if this would look ridiculous?

Not sure what to do about the librarian yet, so if anyone had a suggestion about that too please let me know.

Hi everyone. I got the old captain with relic shield as I believe he is an absolute baller and might be replaced by the new guy. I wanted to ask about his left shoulder pauldron. In the pic (with ultramarine decal). On the spruce these guys are connected as one piece. But I wanted to change it for bits that can be found in grey tide studios store. Has anyone actually ever done this before? Does anyone have pics as to how they turned out? Does anyone have any kitbashing or cutting advice? I am also looking to add a cape but I don’t think that would require any cutting.

I’ve been gifted these 7 models by a friend to start things off but I haven’t a clue what they are. Can anyone help shed some light for me?

So far my approach had been

Get a vague idea of a list

Choose at doctrine detachment

Choose an armor detachment for my most prominent infantry

Then the last one tends to either be support my armor (tanks or dreds, or transports) or if I don't have much a secondary infantry)

Then refund from there

Main list has been a assault Phobos shadowforce list with either deepstriking Gravis (interceptors and an eradicators thanks to calgar) or terminator

But I'm curious about others, are any of all like forgoing a doctrine detachment, or going all in on one idea like deviator, transports and gravis to shove big beefy guns in your enemies face

Probably could’ve weathered the upper front plate a bit more but I’m quite happy with it

With the change in abilities for Company Heroes and Intercessors, I'm looking at options to field some Heroes in my lists, but preferably without splashing for the kit.

I already own an Ancient or two, and I have the Champion sculpt that was included in the Combat Patrol magazine run - but what options are there for the Veterans with Bolter and Heavy Bolter respectively? I know I could look on swap sites for those parts of the kit, but given two of my models are going to be a bit different from standard I am thinking it might be fun to have the whole squad be alternative sculpts to give them a bit of flavour.
