Mod Wicked and the Warped Spoiler Policy Spoiler
Hey ya'll - there's a new Necron book either in people's hands, or on the way there. This is just a friendly reminder about spoilers. Obviously, no one likes to have a story spoiled, and we all have different levels of access to the novels as well as varying amounts of free time to read them in.
Policy around spoilers will be fairly standard - keep them out of thread titles. Threads discussing spoilers must maintain this rule, and must contain a warning somewhere in the title to prevent accidental clicks. Individual posts in threads that are not explicitly marked as spoiler threads should make use of the spoiler text feature - threads that are marked in the title as spoilers are fair game to discuss freely.
This policy will remain in place for the next SIX MONTHS, at which point we will return to a more case-by-case evaluation. There will be a ZERO TOLERANCE policy in place, with a six month subreddit ban for violations, under our rule about treating other redditors with respect.

BEHOLD, MY STUFF Just pulled the trigger in one of these bad boys. Any tips for building your first Seraptek Heavy Construct for someone with some experience with resin, but never such a large model?
This was practically the last model I was missing. I am crossing my fingers I can get to play it before it gets removed, but worries aside, does anyone have specific recommendations on building it?
I see that many titans recommend using two part epoxy as glue and how pinning is a must, but do we have any specific recommendation from people who have built this?
Maybe on which epoxy to use, what to pin (I'm guessing the legs), or recommendations for sub assemblies?
Do you really just leave this big boi without a base, or would it be worth it to get a big one?

BEHOLD, MY STUFF My most recent models
So the squad is the most recent one and the model with the most images is my most recent, I’m really proud of them but I want to get better at painting especially after seeing the amazing models on this subreddit. Do you guys have tips, advice?

Rules Question Rules question (image slightly related)
When a unit with a leader and a support (lets say an Overlord and Orikan) loses the bodyguard do they become separate units or do they stay as one unit? If they stay together would the overlord or Orikan receive attacks first and what would happen once the bodyguard reanimates if they break up?

Meme/Artwork/Image Not all survived the Great Sleep with their minds intact, but when you have someone who loves you by your side, even madness can have its peaceful moments
On the Tombworld of Nasir, a once great Dynasty lays in decay and ruin, though not all is lost to time. The great works on the Necrontyr and later Necrons stand strong even through the ravages of time, though the same cannot be said for the minds behind these triumphs. The great Lord Amanamun, whose power and influence ruled over swaths of the Dynasty is a shell of the man he once was, prone to times of madness and forgetfulness, he reflects the world he once ruled, greatest taken over by time. Eternally by his side, the love of his once life and now undeath, Parethis the Plasmancer stays by her loves side, using the power of his Heka to work on rebuilding their Tombworld from the passage of time and find a method to restore her love back to his previous glory. Undeterred by what their once scandalous relations would've caused had the court learned of their union, Parethis commands the armies of the dynasty against all would-be intruders while Amanamun battles at the front, his lost mind no determent to his ability to wage war.
A piece of my old metal Necron Lord from 3rd edition and my plasmancer that I played in a Crusade and expanded their story from the battles I fought. Drawn by the extraordinarily talented https://www.tumblr.com/aethira or u/Volucris-Liga

Misc/media After Trazyn, Destroyers and Deciever, what needs updating?
I cannot wait for our 3 big C'tan to all be current.
Destroyers desperately need an update
After this, Transdendent? Tesseract Vault?
I personally think LychGuard and Immortals need updates too. Their design is different to newcrons, they still have that jank where GW hadn't quite figured out Necrons faces etc

Misc/media Stompa vs Monolith. Two Titanics on the battlefield! Orks v Necrons | Warhammer 40k in 40m
I try my luck with the Obesience Phalanx against the new Orks - can the Necrons hold the line?

Photos of kitbashed Overlords wanted for inspiration!
I've collected a fair pile of spare parts and have enough (I think) to make a passable Overlord. I have an Overlord head, various torsos, several arms and legs, staffs etc. All that's "missing" is the more decorative elements of a true overlord torso, the trim and "dangly bits" etc. How have you all tackled this particular task?

"Four Horsemen" list
Looking for some input on the below list. I have been on a mission to make the most competitive possible list for every disposition and this list would be for Disruption.
I call it the Four Horsemen because it will be Night Bringer, Void Dragon, Deceiver, and tesseract Vault as the bulk of my force.
I would take Pantheon of Woe and Phaerons Armoury (for the buffs to the vault).
With the hexmark for my warlord, and the four horsemen themselves I am left with 300 points. I mainly am struggling to make the most out of those points as I know they will likely end up being the bulk of my actual scoring pieces into most matchups.
The other idea I had was to axe one unit if flayed ones and slot in 2 lone LHDs with gauss just to give myself one more unit to score with, but im concerned the 4 wound body won't stack up as nicely as 10 flayed ones.
Thoughts my fellow Phaerons?

News/Rumors/Lore Are there any examples of necrons keeping organic vassals/tributaries?
I know it's a fairly popular concept in the fandom (one that I admittedly quite like), but have there been any such cases in the official lore?

BEHOLD, MY STUFF Apothecary Dreadnought / Heretek Reanimator
“To save my brothers is my honor bound duty”
My Reanimator for my Heretek army! This is probably gonna be the last Space Marine character I use for that army since it’s meant to more be Admech supplemented by Lamenters by Elite Units like Lychguard.
I’m REALLY happy with how he came out! It’s been a while since I’ve used wiring for an electrical effect, so let me know how I did!
Is there any way I should do better next time? C+C is always welcome!

Necron Destroyer Cult Dice
I recently purchased some dice from FB market place. I was told they were the new destroyer cult version so I was happy to pay a little more as I wanted them to add to my existing destroyer cult set.
The dice arrived but are completely black and have a much more yellow infill. You can see the suspected fake on the left vs my shop bought ones on the right.
Do you think these dice are fake or could the GW quality control just be pretty bad?

BEHOLD, MY STUFF Problems creating a custom dynasty.
So I decided that my Necron army is going to be the first "My Guys" army that only takes units that I think look cool and develop my own lore for the dynasty.
The problem is that lore wise, I love the Phaeron and Dynasty stuff. I love the dramatic bickering and politics of a dynasty, and created my lore around my dynasty being "adventurers" "acquiring" other races tech to see if they can find a solution to the "can't make new necrons" problem. I really like this idea and it sounds super fun.... but....
I really like the Destroyer models on the tabletop. They look so damn cool and play so well that I want my army to be destroyer focused. Cursed legion, Destroyer lords, Destroyers everywhere.
But it feels really weird to have my noble Overlord put on a Destroyer Ankh while still being pretty "sane" by Necron standards.
Should I just pivot the lore to being a Destroyer cult instead? The models are cool, but I feel like lore wise Destroyers are pretty one note, "kill everything," so I'm less interested in that is my only issue.
Any ideas fellow Phaerons?

List Help/Sharing Am I an asshole?
Hello, fellow spooky skeletons!
After a few quiet months, I'm finally getting back into 40k!
I'll be jumping back in with a small 1,000-point game against an Astra Militarum player. He's pretty much fine with facing anything, as long as the game stays fun.
I'd really like to bring my freshly painted Nightbringer in a Cursed Legion list (see screenshots).
Do you think this list would be fun both to play and to play against?
I really don't want to become known at my local club as "that asshole who brings a C'tan to a 1,000-point game." 😂

Painting C+C The Maintenance crew got stuck outside...
Finally finished my overgrown Canoptek Circle and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! First time painting models like this and I never wanna do it again 😂 glueing the moss was the most frustrating thing I've ever done!

Misc/media What are the chance of the seraptek being moved to Legend?
I just printed one, but i Heard some stuff (Along with the amount of marine units being send to legend with their codex) has started to make me worry that the seraptek might get the boot.

Nekrosor Ammentar personality
I've tried to find if there is any dialogue of them or something else which could be helpful, but sadly I wasn't successful. Just wondering if there is more to them than simply the "I must kill everything" shtick. Thanks :)
