Finally finished all my characters, thinking about kitbash a Gravis Captain recently, got some ideas now, but open to any suggestions!

I'll start with the obvious one. Spoilers to Wrath of Iron, if somebody on this sub hasn't read it yet for whatever reason.

Which of our two epic character is your favorite?

Guardians of the Abyss chapter symbols - assorted colours. Anybody have a better suggestion for marble?

Description in WD#515 mentions "...with addition of a skull transfer in the middle". This is my first guess at what that means. I guess this could be a SGT or Command variant.

Really interesting heraldry. Lots that could be done with it (wreath, diamonds overhead, shield overlays).

Star Dragons are a suspected IH successor. But they may actually be White Scars successors (they conduct ritual scarring). Or Salamanders if you want to be lazy, because "dragon".

Heyo all!! Painting up a lil Praevian for my iron warriors heresy force and in the process before adding the brass to the trim trim and hazard stripes he looked very iron hands so I wanted to share him here!

Black is amongst my favourite colours to paint and whilst I don’t have any iron hands forces, this gave me a greater appreciation of their colour pallette! The coldness of the black and silver being punctuated by the dots of warmth with visible skin and the dots of colour from lenses make for great points of focus

Flesh is weak

Anybody know a good site or shop to find prints that could help make 40k termies more like the gorgon termies? I'd like to have a more iron hands esthetic, but I'm having a hard time finding anything. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Spent all day putting together my Ferrus Manus model I've had on the back burner for a long time, was really happy with how the face was turning out until I got too hasty using an oil wash and accidentally stripped the layers of paint down to the resin...

Lesson learned. Hopefully I get lucky with the eyes a second time.

I decided to paint some iron hands only using speed paints from the Army painter and the results are surprising.

I'm mostly into collecting minis rather than actual tabletop, but i want to slowly get myself a functional army by slowly adding the minis i like into my collection. So i'm trying to not buy stuff that i won't be able to eventually use on the tabletop. I like this model quite a lot, but not sure if it has a place in the Iron Hands army.

With Iron Hands being traditionally inclined towards Dreadnoughts and now Termies, i'm not sure if Gravis leader is viable, especially considering we have Feirros and Var.

I'd probably get him eventually anyway but now i want to focus more on things that are useful in an army than simply good looking.

So, if i get my hands on this model, would i be able to field it without sacrificing much? Do you guys use him?
