MD Politics Hutzell: Andy Harris the bully shows up at the end of his Maryland campaign
Andy Harris' behavior inside a small community center might be Maryland’s most telling political moment this year, potentially pushing the forecast blue wave high enough to cause an upset for Dan Schwartz.

Just an interesting fact I discovered. No hurricane has ever made landfall in Maryland
Along with Virginia and Delaware. This has been posted on other subreddits before but didn’t see it posted here and thought I’d share. We’ve obviously been hit with hurricanes before and tropical storms have made landfall here but no hurricanes.

MD Politics Washington county circuit court Judge Joseph Michael charged with DUI.
Rumors spread online a few days ago that Judge Joe Michael had been charged with DUI. The case is presently listed in case search as of today. It may get shielded eventually.
It’s an interesting situation but not one without precedent. Daniel Boone, some 15 or so years ago, was blowing every day before taking the bench after his DUI. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Being prosecuted by the same office and same officers that appear before the judge most days will create a potential appearance of a conflict the State could try to use to get him recused if he isn’t suspended by the judicial disability commission in the interim.

Righting a wrong I committed at Trucker's Inn
This has been bothering me for over 40 years and I'd like to make it right. This happened in the early to mid 1980s. I'm a truck driver that stopped at the Truckers Inn (now TA Travel Center)often during that time frame. After a meal there I was paying my check and the cashier gave me back the $20 bill I was paying with in addition to my change. I instantly realized what she did and instead of pointing it out to her I stuffed the bills in my pocket quickly before she could see what had happened. To make matters worse she was very pregnant at the time. I do not have a sob story about how much I needed that $20, I was working and doing ok. My thinking was it wasn't going to come out of her pocket but some corporation. I know that sometimes employers make a cashiers pay for their mistakes. I just feel guilty about this and want to make it right.
I stopped there often after that and thought about it with regret every time but never made it right. I think I was too embarrassed to tell her afterwards. She must've worked there at least 10 years both as a cashier and waitress. I saw her quite a few times after. She would probably be into her 70s now. If anybody knows this woman would you please show this post to her and have her message me.
Thank you

MD News BREW: A disgruntled boss filed theft charges against her. When she went to court, ICE arrested her.
On Sept. 29, a 25-year-old woman named Nayeli went to court to address a theft charge. When she got there, four plainclothes ICE officers arrested her before her hearing. The charges weren't filed by the police, but by her disgruntled ex-boss. Maryland allows any member of the public to file criminal charges, a process that has been widely criticized as easy to abuse. The charges were over a $12.08 charge on a company credit card.
Nayeli remains in ICE detention.
