Hi all - I have a townhome very close to the UMBC Arbutus campus that I'm looking to make available for rentals, ideally to students. I am looking to gather a bit of information on what students value the most when looking for housing.

• Do you generally prefer furnished or unfurnished, or somewhere in between?
• Do you prefer wifi to be included (and cable?) or would you rather get your own for cheaper if you can?
• In general, is it more useful if it works like a dorm, in which you only need to bring your clothes and food and the rest is ready to live in, or do people prefer a completely blank slate where they bring all their own furniture, wifi, etc?

The home is 1/4 mile from a Paradise bus line stop and a large shopping center, so I think from that standpoint students will find it appealing. It's a home where I've lived for a few years now and I care for deeply, and I'm not too far removed from my college days, so I feel I'm in a good position where I understand both the home and the renters very well and I'm motivated to find a good fit.

I have done a bit of research and understand there's a student leasing website where local lessors can post their housing, and I feel quite confident that this home will be appealing to students at the Arbutus campus in particular.

Myumbc and blackboard haven't been working for me for about the past hour. I'm just wondering if this is on my end or if anyone else is having this issue.

Trying to find the schedule and topics taught.

Has anyone taken this class during the winter session? If so, how were the exams, and what was the format of the class? Also, how was the professor? Was the class manageable in a short winter session?

UMBC has a lot of recruitment sessions and internship/career events coming up, and I am unsure of what the dress code is supposed to be. I understand it obviously isn't sweatpants and things like that, but are regular jeans fine? From what I am seeing these events take place during regular school hours so I am unsure if wearing formal/business clothes is expected or not. I would also like to hear more about what these events are like in general and if you guys recommend them or not. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hey does anyone know how to check if there gonna send someone to do the fixit. I submitted a ticket cause my desk drawer is jammed and I can't use my desk cause it's half open.

I got an email about my ticket and at the bottom it said ready but the website doesn't really show much on if there gonna send someone down today or tomorrow or the next day.

I know I it's the weekend and I submitted it late in the day but I'd like to know if there's any indications someone's coming so I'm not caught off guard or not at the dorm

I was wondering if doing a minor and a upper level certificates would take me extra time. Im planning on taking 12 credits a semester and have about 30 credits from cc right now.

Im honestly OK with graduating "late" but I was just curious.

From my understanding the business analytics certificate fits into the 120 credit requirement for info sys and the stats minor is about 24 credits i think.

Id appreciate any info.
