My LUG has a monthly build challenge and for July we had to make a 32x32 micro castle. Hope you enjoy the build! Checkout my instagram if you'd like to see more of my builds!

After over 8 months, our USS Iowa is complete. It was a long and arduous process, but we're very happy with the result. It weighs 331.5 pounds, and consists of about 100,000 pieces. We shared the build process on our Instagram (kuad_lego_shipyard). We will hopefully be taking it to Brickcon in Bellevue later this year. We have a couple more large projects in the pipeline, so drop us a follow and keep an eye out!

We don't have much, so we used what we have on hands (mainly old pieces from my childhood). The color choices mainly depended on the color we had available for some shapes.
Anyone remembers those giant flying saucer pieces? Set 6975 from 1997. Or the white curved arches from 6559 Deep Sea Bounty.
The pictures don't show them, but we have technic spring-loaded retractable landing gear.
EDIT: Whow I certainly didn't anticipate such a response from the community! Thank you all for your kind words, your comments, and your upvotes. That means a lot <3
EDIT2: Many of you commented on the toilet. I want to give credit where it's due. We borrowed the idea from this great set modification by u/Django117: https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/5klqou/i_got_the_millenium_falcon_75105_set_and_modified/

Our aunt and uncle hosted a family reunion a couple summers ago at their house in Maine. It's a farmhouse that's been in the family for many years and was celebrating its 225th birthday. To mark the occasion, my brother and I spent a year designing and building a LEGO model of the house, both interior and exterior. It contains around 17,000 pieces, and the roof and walls can be removed to reveal what's inside.
It was an incredibly fun but challenging projectâfurther complicated by the fact that we live on opposite coasts. We traded the design file back and forth a few times, and he flew out to my neck of the woods for a long weekend of building. While I worked on the finishing touches leading up the reunion, he designed, assembled, and shipped the lighting solution to me for installation.
My wife and I transported the finished model to Maine via a somewhat stressful roadtrip. When we finally unwrapped and delivered the surprise, only one piece had come loose. Our family really enjoyed the model, which now lives in the house (as reflected by the micro version we included).
Natural shapes of silt strider intimidated me as Lego builder for a while but after I saw 31166 on a shelf I knew what needs to be done.

70cm tall, roughly 4500 bricks (I lost count). Planning to make instructions but please don't hold your breath.

Sometimes inspiration strikes, this took me about 3 weeks with a few bricklink orders for the older shutter styled windows. Seeing the last picture in a Google search, I wanted the challenge of recreating the angular semi round features of the buildings and stairways. Overall I am happy with the results.

Been seeing a lot more Generative AI in creative spaces lately, so I decided to build something with my hands to reject it. Introducing The Thief, The Displacer, The Polluter, and The Slop Machine.
This minifig series features just a few reasons (among so many others) to not use AI. Anything you build or create with your hands is infinitely better than whatever slop a data center will churn out.

My 13 year old is always making up creative and realistic things from the spare parts bin. Better watch your speed Lego drivers!

Veinhart Soul Engine and Swarm Core and more builds will be on display at Brick Cities in Westland MI, next weekend. I know some people are annoyed of seeing this, but this will be the last time I post it here. Just wanted to show off the results.
Music: Crown Magnetar - Godkiller
Update, this will be at the Great Train Show, at the Oakland Expo Center the 24th and 25th.
Just finished this for the Civilisation Museum of QuĂŠbec
Little update: For everybody asking for it, I did not plan on making instructions for this Moc and I tried putting it on Lego Ideas, but H.P.Lovecraft is not approved by Lego.

It's the time of the year to make spooky things, so I present my tarantula đˇď¸ PAB had the brown bush pieces and I knew just what I wanted to do with them! All 8 legs are poseable and I show the detail of how they're connected in the photos.
Thank you for taking a look! Would this creep you out to find randomly?
Edit: Link to instructions here

Apologies if this doesnât have the right flair!
Just wanted to share something Iâve been working on for the last few months!
As a massive Halo fan I wanted to build something truly unique, and I think I managed pretty well without any instructions.
For anyone wanting to try their hand, itâs composed of a couple different sections:
An egg shaped support ring made out of technic. This was the first thing I did and challenged myself to get it done without buying any new parts. Egg shaped so the weight of the inner and outer detail parts would force everything down into a circle.
A baseplate mount that could support the ring and hold it up in case it gets bumped.
The inner detail which is one long piece flexible enough to connect to itself in a circle.
About 50 identical segments that connect to the inner detail section. This leaves the technic ring floating within making sure it all doesnât lean too far forward or backwards
Unfortunately this was done with a lot of trial and error so I donât have instructions to offer, just the general guide above

My LUG had a challenge recently and the theme was "Plants", so I stretched the rules and did my typical 1:1 scale food and made it fit the category. I was already working on the half lemon for my lemon pepper wings, so I decided to make a full sized one as well. At our May meeting it got selected for display at the store!
I wasn't happy with the 6x6 round options in yellow, so I came up with my own technique to smooth out the sides by adding 1x1 round tiles and plates to a 1x2 rail and wedging it into the antistuds on the curved slopes so the rail sits at about 45°
The white slits on the cut lemon are just vinyl decal I cut - I originally tried to do the trans yellow dish on top of the orange slice dish from the wreath set, which looked great in studio, but not in person, so I pivoted.
Hoping I made Master Builder Alec proud - it's definitely not a pineapple.
