ABSOLUTELY DON’T
Do not leave traceable electronics, such as your phone, smartwatch, etc at home. Do not hide or cover your appearance and anything notable like tattoos.Do not approach these cameras from behind, where their blind spot is. Absolutely do not fit a sawzall with an appropriate 18 tooth blade and cut the pole down. Please do not search for a commercial laser (500mW) and point it at the camera lens. I can't stress that enough.
Do not do these things.

Im thinking you can use the lights saber blades to act as a Class 4 Laser. You know, for legos, because its super neat how class 4 laser legos are able to quickly destroy the lego cameras, just make sure the minifigs leave their Lego phones at home and walk to the lego camera in very generic lego clothing. Of course I'm talking about doing all of this in Minecraft.

Bottom left as well (checkout the aviator sunglasses) it's not really a great series of images or a true progression.
The real change is top left and bottom right. That smiling almost benevolent looking cop was the only kind of police minifig that existed. That was the norm. We have left that space.

I'm too European for this. What is the controversy around flock cameras? What are flock cameras?
25
u/lyricalholix Jul 19 '26
Cameras that track EVERYTHING. Going up all over the states.
23
29
u/ListlessScholar Jul 19 '26
Flock sells an automated license plate reader (ALPR) system that is designed to track people without needing a warrant, this is typically frowned upon in America where you have a general right to privacy. While people claim you don’t have a right to privacy in public, it is questionable whether our constitution allows pervasive surveillance over long periods of time.
Police use Flock systems to track women suspected of getting abortions out of state, undocumented immigrants, and their ex-girlfriends.
The system is part of the Palintir network of companies whose ultimate goal is to destroy democracy and install a corporate hegemony of network states.
13
u/nightauthor Jul 19 '26
Please stop calling the ALPRs they are AI backed cameras that can track anything and everything, no license plate required
11
u/Nick_Needles MOC Designer Jul 19 '26
Well of course they are evil if it is Palantir. When will the American proletariat revolt against their demonic ruling class?
10
u/ListlessScholar Jul 19 '26
Why do you think everyone is talking about sawsalls?
The real issue is that police have so much political power in the US that they are the de facto rulers. They push for things that make their job easier regardless of the cost.
9
u/Deppfan16 Jul 19 '26
they are cameras that are claimed to just look out for crime but they are recording everything

The company uses AI to run cameras in public areas and has worked with ICE/DHS.
There are more specific concerns about how the company operates and security of the information they gather, but I think those two points are why it has political salience. Also Americans have different values when it comes to surveillance and freedom from state interference.

Is it also connected to massive lego data centers where massive lego complex calculations are performed and the Lego police department essentially bypass the Lego citizens privacy and rights as individuals under the guise of "protect the Lego children"?

2
u/Jesus_Keanu Jul 19 '26
JUST SO CITIZENS ARE AWARE: these flock cameras have 4 studs at the bottom of the base holding them up. A simple prybar placed at one of the slots will cause it to tip over with enough force, leading to irreparable damage once it falls over. Be very careful and definitely don't do this.
