Why is she fuzzy, what does this imply about fairy anatomy, is she just a floating bioluminescent ball of flesh with wings now. Why

What should my first Zelda game be?
I’ve never played a Zelda game before and I would love to hear which game you think my first taste should be. My goal is to just gain more ball knowledge so I can participate in convos with my peers if this series came up.
If you could recommend just one Zelda game to someone who’s never played the series, which would you pick? It could be your personal favorite, the best starting point for a newcomer, or simply the game you think I should experience first. Feel free to explain why.
I’m going to use everyone’s recommendations to help decide where to start, I like putting things into a wheel spin where each persons selection is given a chance, I will give more weight to answers more well received and commonly said though.
Thank you for helping me start my journey into this series!

I was searching for the vortex at the level above (before the third donjon) when I died and respawned at Impa’s. Ricky is gone training, and I only have winter.
Is there a way for me to continue or should I restart? I’m playing on the switch emulator, but totally forgot to save…
(Ok so the answer is I’m dumb, but I don’t have to restart!)

In the original OOT, MM and Windwaker you didn't automatically shield when targeting an enemy and had to hold R. You couldn't attack when holding the shield and had let go of R to attack, leaving you vunerable to enemy attacks.
Of course you could just keep shielding and just let go of the button when attacking to achieve the same effect as the newer Zelda games.
But personally, constantly shielding by holding both ZL and ZR was kinda uncomfortable for your index fingers, which in turn led to you being more vunerable because you didn't just guard the whole fight and only shielded when actually needing to. Putting a bit of thought into when to guard and when not to.
But now, with the newer Zelda games Link automatically holds up his shield. Which in turn makes the game protect you automatically. Especially in Twilight Princess. Nothing really hurts Link if you're just guarding. Only select few attacks break through your guard. BOTW/TOTK do the same, but at least there your shield isn't invincible.
All and all. It isn't a big deal. It's just two actions merged into one. But instead of the game automatically guarding you, I'd much rather guard myself. It takes away a bit of feedback you know?

Just a small list of things that would be awesome to have but I feel won't be in the game or has no good chance of being included. Since the game seems to be going for more true to the original than divergent (with some exceptions):

So the Ocarina of Time remake is almost here, and it's set up to be the most successful game of the year, and a possible candidate to be Game of the Year at the Game Awards, and GTA fans and Zelda fans are gonna be at war for who gets GOTY this year, and I guarantee you that Majora's Mask is probably gonna get a remake down the road, that got me thinking about sequels, now Sequels to various generations is not new to the Zelda Storyline, the Hero of Legend, the Hero of Hyrule, the Hero of Time, the Hero of Winds, and the Hylian Champion got their own sequels, in the form of the Oracle Games and Link's Awakening, as sequels to A Link to the Past, obviously Majora's Mask is the sequel to Ocarina of Time, there is Zelda 2 as well, and Wind Waker 2 was supposed to be in development, but since the artstyle got backlash, they decided to make Twilight Princess, and eventually Wind Waker 2 became Phantom Hourglass on the DS.
And of course we got a Sequel to Breath of the Wild, which is Tears of the Kingdom, but the other generations never really got sequels, that got me thinking of what games can potentially have sequels to their respective generations.
Four Swords Trilogy
The Four Swords Trilogy is the least likely to get a sequel to any of the 3 games, Minish Cap, Four Swords, and Four Swords Adventures already have established lore about the Four Sword, Vaati's story, and apparently Capcom was partnering with Nintendo at the time, except Capcom didn't develop Four Swords Adventures.
Other Downfall Games
I'd say A Link Between Worlds arguably got a sequel in the form of Triforce Heroes, but I don't know if it ties to the lore of Zelda in some way, it was an entirely different story in a different country, with a different Princess to save, and one of the worst villains to defeat in the form of Lady Maud, AKA The Lady.
As for Echoes of Wisdom, I don't really think that a Sequel may be possible, Echoes of Wisdom concluded just fine, maybe a prequel on Link's Adventure starts the events of Echoes of Wisdom, but it's ultimately up to Grezzo if they want to make that happen or not.
Twilight Princess
This one would be cool to get a sequel, or a prequel but it would be rather complicated to do, it happened because of the backlash against Wind Waker, but honestly with Twilight Princess, it gave us a proper conclusion, but there is a huge complaint I have about the story of the game, it was less about the underlying conflict in Hyrule, and more about Midna and Zant's war against each other, there was no explanation about why the Gerudo disappeared, there wasn't an explanation on how the Zora stayed the same as they did in Ocarina of Time, there was not much that was revealed about the Twili Invasion, or the Culture and Religion of the Twili, and Ganondorf was just there for OoT fanservice.
Maybe a Prequel is possible, but it would be just another Ocarina of Time sequel, if it were to get the Sequel Treatment, then I'd probably go for the Parallel World approach where either Link finds a way into the Twilight Realm, and find out it is in trouble again, but that happening is probably gonna be difficult since the Mirror of Twilight is destroyed and the gate between the Twilight Realm and Hyrule is destroyed, maybe Link would probably go to find the Triforce of Power after killing Ganondorf, and bring it to Hyrule Castle so that Zelda and Him can broker peace between the Twili and Hyrule.
Or alternatively Link could go back in time to learn about the Twili Invasion, and possibly broker peace between the Hylians and the Twili on his own terms, but here comes the thing I dreaded talking about, apparently it's gonna start the Shipping War with MidLink, ZeLink, and ILink fans, because it could possibly cause Midna to return in some way, and could form a possible relationship between Link and Midna.
Skyward Sword
There are really 2 ways for this to get some sort of connection to the past or future, first of which is a Prequel, about the First Hero and the Goddess Hylia, and the War against Demise, the 2nd is the Establishment of Hyrule, it could show where the Goron came from, the Zora, the Gerudo, the Kokiri, and it could end with Link, Hylia's Chosen Hero, and Zelda, the Reincarnation of Hylia being the first King and Queen of Hyrule, I think this one is the easiest to make a sequel or prequel to because it would probably explain the origins of Hyrule, or the Origins of the World of Zelda.
That's all I've got for my thoughts on it, I doubt we're ever going to get a sequel to any of these games, because we don't know what Nintendo is planning next for Zelda after the Ocarina of Time remake, but what would your thoughts be? (I put up a Poll on what you think would be most likely to get a Sequel.)

I’m pretty new to Zelda. I started with Link’s Awakening and loved it so much that I immediately started looking for another Zelda game to scratch that itch while I wait for the new OoT release.
A friend of mine who’s been a longtime Zelda fan told me that A Link to the Past essentially laid the groundwork for Ocarina of Time. He recommended that I avoid playing them back-to-back to prevent burnout and fully appreciate the magic of experiencing OoT for the first time.
I’m curious what the community thinks. Would playing ALTTP beforehand enhance my experience with OoT, or would I be better off saving it for later?

Why do L and R do the exact same thing when one could have been a secondary equip slot? And why is a whole face button just "Put Away"??
It also looks like two D-Pad directions cannot be used until you have specific items, so they do nothing for a huge portion of the game.

I think it was a bit disheartening to see the OOT remake devolving to the "yellow pain" design, involving stuff like hookshot target in the forest temple entrance and a quest log to tell the player where to go. The entire allure of Zelda games is getting lost in the world and using your brain to progress. Remove this and the whole thing is just going through motions. So I hope the remake is not directed to the non-existent braindead audience because it wouldn't make any goddamn sense.

I didn't see anything on the Nintendo store that would suggest this. The pro controller with the replaceable battery is also supposed to come out this winter. There are 2 listings for each the console and the controller. One with a replaceable battery and one without it.

In the original, the Forest Temple's Stalfos room had a hole in the floor that the Stalfos could just hover over, but Link couldn't. In this version, they changed it to a pool of green acid that the Stalfos can walk in, but Link takes damage if he touches the acid

Been working on this mod for the last few months for Dusklight and thought you folks might enjoy it! Necessary disclaimer, this is not one of those AI "I put this game into this game" things, this has been weeks and weeks worth of modeling, retexturing and rigging work along with familiarizing myself with TP's mod tools.

The dipshits over at IGN presented their headcanon as fact in their OOT remake gameplay overview but I've also played the game today and I can confirm that not once in the game is there ANY indication that this is supposed to be a fucking play like the mooks over at IGN said so in their gameplay video (I see now IGN will never cease to be just the worst).
What is evident though, is that the events of OOT are presented as an epic Legend, an epic folk tale from long ago that's being retold to us. This is true to the franchise, and more importantly, true to OOT itself, which is pretty much the most legendary game ever made (imo).
So no, the characters are not puppets (another unconfirmed rumor taken as fact) or actors; it's not a stage, this is not a play.
Ocarina of Time here is presented as close to folklore as it will ever be, and I can confirm this is a fucking epic retelling of an iconic Legend; pure, unbridled fantasy adventure epicness.

i was playing metroid dread for the past few days and today i got stuck for like i shit you not three hours trying to figure out where to go, so I uninstalled the game and decided metroidvanias are not for me, considering ive tried two others and had similar bad experience.
I just wanna know if zelda games (like ocarina of time) are similar to metroidvanias in the bad ways, like running around aimlessly with ZERO guide on where to go, and having to run back and forth like thirty fucking miles to grab something then run back and probably forget where to go because of the trek to get what you needed
Im a new fan btw, waiting for OoTHD to come out so i can play my first zelda game
