I bought this game and it doesn’t work. It seems that it’s very dirty inside. Is there any hope in cleaning it ? And if so, how ?

Hey all, for a long time there has been a long running idea that Space Station Silicon Valley would crash using US copies while using the Expansion Pak unless you manage to get the later revision cartridge. Generally, the idea seems to be that if you have a numbered version without the letter A on it, it will have issues crashing due to not being able to load the Evo model. This would also be why it reportedly crashes during the logo screen too. For a long time, I wondered why this would have so easily slipped by the developers, however I've recently done experiments trying different cartridges, and using my original N64 hardware I've actually never been able to replicate this issue. I've tried many carts without issues, but ended up just keeping these 2, neither of which have any issues nor did the others. I wondered, is it possible some of the non Rev A carts still worked fine, or is it dependent on certain models of the N64 itself? This information may exist already, but it's a pretty obscure issue with a pretty niche game, so I was curious to see other people's experiences, opinions or information on the subject. Thanks all!

Still plenty room for improvement but I beat my last ghost. Can be quite a tricky level, especially when you're in the bit where the lazers are firing everywhere. Probably the most fun level in the game though.

Would be nice to see a DKR Amped Up romhack like Mario Kart got but tbh I don't think you could make this game any better lol. The amount of hours I've put into it is ridiculous and it's still as fun as it ever was.

Wouldn't like to be a speedrunner though, that's just turning the game into work imo. They would have gone out of bounds and finished in a much faster time but I just like to play the game as it was intended.

Always wanted to get into the n64, and here we are! Will also be grabbing pilot wings 64 later today or tomorrow !

UPDATE: I got perfect dark, diddy kong racing and banjo kazooie also on the way!

Hi all, thanks for the great welcome in my first post here. I have a GBSC-Pro and an S-Video compatible N64. I am based in the UK and was wondering if anyone has any ideas for good S-Video cables without insane import taxes or delivery fees? Many thanks!!

The only English Patch for this game is completely broken.

When I do Tom Nooks tutorial chore of sending a letter the next day the save data is corrupt on start up.

Even if I use the n64 save on the unpatched Japanese version and then load back up in the patched version after sending the letter, it only get a few more days forward at most before freezing on the start screen. I also read that actually paying off the first loan causes it to crash to black screen.

Is there a better English patch or fix so that the game is actually completable (pay off loan to Tom Nook)?

I’m playing on a Everdrive X7 RTC Flash Cart. I alsohave the original Japanese Game Cart but it’s a conversion sim and my Japanese is very poor.

A copy of Japanese Super Mario 64 and Pokémon Stadium Gold & Silver to run on my Japanese N64.

I have an ED64+ but realized I wanted physical copies of my favorite games aside.

It’s nice that we have 2 options for new N64 hardware and they both do a good job of working with new displays. However, the N64 (arguably) looks the best on a real CRT and neither option has the ability to easily plug into an old set. Will we see a new option with support for analog video or is that considered too niche to support?

So I just got a free N64, with 3 games. This is my favourite retro console. I don’t anticipate wanting any other retro consoles (not impossible though).

Conker is $250. Most other games I’d want are a in a range of prices.

I probably won’t get a crt, but could. I am most likely to play the N64 on my big screen.

I am not techy at all. Not interested in downloading anything myself.

My plan;
1. Retroscaler or Eon Super 64
2. Super 64 multi game cartridge
3. 2 Wireless controllers (not sure which brand)

Does this look good? Is there something better?

I've never played OG Paper Mario. I have the Switch remake of TTYD and loved it. I do not care to get the NSO expansion. I'm not counting on Nintendo to give us an amazing remake like they did for TTYD. So, is there a "definitive" way to experience a decomp version of this game?

EDIT: one dude replied with "you can just play it on an emulator." Well, I could've done the same for OoT and Majora's Mask. But then I tried Ship of Harkinian/2 Ship 2 Harkinian and they offer all sorts of nice tweaks and options—widescreen support, performance options, HUD options, bug fixes, quality of life settings, etc. Just slapping a ROM onto an emulator just doesn't compare. Guessing that guy was the downvoter who completely missed the point of why I'm asking his question. I just want some recommendations because I saw a few projects, but I want one that people consider the best.

Im trying to do a whole retro system setup, I only have the n64 with an issue..... i have no hdmi mod, i dont what to spend a fortune for an upscaler.....what can i use tu make the image on a 65" lcd tv look nice without breaking my piggy bank. Thank you

recently received a n64 and some games from my Mom’s side. The old saves for OOT are still here and I’d like to play them before the remake comes out. All of this stuff is from the 90s so I’m a little bit worried I’m gonna play it and then it’s gonna die on me. What do you guys think?
