Hey, can someone give me a clue to get the Zora mask? I am stuck.
What I know:
- Hookshot is probably in the fortress according to fisherman
- Sea horse in fisherman hut wants to be free
- Firsherman wants photo of Gerudo pirate in exchange of sea horse
- Daying Zora wants to get to shore (probably need to drag them with the hookshot)
- Wooden walls (probably breakable) in bottom of the sea at the edge of the fortress
- Random Zora in the entrance of the fortress says that if you stay for too long around the area the pirates will get you (not true, waited there the 3 days)
- There is a grotto with one single bombchu (this must be a clue to use it somewhere)
- Lab scientist waiting for Zora eggs
What I tried:
- Break the wooden walls of the fortress with bombchu
- Playing the song of healing as close as possible of the dying zora
- Talked to all the gossip stones that I could find around the area
- Swim across pinnacle rock and other areas, but Link is dragged back to the beginning
- Searched for a Gerudo in clock town
- Tried to get to Ikana, got the Garo's Mask, but I need the hookshot
- Fed the big fishes in the lab
- Won the Zora minigame of breaking jars
- Killing the poor dying Zora thats begging for help
- Enter the Skulltula house, but it seems the hookshot is needed
Can you please help me connect the dots? Is there any clue that I missed? Some information that I haven't got? Some character I haven't talked to?
Back in the day the devs designed the game so you could share tips and ideas with friends or other players, since none of my friends/relatives/colleagues/etc have played any Zelda I got no one to ask.
I fill that asking other players for tips and help falls in the intended category.
Please, not spoilers, otherwise I would use a guide.
Big thanks!
---- UPDATE ----
After realising what to do, I found your answers REALLY FUNNY 🤣 !
You went to great length giving enough information to be useful but avoiding giving to much, and also you downvoted that one comment.
You folks are awesome!
I was thinking too much and the answer was really simple and dumb honestly. Now sure what is dumber, if me not coming to the answer myself or the answer itself.
Not sure what you think, but this is evidence of how the game development was squeezed in less than two years, they were not able to properly introduce the mechanics to the player. It is the first Zelda I ever played (except BotW and TotK, I havent played those yet) in which you have to push something thought the water.
In all other games, they always take good care of introducing key mechanics, like the famous room in the Deku Tree where you have to push a button to light a torch and learn how the fire burns spider webs, or in TP when you have to pull some chains to open doors and then the boss has the same chains hanging from their feet. They did not do the same here, they should have showed the player that they can push things in the water, lake a crate. But well, this is just my opinion.
