Ha! This made me cackle! In part because can you imagine a couple SO mismatched, if only in their wedding attire? Like one spent thousands of dollars to like this, and one was more modest and simple and their vibes are just totally opposite.
I found the post on Facebook and saw some pictures of her with her husband from the same wedding, and her husband was wearing a short sleeve button down shirt with slacks. Like he looked well put together and everything, but definitely a different vibe than the red-carpet-worthy custom gown this Main Character wore. Honestly based on the bride’s dress his outfit was probably more in line with the wedding dress code.
You made me curious, darn me and my curiosity. I really dug deep, thought, yup I can do this, and honestly, I was going strong. Well, I was going strong until I got to the reel of *girls don't get revenge, they get blessed.' Full disclosure, it broke me. 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe she took it down? I just searched the first sentence of the post and it popped right up because she has a public page. Or maybe she just made it private since so many redditors were easily finding her from this post and the original one yesterday.
Yes. Literally went to a wedding like that. Both in dresses and both looked very nice. One would have been at place at a small backyard wedding and the other looked like she was from a wedding magazine. They are still together and have a couple of kids, so I think the mismatch works just fine.
A high school friend of mine told me she was a lesbian from the time we were very young. When she was getting married, her wife to be surprised everyone by wearing a suit, definitely a man's suit. They announced her transition at the reception. It was cute and everyone was absolutely surprised. (Not to say that wearing a suit means someone is trans, but you know what I mean.)
Me too! I thought it was the bride with a guest who wore a short white dress but oh no! So so tacky and yes people would be talking about you. She did that post about tearing other women down as if she didn’t deliberately try to upstage a bride on her literal wedding day
The wildly inappropriate and attention seeking dress (for a wedding) is gorgeous but the lump on her butt is saying, “I bled through on the way over and had to stop at the fabric store for a coverup.”
She made a post about 'tearing women down' while tearing down the women who made perfectly valid criticisms of her. She's clearly mad everyone didn't tell her how amazing and so much more beautiful than the bride she was 🙄
The one in short white dress is the bride? LOL, I thought there were two guests with attire issues. Oh no, perfect example of why one has to allow a bride a lot of room for her to be able to have her day and avoid anything that could create this situation
It kind of makes it even worse. It’s clearly a very well made, expensive gown that fits her body like a glove. She’s not upstaging the bride, she’s using her as a stepping stool. Good lord….
Yes and I'd guess the guest was way overdressed if the brides outfit is anything to go by. Looks a bit more informal than the guests dress. Who does a custom gown for a wedding?
I had a girlfriend many, many years ago who had a friend group going through a series of weddings. She was a bridesmaid in each of those weddings. She would take the bridesmaid dress from one wedding and build an entirely different dress out of it which she would wear to the next wedding. She wore a custom gown to every wedding we went to together, and there were several of them.
Meanwhile one of her friends made all of her own clothing, including gowns she'd wear to weddings.
She was atypical, though. Most people are not amazing seamstresses. But I guess my point is that it does happen, and I think you're absolutely correct that it is uncommon these days.
I love the idea of taking a bridesmaid dress and reworking it to wear as a guest at a different wedding! It’s a great way to make the whole bridesmaids dress thing less wasteful.
Huh...remaking a bridesmaid's dress. That's a reasonably novel (and, frankly, brilliant) idea! You have to spend so much money on those things anyway and you (usually) can only wear them once. That's so smart!
When it was originally posted with the title “guess who the bride is” I was like ok obviously the bride is in the champagne dress. Like yes wearing white to the wedding is tacky but there’s no confusing who the bride is. Then I read it and realized that there WAS confusing who the bride is.
Although I will say, I’m curious what the bride’s wedding dress looked like. In the screenshot of the Facebook post you can see her standing next to the bride who has a full wedding dress/train. Looks like she changed for the reception so I’d be curious to see if the real wedding dress was upstaged as much as the reception dress was.
The first thought that came to my mind was that this guest looked like they might be from a different culture (happy to be corrected).
If this was the case, at weddings in the ME and India, you're supposed to dress super fancy, as there is no possible way to upstage the bride.
This looks like literally the perfect dress for a wedding guest in that culture. Train and all.
However, if that's not the case, and a.) they aren't from that culture, b.) they are from that culture and knew it was different here but just didn't care, then yes, absolute AH behavior.
It's slightly possible they kind of knew it wasn't the thing here, but they didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I'm skeptical.
Their response, though. A decent person with genuine intentions would apologize and be mortified. So doubling down is suspect.
My sister said based from Facebook comments, the guest here is the aunt to the bride. And generally, in this very specific culture wedding, it's frowned upon to have a dress code and RSVP. And the usual unspoken dress code is to just wear something nice (no Black Tie unless it's requested). And judging by the video on Facebook, the rest of the guests just wore formal colored dresses (nothing fancy like this specific guest).
It kind of reminds me of a slip or undergarment you would wear under the real dress so people don’t see your bra and underwear showing through the outer white fabric of the real dress portion.
I am a part of this culture and community. I can confirm. We do not dress this over the top for weddings as a guest. Considering it’s custom-made, she had the time to think this through. Just with that, it’s not about the dress anymore. It’s about their true intentions towards you.
I mean as an Indian person, you would also know that the wedding isn’t a Desi wedding and would dress accordingly. Not being able to upstage the bride at desi weddings only works if everyone is wearing desi clothes, because the bride also has extra bridal jewelry, hair etc that normal guests would not wear as a wedding guest with their nicer Indian clothes.
Oof, it doesn’t help that the actual bride’s dress is… not at all bridal… it’s like a TJ Maxx dress which is fine but would make most people look overdressed unless the dress code was “casual.”
It looks like a reception dress for dancing to me. Based on the amazing flowers behind her I have a very hard time believing it’s a cheap dress. Likely one of 2 or 3 she wore that night.
I saw The Facebook posts of the woman in the fancy dress with the train and she is going absolutely over-the-top with rationalizing that anyone who says anything bad about her or her dress is trying to take women down
her entire "women who can't compete with you" comment implies that she's just so amazing and beautiful that she simply can't help but upstage other women!
no, bitch, you're literally wearing a wedding dress.
Honestly it would be amazing in any situation other than a wedding…and maybe a funeral.
Idk why she would dim her own shine by wearing it at someone else’s wedding (and becoming the bad guy) instead of waiting for a different, more socially acceptable, event to break it out.
Guessing she went all out expecting the photographer to take a bunch of photos of just her and the happy couple woukd give them to her. Professional pics are expensive and being trashy is cheap.
My aunt did something like this. She found out my wedding colors, dressed herself and her kids to coordinate, and then pressganged the photographer into taking family photos of them.
She didn’t see a single one; somehow they didn’t make it onto our wedding site! It’s almost like the people who paid for the photographer saw this happen, didn’t say a word, and then sought revenge. The pool of suspects is small, but the mystery lingers!
This is the way to go!! Same for anyone that gets engaged at a wedding. Oooh so sad the photographer didnt get any pics because it's almost like they were being paid to take pics of the wedding!
The only time an engagement is ok at the wedding is if the bride and groom want it to happen. I know of one person that begged her sister's boyfriend to propose at her wedding specifically bc she wanted to share the joy/day. Otherwise it's incredibly rude
My aunt didn’t get invited and made a Facebook vaguepost complaining about it. After not going to my sister’s wedding just a few months prior, that she was invited to. She wasn’t specifically excluded, I had a very small wedding. Immediate family and wedding party only. There was maybe 40 people including my husband and I. I didn’t invite any aunts or cousins. People will cry over anything.
I LOVE IT 💅 that’s the perfect revenge honestly. You foiled her plan calmly, without any confrontation or drama, and she can’t complain about it without exposing herself as a cheap moocher who hijacked someone’s wedding photos instead of paying for her own family photos. Beautiful
She did! I said gosh there are so many pictures, I’ll have to go back and see. I didn’t see any when I went through yesterday! And then never mentioned it again.
The likelihood is because of her attitude she probably doesn't get invited to many events where should could wear outfits like this. There's a very fine line between being confident and just being a self centered asshole. It seems she's the latter.
Right? That dress is gorgeous and she looks beautiful. She could have worn it to another event and shone, but no, she had to try to one-up a bride on her wedding day and expose herself as rude, tacky, jealous, or maybe all three
The story is real, the photos are real, there’s vids of this woman in this dress at this wedding on Facebook. This photo though, what in the cursed photoshop is going on??
I think this is likely what is happening. I remember OP posted it earlier without blurs and people were looking up the offenders Facebook (if OP did an entire fake Facebook that would be wild)
Real queens don’t tear each other down! Real queens arrive at a wedding in a custom gown to upstage the bride so they can feel better than other women, then they say those other women “bark from behind”. Real queens don’t understand hypocrisy, obviously.
Oh no, she wants us to know that she’s that bitch. She couldn’t possibly have worn such a plebeian dress for her own wedding; she wore this monstrosity instead. She just posted videos of her actual wedding dress from 2023 and asked if anyone wanted to buy it? Unhinged lunatic is doubling down! Not only is she a deeply insecure narcissist, she’s also petty as hell.
Maybe it’s just personal opinion but why is the dress she wore to someone else’s wedding better looking than her own wedding dress? That itself is embarrassing imo
It is a lot of white strings that are tied around her wrist from all the guests as a blessing. It's a shaman ritual done for blessing at weddings and other events.
Right?? How are these people finding this information if it’s all block out. I don’t want a name since think thats probably against the rules, but where did people find this info??
There are wedding shaming groups on fb. And once one of them gets their hands on a juicy post, its not long until the others pick them up too, so they spread FAST. Especially when the person being shamed has a public profile and a shit ton of followers. Because the likelihood is very high that someone who follows her is in one of the groups.
I haven't been on fb in a while, but I swear, fb users can find someone's entire life story if they have the will to do so. Its like a million detectives who only investigate petty drama.
Okay so I saw the original post and I have been thinking about it ever since lol. The side by side of them is crazy-the custom dress chick genuinely looks like the bride. And if she was gunna do a custom dress she should not have picked something so close to white.
That being said, the bride wore a non traditional wedding dress. Which is fine! But it makes the custom dress look WAY worse. It also makes her look insanely over dressed. If the wedding was true black or white tie, and the bride was in an extravagant gown, this custom dress wouldn’t look as bad.
I would never wear this, and I’m not defending her pick-me, narcissistic mean girl behavior in response, but just bringing a different perspective.
Maybe there is another post that I missed but the bride’s dress to me looks like a reception dress that people change into if their dress is too heavy/extravagant to wear all night.
Maybe, but it still means the dress code is unlikely to be black tie - a bride wouldn't wear this even just for the reception if the dress code is black tie and everyone else is wearing ball gowns. What is the point of having a black tie wedding if you're not even going to wear black tie yourself to the reception? I could see a dress change if the dress was heavy and difficult to dance in, but I think she would still choose another black tie dress to change into, just a lighter and more flexible one.
For the record, I think the guest’s dress is totally inappropriate regardless. But anecdotally I’ve seen quite a bit of 1) brides wearing a far more casual reception dress (including many who change into sneakers) than the dress code and 2) weddings that state a “formal” dress code on the website or invite when it’s clear the bride/groom don’t actually know what formal entails and just don’t want people to show up in jeans.
I’ve worn gowns (NOTHING like this) to weddings with a stated “formal” dress code and been totally overdressed so that one is a particular bugaboo.
Funny how she's using the "mistress" comparison when she's not the one getting married, yet she's desperately imitating a bride. If anyone is acting like a "mistress" (to use her same odd word), it's her. She's not the bride yet deliberately chose a gown that would make her look like one. Desperate to be the belle of the ball at an event celebrating another woman's relationship.
She had a custom wedding dress made to wear to someone else's wedding. This type of attention seeking is why everyone believes narcissism is more prevalent than we once believed. It takes a serious ego and lots of insecurity to do this on someone else's big day.
I posted this in the original post. I see now why more brides have an "accidental" red wine spiller on standby at their weddings. I also read about couples who have a secret signal they give to their bridesmaids/groomsmen or the DJ to start playing music if someone tries to do an unauthorized proposal, engagement, and or pregnancy announcement.
the bride posted a video showing a fancier dress for the main ceremony! the guest’s dress would’ve been acceptable (still over the top) WITHOUT THE TRAIN! i’ve been to non western weddings where all the guests are dressed to the nines, but the bride and groom are dressed to infinity and decked in gold
When a dear friend of mine got married, the dress code was as fancy-schmancy as possible. We were specifically invited to try to outdo the bride. Why did she do that? Because she knew no one was going to outdo her. She was literally the most beautiful bride I've ever seen in my life. Her dress was dripping in sparkles and jewels, she could have outshone the stars themselves.
Yea, when my sister showed me the photo, I immediately thought the bride was the one on the right until she corrected me that she's the guest and had that dress custom made. Yikes
Honestly the second photo with the white background and flowers looks like a prom picture. That seems just like the background they use for formal prom photos.
Damn. Now this is the kind of dress we should be mad about! I think some people take the “white is bad” thing too far when they get upset about dresses that are like floral patterns on a white background and the like. THIS is not white but it’s so much worse! She looks like she’s the bride here. Even down to the dramatic solo photos. WTF was she thinking?!
Oh shoot! I really thought that she was the bride and her friend wore white to the wedding but, it’s the other way around 👁️👄👁️…. What was she thinking with that custom dress?!
Also, in response to her social media post you should make your own, referring to self-absorbed people who desperately need attention and validation at the cost of others. That should shut her the fuck up.
If everyone had been dressed over the top glam, it would be fine. If the invitation had said black tie, go all out, gilded age glam, and the bride was wearing a Princess Di wedding gown, this dress would be incredible. It is incredible. It's gorgeous. But you should never dress in such an ostentatious way for a summer wedding without knowing with absolute certainty that everyone will be dressed similarly. She did it for attention. And she was going to get her attention one way or another.
Criticism for your lack of tact is not jealousy, it’s social shaming for being a dickhead on someone else’s big day. Women like this drive me nuts because any sort of criticism feeds their overinflated ego.
On the off chance auntie or someone like the auntie is reading this. WE ARE NOT JEALOUS OF YOUR OVERWHELMING NEED TO BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. We actually pity you and wonder how you can overcome these serious insecurities. It’s weird to not take a back seat and enjoy someone’s special moment and instead choose to upstage.
She would have been rudely asked to leave, after being told how she should be ashamed of herself because not everything is about her, and she doesn't have to be the center of attention all the time. She should be embarrassed and should learn basic etiquette. People like this need to be embarrassed.
Yes, I know I'm one that says wearing a little white to a wedding isn't a big deal but full white or something that looks bridal is a no no even for me.
Such a light color and a blingy dress are no’s on their own but then the damn train just makes her look ridiculous. She definitely did this on purpose no one thinks essentially a veil on your ass is appropriate for someone else’s wedding. The ass veil is super tacky too
Either way, she definitely shouldn’t have worn this. But I don’t know about custom-made. My sister got basically this exact dress on Shien for like $75
The part of the guest from Hell that gets me is that she says women shouldn’t “tear each other down,” but immediately goes on to say that women can’t compete with her.

That's a gorgeous dress but I thought she was the bride.
