Reupload to blur out the faces. She double down and made a FB post about how women shouldn't tear each other down.....

I hate the fact that I love that dress.

Honestly it would be amazing in any situation other than a wedding…and maybe a funeral.

Idk why she would dim her own shine by wearing it at someone else’s wedding (and becoming the bad guy) instead of waiting for a different, more socially acceptable, event to break it out.

Guessing she went all out expecting the photographer to take a bunch of photos of just her and the happy couple woukd give them to her. Professional pics are expensive and being trashy is cheap.

My aunt did something like this. She found out my wedding colors, dressed herself and her kids to coordinate, and then pressganged the photographer into taking family photos of them.

She didn’t see a single one; somehow they didn’t make it onto our wedding site! It’s almost like the people who paid for the photographer saw this happen, didn’t say a word, and then sought revenge. The pool of suspects is small, but the mystery lingers!

It was me. I deleted them.

This is the way to go!! Same for anyone that gets engaged at a wedding. Oooh so sad the photographer didnt get any pics because it's almost like they were being paid to take pics of the wedding!

u/cjati Jul 23 '25

The only time an engagement is ok at the wedding is if the bride and groom want it to happen. I know of one person that begged her sister's boyfriend to propose at her wedding specifically bc she wanted to share the joy/day. Otherwise it's incredibly rude

47

u/notyourhunbot Jul 23 '25

That’s beautiful. But agreed!

Did you put them in the family chat "by accident?"

10

u/immoreoriginalmate Jul 24 '25

I am laughing so much at this!

5

u/rumade Jul 25 '25

No aunt Ethel! No!

108

u/Over-Clue-8469 Jul 23 '25

I believe the guest is the aunt of the bride

67

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

Yes, it’s my aunt. That part of my family has some narcissism running amok.

141

u/Over-Clue-8469 Jul 23 '25

I'm talking about the actual post. 😅😅 She's also the aunt to this bride who's wearing the short white dress

73

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

Oh good lord. What the actual hell 😅

18

u/Tiny_Cauliflower_618 Jul 23 '25

Suddenly I am glad I didn't invite any of my aunts 🤣 although TBF, they're all well behaved, it's just this is a very small second wedding for me 😂

16

u/KuraiHanazono Jul 23 '25

My aunt didn’t get invited and made a Facebook vaguepost complaining about it. After not going to my sister’s wedding just a few months prior, that she was invited to. She wasn’t specifically excluded, I had a very small wedding. Immediate family and wedding party only. There was maybe 40 people including my husband and I. I didn’t invite any aunts or cousins. People will cry over anything.

u/Big-University-1132 Jul 23 '25

It was me. I deleted them.

I LOVE IT 💅 that’s the perfect revenge honestly. You foiled her plan calmly, without any confrontation or drama, and she can’t complain about it without exposing herself as a cheap moocher who hijacked someone’s wedding photos instead of paying for her own family photos. Beautiful

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

I have been called a master of emotional judo. It’s not always accurate, but this—this is one of my finest moments.

1

u/PunchDrunken Jul 27 '25

I need your skills lol

35

u/Mi_goodyness Jul 23 '25

Did she bring it up? Ask about them??

107

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

She did! I said gosh there are so many pictures, I’ll have to go back and see. I didn’t see any when I went through yesterday! And then never mentioned it again.

2

u/iridescentaf Jul 27 '25

Professional move

31

u/sipstea84 Jul 23 '25

I love the twist at the end

18

u/SheBrownSheRound Jul 23 '25

I adore you.

16

u/spin_me_again Jul 23 '25

I may need to have you join any coven I start, you’re a good witch and I love you!

13

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

Babe sign me the fuck up ♥️

10

u/spin_me_again Jul 23 '25

Done! We now have 2 and need to find more cool witches that know how life needs to be lived!

4

u/IdlesAtCranky Jul 24 '25

I volunteer as Witch Tribute!

4

u/spin_me_again Jul 24 '25

3! We have 3!

5

u/IdlesAtCranky Jul 24 '25

💙🌙✨️

3

u/Low-Classroom8184 Jul 24 '25

Sign me up as well. I sit naked in my woods in Florida smoking weed and playing video games while bathing in bugspray.

2

u/spin_me_again Jul 24 '25

I don’t have weed or bug spray so you’ll be a welcome addition to the coven! I do have brownies and good intentions so I can bring those!

2

u/Low-Classroom8184 Jul 24 '25

Oh hell yeah i know how to make tinctures and oil infusions. We can combine our powers for Giggle Brownies

2

u/Ok_Money_1978 Jul 25 '25

Oh, me too please!

1

u/spin_me_again Jul 25 '25

I think you’re our 5th member!

8

u/cjati Jul 23 '25

I would give you gold if I wasn't poor 🥇

6

u/Dog-PonyShow Jul 23 '25

Much respect. Well done.

5

u/TheC9 Jul 24 '25

lol, as a retired wedding photographer, I just couldn’t stop laughing

3

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

Oh I bet you’ve seen some crazy!

5

u/Keylime29 Jul 24 '25

Oh, I like that no drama all that wasted energy ha ha ha ha revenge

2

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

I am really not a drama fan. I just wanted to enjoy my wedding that I'd spent so much money on and worked so hard to make happen.

3

u/PerfectShadow63 Jul 23 '25

I wish I could like this more than once because I cracked up!

3

u/HoldFastO2 Jul 24 '25

Shame on you for spoiling the mystery!

But I bow to your sense of appropriate vengeance. Well done.

2

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

Thank you. Sometimes being passive is the right play, and being open just causes more bullshit.

2

u/Outside_Case1530 Jul 23 '25

You're very clever! Did she ask about them?

3

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

She did. In short, I told her I’d have to look and see, and oop, just never got back to her

2

u/KingKobbs Jul 23 '25

You're just fantastic, aren't you? Lmao

2

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

2

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

EXACTLY. Some folks don't get it. I suspect the burden of paying for their wedding didn't fall on them.

We had a very strict budget and everything was perfectly accounted for. Anything we could do ourselves? We did it.

I handmade cookies for treat bags. I designed and printed the programs and the signage. I DJed the gd thing with a playlist, and had a friend emcee.

Maybe there are weddings where it's perfectly fine to steal the photographer away. I haven't been to one, and would never do it personally. I know first hand how precious every penny is when you've accounted for every one.

2

u/JurassicPark-fan-190 Jul 24 '25

You are the bride? You look beautiful. Your aunt is a total pick me and honestly a bitch. How dare she. I’d have someone adjust the pictures of you and her to make her teeth yellow or something and make it one of your key wedding photos. The photo shop sub would probably love to help you!!

2

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

Oh my, no not the bride above. This is a story from my own wedding, about 15 years ago 😅

2

u/BritishBlue32 Jul 24 '25

That last line took me out

3

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

👰🏻‍♀️ 👀 IT ME

1

u/Zorgsmom Jul 24 '25

Good. Rude behavior should never be rewarded.

1

u/xBraria Jul 24 '25

The way you wrote this is pure evil satisfying perfection.

-3

u/ittybittytitty_com Jul 23 '25

Really? I made sure there was time for the photographer to get family portraits of all of my immediate and extended family. I figure they spent the time doing their makeup and hair and getting dressed up… The least I could do was make sure they get some good pictures out of it. I also sent photos of every single guest to them. The worst is going to someone’s wedding and then never getting to see any of the photos.

11

u/ladylondonderry Jul 23 '25

I actually created a website and put every other photo up for free download. It isn’t about the pictures and their availability; it’s the fact that she stole the photographer away from the wedding to do it. It’s finite photo time that we paid for out of our finite budget, and she very literally stole it.

-1

u/Bulky-Pool-2586 Jul 24 '25 edited Jul 24 '25

I don't get this. Are you saying they were dressed appropriately and just asked the photographer for some pics of them?

I don't see a big problem with this. Every wedding I've been to, there was a point where some people asked for a photo of them.

I once happened to chill with my gf next to a beautiful garden to get away from the crowd a bit, and the photographer walked by so we asked him to snap a quick pic. Not to abuse the free photographer but to have a nice "us" memory of the wedding.

I don't know, maybe it's a culture difference.

Or maybe they were very demanding and took prolonged time and multiple photos & scenes? I could see that being over the top. I suppose there's a difference between "I will abuse the free photo opportunity" vs "I'd like to have a pic of me at the wedding".

At more beautiful/fancy weddings I've even seen the photographers stationed around photogenic locations taking pics of guests who wanted it.

1

u/ladylondonderry Jul 24 '25

I've explained this elsewhere; the photographer was only there for a limited time and she took them away from photographing the wedding and getting candids of the guests. I'd be more fine with it she'd asked me or my husband, but to be honest, even asking is an imposition. I totally get that there are weddings where it makes sense to do this--it wasn't that kind of wedding. It was incredibly finite and it was coming out of a finite budget

46

u/dimmidummy Jul 23 '25

That sounds depressingly plausible.

41

u/Ladygytha Jul 23 '25

Those photos are also photoshopped - notice the leaning fence pickets on the left in pic 2 and the weird bench issues in pic 3.

18

u/redeyedmermaid Jul 23 '25

Yeah what is happening with that bench?? I’ve stared and stared and can’t figure it out lmao

1

u/Ladygytha Jul 24 '25

They brought up the second plank and couldn't figure out what to do with the arm rest. It's really bad.

12

u/desertangel520 Jul 23 '25

Looks like a possible AI background or using AI for editing.

2

u/Ladygytha Jul 24 '25

I mean - Photoshop and AI are tools. I don't even blame people for using them (to a degree). That's what they are literally for... tools are made to be used.

But the whole double down thing from the last screenshot, with being classless enough to do this at someone's wedding, with using the tool poorly enough that it's fairly easily spotted? ... Yeah, no sympathy for this lady.

4

u/lovelyladylox Jul 23 '25

Yeah she warped her waist in or up or both.

13

u/Knitsanity Jul 23 '25

Looks like she got some photos out of it. Ick

2

u/Big-University-1132 Jul 23 '25

I hadn’t thought of this, but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if that were the case

2

u/BaconCheeseBurger Jul 25 '25

That dress is thousands of dollars. Thousands. I promise you she can afford a professional photographer for 500 bucks.

1

u/skeletoorr Jul 23 '25

We are offering a quick photo to print and send back later with the thanks yous.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

This dress custom made with all that bead work is probably at least $10k. She could have bought and tailored a beautiful dress and rented a photographer for less than that. This is not a case of someone being cheap.

IMHO this is a girl who wants her bf to think about marrying her when he sees her in a wedding-like dress.

123

u/Tanyec Jul 23 '25

Except for the weird ribbon diarrhea happening in the back.

28

u/Dry-Mall-3003 Jul 23 '25

Yeah it somehow even warped the bench

17

u/gonnafaceit2022 Jul 23 '25

Yeah what the fuck kind of bench is that??

4

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

🤣🤣🤣

1

u/lebrunjemz Jul 24 '25

Yeah I love the dress but the butt-veil is heinous also makes it look way more bridal wtf was the thought process

0

u/GoonOnGames420 Jul 24 '25

I think the dress without that part would be perfectly acceptable

13

u/Nearby-Structure-739 Jul 23 '25

Fr I’m lowkey debating saving this for my wedding inspo🤣

38

u/MD564 Jul 23 '25

The likelihood is because of her attitude she probably doesn't get invited to many events where should could wear outfits like this. There's a very fine line between being confident and just being a self centered asshole. It seems she's the latter.

24

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

Dress itself I agree, but that train is trash

15

u/Big-University-1132 Jul 23 '25

Right? That dress is gorgeous and she looks beautiful. She could have worn it to another event and shone, but no, she had to try to one-up a bride on her wedding day and expose herself as rude, tacky, jealous, or maybe all three

11

u/wh0re4nickelback Jul 23 '25

…and maybe a funeral.

I'd rock this to my asshole ex-husband's funeral. Let's party!!!!

5

u/coolbeansfordays Jul 23 '25

I can’t think of an opportunity to wear this dress. It’s gorgeous, but the only occasion I can think of would be a New Year’s gala.

1

u/SparkyDogPants Jul 24 '25

It would be a great wedding dress

3

u/MeowMeow_77 Jul 23 '25

She should have saved it for her own wedding. All she needed was a vail and/or tiara. The nerve!!

2

u/dimmidummy Jul 23 '25

She has a ring on her finger, so I think she’s already married (or maybe just engaged idk)

2

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

I would happily wear this to my own wedding lol, except I'd get a better train lmao.

2

u/First_Pay702 Jul 24 '25

It is a gorgeous dress, it’s a shame it ended up in the hands of someone so hideous.

3

u/JetstreamGW Jul 23 '25

It’s a great dress, being worn by a stupidly hot self absorbed jackass.

1

u/eternalwhat Jul 23 '25

It would be amazing for her to wear as her own wedding dress but is beyond ridiculous to wear to a wedding as a guest, unless the bride and groom have asked guests to wear their own bride/groom attire.

1

u/rirasama Jul 24 '25

The dress is gorgeous but definitely not appropriate to wear to someone else's wedding 💀

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

Could she be an influencer? It could be a two for one deal lol -- go to a friend's wedding but also take a bunch of sponsored pictures and get paid for it.

1

u/Katedodwell2 Jul 26 '25

Cause this was her only opportunity

1

u/iqueefkief Jul 26 '25

narcissism

1

u/Raining__Tacos Jul 27 '25

Tbh if someone wore that to my funeral I’d def look up and have no hate whatsoever for it.

But a wedding is a no

1

u/Gh0st_Sparr0w Jul 27 '25

Don't know why? It's called narcissism

0

u/Buffyismyhomosapien Jul 23 '25

I’m genuinely confused about why this dress is so bad…isn’t it champagne/gold?? Can anyone explain this to me?

3

u/dimmidummy Jul 23 '25

For me the biggest issue is the bridal style ribbon train at the back. If it were just the gown, then there’s room for argument. But the train is damning.

0

u/Buffyismyhomosapien Jul 23 '25

Great point. I love this dress and I’ve definitely seen wedding guests wearing similar things with 0 problems…but they didn’t have a train.
