Reupload to blur out the faces. She double down and made a FB post about how women shouldn't tear each other down.....

A high school friend of mine told me she was a lesbian from the time we were very young. When she was getting married, her wife to be surprised everyone by wearing a suit, definitely a man's suit. They announced her transition at the reception. It was cute and everyone was absolutely surprised. (Not to say that wearing a suit means someone is trans, but you know what I mean.)

Saving cash by making it a gender reveal wedding. Smart :)

So she wasn't a lesbian after all?

I would also like to know if she still considers herself a lesbian

idk why you’re getting downvoted, i love gender fuckery but i’m genuinely confused about what happened here?? the usage of she/her makes me think that the wife is transfem so yes lesbianism but i don’t understand why a trans woman would wear a man’s suit to her own “gender reveal”, i think i’m just missing something

Yeah I guess I didn't explain that very clearly. Their names were Jane and June when they met, both female. A lesbian couple, yes. June changed their name to James when they got married and wore a suit and not all of the guests were surprised, but a lot were. So James is a trans man, and now my classmate is married to a man.

It's confusing for me too, or it was. Jane has been a lesbian, legit, since we were in middle school. So the idea of her having a husband is very bizarre. I don't know if James had bottom surgery, obviously I wouldn't ask that but I will admit that I wondered, if James did want to have bottom surgery, how Jane would feel. She never had any interest in penises, so would she be interested in James's penis if he had one?

We aren't close enough that I would ask her any personal things like this and it's definitely none of my business but I am an excruciatingly curious person. The conclusion I came to was, they were girls who fell in love, and years later, they loved each other so much, just as the humans they are, that even a gender transition wouldn't break them.

FYI female to male bottom surgery isn't very advanced (yet) and the results are definitely not as good as mtf bottom surgery. Many ftm people choose to keep their existing bits and often just keep doing what they are used to in the bedroom (though many also change from top to bottom or other way around, or choose to only or not at all "receive").

Just some general information for your curiosity lol

You explained it fine. Some folks just struggle with reading comprehension.

Yeah, but they at least usually go for the formal jorts.

The idea of formal jorts is sending me. I'm picturing John Cena-esque jorts, but with a crisp pleat.

Like, not CUT-OFFS! How tacky. But tastefully hemmed jorts.

Whoa, bud, I trimmed the strings down, and replaced the cut-off extension cord with a realish belt. What more do you want?

My ex-bff's husband did that, but then he didn't want to marry her at all.

And we politely decline being part of this.

For my wedding (ok, local elopement because I hate weddings) I plan to wear a giant, opulent confection of taffeta and tulle, and I want my husband to wear whatever he wants, which will likely be baggy jeans and an oversize tee 😆 I honestly don't gaf, all I want is to celebrate how amazing our partnership is and how much I adore him
