Meta I hate the rhetoric that gatekeeping is a bad thing
Posers. Posers everywhere.
They show up to your community & fucking ruin it.
And when you call them posers, tourists or fake fans, people always say "wHy aRe wE gAtEKeEpInG x ?"
Real fans dont need to worry about gatekeeping. If ur constantly being gatekept then stop being a fucking poser.
Im an original 2000s goth & to see the state of whats happened to our culture is cringe. And we arent allowed to call these fake people who are basically a parody of goth out? Fuck off

Advice Needed My husband makes me feel like I ruined his life.
A year and a half ago my husband and I moved to a new state for an educational opportunity for him. He quit his old job thinking he would find a new one. Well, 1.5 years later and he is still jobless and has been unable to continue the education due to financial constraints. Iâve been working my remote job the whole time and financially supporting us both but it is draining our savings fast.
He managed to get a part time job that paid up to 1500 a month. I was happy for him but still had to go take a walk and cry because that still barely touches our bills and that job had no career progression.
Thatâs when I suggested we move back home. I could get an even better paying job back home with a good sign on bonus and he could go back to his old workplace. He rejected this because he hates our old state. He suggested he join the military. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I said idk, I just want financial stability. So, he decided to do the military.
He is enlisting Friday. I can tell he is depressed. I encouraged therapy but he rejected this option. I again suggested we move back home, rejected. He said that he feels like I am sending him to an active war zone to die in exchange for financial stability. This was said to me half an hour before work. I began crying and he said this is why he doesnât share stuff with me, it makes him feel like an asshole. I am so hopeless for the future now. I donât know what to do. I feel like he will be so depressed in the military. What else can he do? He is 30 and hasnât figured out a career yet and hasnât found a job in a year and a half.

SOCIETY The reason why Danny Tejo stars in so many low-budget movies, some of which are student films where he often takes little to no money is because he wants to pay it forward by helping other filmmakers get their start and he just loves to work.

No Advice - Everyones Welcome Took my girlfriend to a Chinese restaurant to propose. Turns out she had been there with her ex before.
Edit 1: We have been together for more than a year and a half.
Edit 2: We are both older than 30 and this was not a random ass Chinese restaurant but rather one that she always talked about. Tbh, she had never told me why :(
Edit 3: Of course, it was not that she had an ex or she stated that she had an ex that infuriated me but that obviously she kept on and on mentioning for neverending minutes how she loved him etc.
Guys, Iâd been planning this for weeks. I found a nice Chinese restaurant, ordered a massive Ginger and Scallion Crab, and had the ring in my pocket.
My plan was to wait until after dinner, get down on one knee, and make it a night sheâd never forget for ages (or so I thought). Halfway through the meal I told her how much I loved the place and how special I wanted tonight to be.
She looked at me and said, âOh, Iâve been here before. My ex brought me here once.â Then she spent the next 20 minutes telling me how much she used to love him, she enjoyed being with him etc. I donât think she realized how much that sentence hurt. I just sat there for a moment, trying to process it with the ring in my pocket and this stupid smile on my face.
Long story short, I lost all my nerve. We finished what we could, but I couldnât bring myself to stay much longer. I told her I was tired, we went our separate ways, and I drove home feeling absolutely crushed.
PS: For those curious, I did not propose her that night and I am not planning to, at least for a while.

TRIGGER WARNING Gross: Comedian Shane Gillis Repeatedly Calls Underage Girls âHot Kidsâ and âHottest P*ssy In The Worldâ
Source: I made this video. These clips are combined from a few random episodes of Matt and Shaneâs Secret Podcast and Shane Gillisâs special Live in Austin (2021). I did not have to search extensively to find strange clips like these, so I assume Shane says similar things about âhot kidsâ on many more of his podcast episodes.
In these clips, Shane Gillis basically keeps saying he finds 14-18 year old children to be âhottest p*ssyâ over and over again. He even essentially repeats the SNL joke about him drooling over âwomen dressing like wh\*resâ but does it about 14 year old volleyball players.
Itâs fairly clear to me that Shane was not being funny, ironic, or purposely offensive in these clips. The supposed âhumorâ seems to come from Shane saying taboo things he genuinely believes, under the assumption that everyone secretly agrees with him but is too afraid to say them out loud. Essentially, Shane is saying, âCome on, we all know kids are hot. You guys are just too ashamed to say it.â His male audience in these clips laughs and cheers at the idea and his supposed bravery.
90% of Shane Gillisâs humor seems to consist of saying taboo things out loud that loser (mainly white?) chud men believe but canât say to anyone.
Shane Gillisâs humor is basically a way for loser guys to feel OK about being scared that their girlfriend or wife slept with a Black guy (Shaneâs previous SNL monologue), believing that all women dress like whores (Shaneâs latest SNL monologue), or, in this clip, believing that teenage girls are hot.
So Shane essentially exists as a validation mechanism for the loser chud men of the world and their sick thoughts. Shane Gillis is their fucked-up version of validation therapy. Essentially âyour sick thoughts are valid, you are not weird or creepy, you are cool like me and donât ever change.â
Thatâs why I expect so many of these weirdos to show up in the comments defending Shane. He validates their weird, sad thoughts and their weird, sad lives. And when someone criticizes Shane, they feel like someone is criticizing them personally.
Edit:
I created a new Reddit post with a new clip that starts with Shane Gillis admitting to having underage girls in his search history and being afraid to show people. Feel free to listen to the new clip and upvote it and possibly share or post it on TikTok, Insta, or Threads.
