I'm getting flashbacks to "Michael Cohen knows where the bodies are buried" and nothing happened.

927

u/KovyJackson Tennessee 9h ago

I’m convinced these articles are placed by the person’s legal team so that Trump’s team will cut a check. In Cohen’s case, it cleared.

•

u/chipmunksocute 7h ago

Yeah.  No way is she ever going to really turn.  Hell even Cohen eventually slid his way back into Trump's good graces.  That was Trump's personal fixer and nothing happened.  Guilfoyle slept with one of Trump's kids and got shuffled off. I cant imagine she'll ever turn. She'll get some bullshit title that needz 5 hours of work a month and pays 300k.   She'll be fine and kept on the payroll like Noem was.

•

u/RebelAlliance1701 6h ago

She'll get some bullshit title that needz 5 hours of work a month and pays 300k.

Isn't that pretty much what she's doing now?

•

u/CelestialFury Minnesota 6h ago

99% of the Trump regime has no work jobs, only 1% is actually doing all the work (well, AI is doing most of it now). The 99% exist only to be rubberstampers and future scapegoats.

Donald Trump and Michael Cohen bury the hatchet The pair publicly reunited on Cohen’s radio show after years of legal feuds and name-calling.

Would this be an example of "Keeping your friends close and your enemies closer?"

•

u/FellowHumanNo404 3h ago

In his book Fear, Bob Woodward quoted a source close to Trump asserting that Trump's sociopathy is such that when he screws someone over, he doesn't seem to understand that they are likely to be angry with him: He doesn't seem have an intuitive mental model of other people's emotions. So for example, after firing someone without cause and without warning, he might expect them to join him for a cordial lunch the next day.

In fairness, he pointed to some of the bodies, to some of the actual bad things Trump did, and most people just shrugged and didn't care.

Like... Imagine someone saying in the past "I have proof that your presidential candidate cheated on his wives with multiple porn stars, and then paid them off to be quiet?"

that would absolutely be "where the bodies are buried" at any other time in history.

And yet... he showed proof, and everyone said "eh, so what if he cheated on his wife, had sex with porn stars, and illegally paid them off, and even went to lengths to hide those payments. He's got my vote!!!"

•

u/Hardwired_lavamantis 6h ago

He confirmed what we all suspected, that no private investigators were sent to Hawaii for the birth certificate. This was Trump's major step into the national spotlight and it was all a lie. But mission accomplished, it signalled to the racists that he was their guy.

•

u/Hawgdestroyerxtreme 5h ago

This was Trump's major step into the national spotlight and it was all a lie

This guy has never been legitimate.

It's been a Russian campaign to destabilize the US since 2015 all the way until now. "Covfefe" and a Muslim travel ban were among the worst things this idiot really did in his first term. Just racist dog whistles.

This is an intentional collapse of our country and institutions, and we let it go on for so long that it's normalized.

She will trade it for Trump money. This "burn book" isn't ever going to see the light of day. It's a threat to extract millions from the Trump family. She will gladly trade it for cash and an NDA, and once again, the wealthy and powerful get to live in their protected alternative version of America that 99.999% of Americans do not have access to.

u/Comfortable_Cash_140 9h ago

Didn't Trump's 1st wife die after falling down stairs?

44

u/Walkingstardust Florida 9h ago

That's the story we were told.

60

u/NYkrinDC 9h ago

Oddly enough, it was the one who claimed Trump slept with a copy of Hitler's speeches in his bedroom and read from them regularly.

116

u/QuinnAvery89 9h ago

The only thing that makes me disbelieve that story is it is reliant on Trump reading.

17

u/Fract_L 8h ago

There was a published article over a decade ago written by someone who’d known Trump decades and he did find it weird that Trump had this book (Hitler’s second book) on his bedside table because he’d never seen Trump do more than look at pictures in magazines. Lawyers read anything that needed reading and he thought that Trump was almost entirely illiterate.

I really do not believe Trump would read through Hitler’s speeches regularly, just on the ground of how much he hates to read things in general. Like seriously he can barely be bothered to read one page condensed briefings. The idea he reads anything in his free time especially speeches just feels unlikely.

Its all fun to joke about it, and I think Kimberly is a total fucking joke... if our government starts assassinating their diplomats (I dont like it either but that's what she was), then the veil is fully off. If a diplomat (however awful and unqualified for the job) ever gets killed by a fellow American, we are no better than Russia or Syria. Throw in the UAE for the sprinkles on the "this is what you dont do" sundae.

Lots of countries are taking a look at that cake and they want a bite. Most of them realized the cake was full of trumps diaper.

We have completely lost any soft power we had. And as we saw in the late 80s, sometimes that's all you need.

200

u/rlinkmanl 8h ago

I mean the veil has been off for 6 years now. Trump very obviously tried to overthrow the government and is now president again.

Reminder for anybody who forgot, they set up gallows and wanted to hang Mike Pence for not playing ball by refusing to verify the votes

•

u/KcirderfSdrawkcab 7h ago

The fate of America came down to Mike Pence of all people having the courage to do what's right. That's not going to happen with Vance. Unless Thiel tells him to.

•

u/bakerton Vermont 7h ago

Came down to DAN QUAYLE telling Mike Pence to do the right thing

•

u/KcirderfSdrawkcab 7h ago

Wait - Really? I hadn't heard that part.

•

u/bakerton Vermont 6h ago

Dan Quayle told Pence firmly that he had no such power. He said, "Mike, you have no flexibility on this. None. Zero. Forget it. Put it away"

•

u/True_Paper_3830 6h ago

It came down to a metaphorical choice of potato /potatoe and Quayle served up the right potatoe America needed at the right time. The world does sometimes seem like a Matrix that some bored interstellar teenager is playing with, and he's decided to completely fuck with his Sims settings.

u/filthysize 9h ago

Every once in a while I remember that Don, Eric, and Ivanka let their mother's corpse be dumped in an isolated and barely marked corner of a golf course that they let be camouflaged by overgrown weeds for years until photos showed up on the internet and they got shamed into mowing the lawn and finally putting in a gravestone.

49

u/gonz4dieg 8h ago

Buried their mother in an unmarked grave so that they could get relative pennies in a tax write off

It would be like if a regular person dumped their mom at a public park for 300 dollars on their tax return

15

u/taggospreme 8h ago

To me it's more about stalling or delaying any efforts to exhume the remains. Tax breaks seem pretty weak, but we know he's all about stalling court cases. Makes more sense that there's something he's trying to keep buried.

•

u/NextGen-Panic 3h ago

She hated that motherfucker.

This is so stupid, we could have photographic and videographic footage in 8K of trump's myriad unspeakable reprehensible crimes and it could be plastered wall to wall on every screen that has ever exited and nothing would change.

What the hell is a bunch of hearsay going to do that that already existing hard evidence has not accomplished?!

68

u/Thornescape 8h ago

But imagine, just IMAGINE if there was photographic evidence of Trump storing boxes and boxes TOP SECRET DOCUMENTS in a bathroom and on a stage in Mar-a-lago??? Photographic evidence of a horrific felony! And proof that he REFUSED to return documents when they were demanded back???

Someone should be put in jail for decades for that kind of crime!!! /sad sigh

He's already openly committed enough felonies to be put away for several lifetimes. America is broken. There are no consequences. There were no consequences even before he became president the second time. There were no consequences before the Supreme Court declared him immune to prosecution.

What can she even reveal at this point that we don't already know? The corruption is so flagrant that it's blatantly waved in front of our faces while Republicans cheerlead it. Trump wants to bribe people with $5,000 checks, he bribes people with Obamacare refunds, and he bribes people with Medicare rebates. It's to the letter of the law illegal. He openly uses the White House for insider trading and he faces no consequences. He started a war without consent of congress, and even some Democrats like my own Senator make excuses for him. He's a rapist, he's a pedophile, and he's a warmonger. Like what the fuck could she know that we don't know that'll lead us "to where the bodies are buried"? Bullshit. She's just a grifter looking for payday. The administration just want to move past a story that will be forgotten by the media networks two days from now anyway, so they're gonna give her a cushy job at Shield of the Americas or some shit.

It’s incredible how desperate people are to latch onto the hope that someone on the right is going to save us from the right. Elon Musk literally posted that Trump was in the Epstein files, and everyone said the same thing then too - “he’s turned on Trump!” Then he redacted his post and apologized, and now he’s absolutely giddy about his new role as a dagger that Trump can stick in Zelensky’s back.

Kimberly fucking Guilfoyle is not our savior.

u/MCRN10379558 8h ago edited 3h ago

Did you hear why she was fired from Fox News?

Reportedly, she was sexually harassing a young male intern who was working there, whom she had the hots for.

The final straw came when she reportedly was drunk and walked over to the young intern’s desk and stripped all of her clothes off and demanded he critique her body.

Well, there was a complaint filed and it got back to Rupert Murdoch, who fired her. Fox paid nearly $5 million to the intern to settle the matter.

Edit: sorry folks, I was wrong. It was a female intern/assistant. The stripping part is true, just happened a little differently.

I’m gonna leave that up there to teach myself to be more careful. 🥴

I love that people don't know and are surprised by this; the Newsoms, both Catholic, were each others' first spouses, and she was the first lady of SF when they separated just after his election.  The given reason for their separation wasn't differing politics, but his being SF mayor while she pursued a media career outside of the Bay Area (as host of a NY-based Court TV show at the time).

Oh look, the 843rd Republican on the outs who is threatening to spill the beans on Trump now that she is no longer benefiting from being full blown MAGA and turning on Trump would now benefit her. And just like all the rest of them, she will and should be ignored by Democrats for being a complete waste of human life, and will likely be ignored by Republicans because she's on the outs from the party.

And just like Elon Musk and Michael Cohen, she will magically renounce all of this the nanosecond she is in Trump's good graces again. Probably by promising to give him his cut of whatever corrupt deals she makes in the future.

Remember how 95% of trumps WH admin did this, and nothing came of it anyways?

Why can’t they just say it without profiting off of it?

(I mean of course we know why, because he hires grifters like himself)

14

u/det0724 9h ago

Let's be honest if indisputable evidence came out that Trump was a provider and client of Epstein (as opposed to the merely overwhelming circumstantial evidence) 90% of his base would eventually come to the conclusion that "So what he touched some kids when he was a Democrat he's getting things done for the country." One of the few things Trump told the truth on was that he could shoot someone on 5th ave in NYC and his supporters would still love him.

There already is a burn book- it's called the Epstein Files

She’s smart… other than being so stupid that she got caught running her little corruption scam.

Reminds me of that comedy “Ladies First” where the sexist boss’ administrative assistant kept an “in case I get fired” document to which she’d add a line every time her boss did something HR-worthy.

I guess another pardon is coming.

I thought that already happened when they made her ambassador to Greece. She left the inner circle and they gave her a cushy position to keep her mouth shut.

I feel like just based on that, that they found an ambassadorship for junior’s ex, they want to maintain some sort of hold on her or encourage her not to turn against them. Unless of course she is extremely qualified for the ambassadorship, but what are the odds of that in this administration?

From credit card debt?

17

u/dmetzcher Pennsylvania 9h ago

That’s the thing, man…

Don’t get me wrong—$100,000 is a lot of money for most of us—but I’m always amazed to see how much people are willing to risk for relatively small sums of money.

Prison over a hundred grand? Fuck off—not worth it to me. I’d rather declare bankruptcy. The reward does not outweigh the risk, and the risk is high when you work for a scumbag administration being scrutinized by every member of the opposition party and the press.

14

u/nono3722 9h ago

100,000 is the tip of the iceberg if she was getting this sloppy.

8

u/AINonsense 9h ago

Yeh, but you probably don’t belong to class that believes the laws are for the little people.

The only real leverage this gives her is if she disseminates it to multiple outlets all at once-with proof. Keeping it hidden just puts a growing target on her back

u/nyybmw122 New York 9h ago

She won't turn on them.

This is just a call for a bribe or light threat to compensate her in some way for not talking/appeasement. These fucking alien lizards are fully onboard with this 4th Reich administration.

10

She like the rest of the GOP will never do the right thing. All of them are corrupt ghouls only out for themselves and the huge piles of cash they can grift from the American public.

Honestly this shit is tiring. We knew Trump was a rapist child predator and Jeffrey Epstein's best friend in 2016 and Americans have since voted for the guy twice.

There is no smoking gun. There's no information that will magically fix this.

America is broken because a significant majority of Americans literally don't give a shit that Trump rapes kids, and they've proven that twice.

I mean... so do we, this administration is awful at hiding it's crimes. It's just that nobody who can do anything about it gives a shit, apparently.

u/Bronco_Bomba 9h ago

Like it even matters at this point. His cult will never abandon him.

8

u/ddr1ver 8h ago

The Trump family is unburnable. If you are convicted of 34 felonies for fraud, brag on camera about sexual assaults, are found liable for sexual assault by a jury, your best friend is the world’s most notorious pedophile, multiple women accuse you of raping them when they were in their early teens, and you’re still elected president, what possible revelation could make a difference?

→ More replies (1)

•

u/CaptainDudley 7h ago

Well lemme see... We've got a twice-impeached president found guilty of multiple felonies who attempted an anti-American revolution by proxy and had no objections to his vice-president being executed; who's clumsily stored top secret government documents at home, some of which are missing; created masked secret police accountable to no one, who show up anywhere and snatch anyone off the streets; organized a network of concentration camps to send them to, then had their records deleted; started a war, for nothing; traded our national security to foreign powers, excluded the Press, and publicly stated that he can and will do anything he wants to do, at any time.

But Kimberly "knows where the bodies are buried". Yea, so do the rest of us. And...?

Have you noticed that so many news blurbs since 2016 are presented as if we don't remember anything beyond yesterday?

Yeah I’m not holding my breath. The wicked bitch still had no problems marrying in. And if she knows any of the real stuff we already know it’s way past pay off type material and more like mysterious death material.

7

u/Imaginary-Clock6626 9h ago

Who knew the windows at the top of Trump tower opened. Must be a design flaw.

8

u/Pickle01 8h ago

Bodies buried? The Trump family is literally committing crimes/corruption out in the open with little consequence. I hope they will eventually face consequences, but there’s a pretty good chance Trump pardons them all including himself

6

u/zubuneri 9h ago

Ugh. Giuliani said this years ago and nothing came of it

She's floating this out there as a veiled threat to stay in the Trump orbit.

Kinda who cares. We all know the family is corrupt, and they break the law multiple times daily in 4k. MAGA is still stupid and until the midterms nothing will change - and maybe after too depending.

She undoubtedly has an NDA. Breaking it means years of litigation with the Trumps. We’ll not see it except in convoluted, third person tidbits.

5

u/BallBearingBill 9h ago

Oh course she has dirt. You don't get that close to the family and not know the dirt. As if Don Jr could keep his mouth shut. But I'm certain they would have had her sign an NDA before she ever got that job in Greece.

Something, something, I’ll believe it when I see it.
