Review Loyalty Programs

Every chain has a rewards app now: McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Wingstop just launched Club Wingstop, etc. Which ones actually change your habits, and which do you just ignore?

Curious especially about Wingstop’s, since it’s newer. Anyone using it? Is it worth it compared to the others?

Rant/Rave Opinions on Fast Food After CEO Reviews

Not sure if it’s just me but I’ve been turned off of fast food ever since those videos of CEOs eating their products went viral. Many clips had cuts when the CEO was eating the food so you can’t tell if they actually swallow.

These videos made me really reflect about what these executives know or think of the food that they’re selling to all of us.

Don’t get me wrong, I love fast food and have ate it my entire life. But after seeing those videos, it really makes me think about the ingredients and slop that these fast food companies push on to us that we still eat. I’m sure they wouldn’t feed this stuff to their own kids.

Let me know if you think I’m being too skeptical or your opinions on this overall, I’m curious.

Arbys Arby's - Chicken Cheesesteak.

Post image
11 Upvotes

saw a reddit post saying it wasn't bad so I tried it. I avoided the half pound option because last time when I got half pound angus it was more of a glob.

Well, for sure personally, it's much better than the angus cheesesteak, and I'll choose this over that.

......unlike the angus (which I had to throw away), I finished this and it was decent. ...

I may try the other kinds....spicy and the deluxe.

Shake shack waste

Trained for an opening shake shack.

The food waste was insane, we did mock orders and threw away over 100 different burgers/ shakes and drinks. on the menu, mind you for our training to try the menu they gave us pieces of sandwiches, instead of full size ones. Next time I am gonna video definitely posting when I quit. They could’ve donated this food or offered it to the team. Shoot they could have even made us make the burgers and try the menu at the end of the shift with the shakes and drinks we made.

So sad considering how since the first day they’ve been talking about their emphasis on giving back to the community, the location is also in east meadow, New York. So many places in the area the food could have gone to.

I will be quitting, and I will be recording the waste to post on tik tok, for a second I thought they were a good company. But I should’ve known from the general manager talking about how he wants to crush the small burger joint sitting directly across it in its plaza.

And no I am not exaggerating it was over 100 burgers
And around 50 shakes/ and bacon and cheese fries.
I saw them take out 2 XL garbage bags filled with food.

Pollo loco rice and beans suck but they give you a lot of chicken. $14 in Los Angeles but I had a $10 coupon. I would have rather gotten a burrito.

Normally ordering individually this would run probably $15-18 for the two tacos, chips and salsa, and drink.

Rant/Rave How and why is Jack n the Box killing it?

In this economy how is Jack doing so well??

A Breakfast Jack combo is under $6 with tax. Drink, sandwich, and a damn good hash brown.

But the one that impresses me is the two monster tacos for $3. I don’t think there’s a better deal out there. No app required.

Yesterday I went out and started at Taco Bell, (had a craving).

No meximelts. They don’t participate in the app, so no Kevin hart deal, or any other deals, really. Got two taco supremes as requested by my partner, and two regular burritos for me. Stopped at jack for two tacos which are way better and way cheaper.

Got home and Taco Bell had given us regular non supreme tacos…. And they were all wet for some reason.

Tb, your days are numbered.

Question fast food workers shame customers??

( idk if this is the right subreddit ) but i’m always curious if people that work in fast food shame the people that eat where they work or their orders ? etc.

or make specific judgments simply based on them like “that’s why you eat at mcdonald’s” or yk? idk??

(weird bc i feeel like skinny people that eat fast food are not viewed the same as those that are overweight etc.)

… when subbing potato wedges for fries AND you really like fried potatoes. The other options are 2 wings, popcorn chicken or 1 strip, but I couldn’t find popcorn chicken near me. This is a nice diversion from all the sandwich/burger fast food chains, for me.

Question How often are stores flexible with you when it comes to personalizing rewards or offers at a price difference?

Allow me to explain, Dunkin usually has a $6 dollar meal deal with a breakfast item or sandwich and a iced or hot coffee. I know it has to be the regular ones and not the specialty coffees, but usually most stores would at least allow you to apply it to other items but you would pay up the difference to upgrade it. But my local Dunkin seemed very strict about this

Culvers Jalapeño Cheese Curds

Culver’s Jalapeño cheese, curds are back, and they are excellent! I had them for lunch and dinner yesterday. I know they won’t last long so I plan to take full advantage of them.

Culver’s offers jalapeño cheese curds every year, for a few short weeks only.

Rant/Rave Hardee's

I stopped by for breakfast and I went inside because I wasn't sure what I wanted, I spent almost 5 minutes before I finally asked one of the workers if they were only talking drive through orders because they were just completely ignoring me and then caught attitude from them, if it wasn't for the fact that I was hungry and really didn't have time to go elsewhere I would have left, but I can't see going back, or maybe I should and just go to the drive through and be as slow about it as possible.

McDonald’s What’s a McDonalds menu item that you’d like yo eat again if given the chance.

I really loved the chicken ala king in the Philippines. It’s basically a chicken that’s covered in this creamy sauce with rice. When I moved to another country I couldn’t find it anywhere so I was really disappointed, McDonalds is still good regardless just sad I couldn’t eat it anymore. I remember they hd this summer shrimp burger too that was popular while it was out, I tried it and it was super good but it was only on a limited time. I also remember them having sausage desal but it just disappeared out of the blue which sucked cause it was really good.

But I guess it’s too be expected since they localize products to fit the market. I really miss the chicken with rice in the Philippines, and also the gravy.

So what menu items do you guys want to try again if you could get the chance too?

Review Raising Cane's Chicken Sandwich

Post image
26 Upvotes

I enjoy Raising Cane's chicken fingers very much. I know a lot of people consider this chain overrated, but I have never had a bad meal from here since they opened close to my house. The menu lacks variety, but I would prefer a place do a few things well than a bunch of things mid. I usually get their finger meals but I decided to get just a chicken sandwich w/no fries. I was a bit skeptical about getting 3 fingers between buns, but you can't knock something until you try it. When I finally got it I was impressed by the size of this sandwich. $10 after taxes, so at least it felt like a good portion size. What I noticed was the lettuce was completely missing from my order (which I only knew because the picture on the menu clearly has this item with lettuce). But after thinking about it I realized I didn't need the lettuce and it would probably just make it more messy. After the first bite I took I was actually quite happy with this item. The chicken was hot, tender and nicely breaded. But more importantly the toasted bread itself was holding up perfectly well and had a nice buttery flavor to it. Not my favorite chicken sandwich in the world, but it's no slouch either. I do think it could have used more Cane sauce, but that's the worst complaint I had.

8/10

McDonald’s Are McNuggets tasting looking different??

Post image

Just ordered some McNuggets for the first time in a while and I took one bite and just felt like these don’t taste or even look like McNuggets I’ve had in the past. Did McDonald’s change their recipe or something?
