Apple Intelligence Siri is so bad at everything NSFW

• Upvotes

There's nothing like havin an iPhone in your pocket, an AWU at your wrist, headphones on and telling Siri to call someone, calling, talking, hanging up and then asking Siri to call another person inly to hear "You need to unlock your phone first!". Well, I choose to direct my anger and frustration at all the product managers, designers and programmers that have Apple stock and live their lifes in Silicon Valley luxury while being totally bad at their jobs.

Discussion HomeView will only allow CarPlay apps that are specifically for streaming audio or video

Apple quietly updated their CarPlay developer documentation to reference the new HomeView device. It will only support apps focused on streaming audio (e.g., Spotify) or streaming video (e.g., Netflix). It will not support apps for communications (e.g., WhatsApp), food ordering (e.g., DoorDash), or conversational AI (e.g., ChatGPT). Apple is enforcing this by requiring specific CarPlay entitlements for an app to run on the HomeView.

Maybe these restrictions will change down the road—I sure hope so—but flagging it now since folks are considering whether to preorder.

Apple Intelligence Does the Apple HomeView have the expressive voices?

I am just wondering because I couldn't really tell from the reveal if it had the same level of expressivity that the newest iPhones support.

Apple Intelligence Siri AI in EU, I’m getting tired

Because of the disagreements between Apple and the European Union, the final users are simply left out.

All the main features in these past releases are related to this new AI, but in the EU we just don’t have it. All the health new benefits of the Apple Watch, the new Siri, and now even a whole product, HomeView. We don’t have them.

So not only we’re paying so much more for the same devices (iPhone Duo 1999 USD in the US compared to 2700 USD in Italy), we’re getting half-baked products, and we can’t even say a thing because we have no word in this.

Moreover, even IF ever they release it, we still will have to wait an undefined amount of time for our native languages to be there for some reasons (all other AIs are compatible with any language, but Apple is just for English speaking people).

The situation is out of hand and I’m getting tired of this.
It truly feels like we’re forgotten and left out from innovation.

Any news as per October 2026?

Apple TV Apple TV and Homeview working with Facetime

Seems to me with the new Apple products released, Apple missed perhaps the biggest reason someone would buy these items.... Facetime. I want to be able to Facetime using my big TV. I know you can do that continuity camera stuff with Apple tv but that seems janky. Why could the Homeview not have a hdmi port so you could just set your tv to that and use the camera/mic and talk the the grandkids. Or have a camera/mic that is always set up on your Apple tv? So close to an ideal situation!
