iPhone 17 Trip to Palm Beach, Sydney

I bought the iPhone 17 in 2025 and was regretting my upgrade after the iPhone 18 camera features were released. My husband informed me of this app which was created by the guy who Apple took in for the iPhone 18 camera features. It basically has everything you need from ISO, WB, focus adjustments to Shutter Speed. I’m so glad I didn’t have to pay $1,000+ for a phone upgrade, just a yearly subscription to this app. I’ve been having so much fun at the images I can create I wanted to share here.

iPhone 17 Pro Max What’s your go-to camera app?

I don’t love that the stock app always adds a bit of HDR post-processing. What apps do you use daily?

Looking for some free or cheaper options without insane yearly costs

There’s a serious improvement in image quality from my 13 Pro Max. Very excited to have more time playing with the 18 PM. The bars are a patient subject, but I’m especially looking forward to trying out some portraiture.

I took a little road trip at the end of September and it gave me a chance to explore the new camera. I think it does very well overall. All photos were taken by hand, and lightly edited on the stock camera app. Photos are from Utah & Colorado. Let me know what you guys think!

Some recent night shots from the John Muir wilderness with the 10 second night setting. Light editing in the native photo app to bright out the blues a bit. Would love any tips and tricks for taking night shots on iPhones beyond just using night mode.
