i've been using the timer shortcut multiple times a day for multiple purposes, for years. my phone finally forced this update on me, and suddenly the shortcut is no longer a shortcut at all, but a button to open this incredibly inconvenient slider.
what's the point of this? it's just removing functionality for no real reason.

honestly i'd have thought the update messing with several of my pre-established accessibility settings would be the most irritating part of it, but no. it's whatever is going on with this supremely unhelpful shortcut-to-nowhere.

(apologies if this is too close to a rant/'i hate' post; as i said. i'm frustrated.)

It’s so bad in the past few months. Used to get a good selection of normal news headline articles from the major established news sources, now it just seems to have become endless stupid listicles from random sites, so many ads and not even any latest headlines. What has happened?

So I got an iPhone 16 and traded in my old one. My Microsoft Outlook authenticator app seems to be still attached to my old phone and I cannot get into my Microsoft 365 applications. Has anyone else had this problem and found the solution?

I’m seeing this toggle under my location services settings menu on my personal iPhone that I purchased directly from Apple. I never had an MDM profile on it. It was turned on by default and I turned it off. I do have 2 vpn profiles however so I wonder if it’s related to that. But I’m also concerned as my phone battery always had draining issues. Can someone pls comment on what this setting is?

Steps:

1. Swipe down to open Notification Center

2. Select a notification (in the video it's "AirPods Battery Low")

3. Swipe up from the bottom to go back to the Home Screen

What happens: The screen dims, the notification stays highlighted, and swiping up doesn't take me Home. I was stuck for about 12 seconds before it finally cleared and let me out.

Expected: Swiping up should go straight back to the Home Screen.

iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 27.0.1. I've reported it to Apple through Feedback.

I noticed that updating directly on the phone (OTA) downloads a much smaller file, whereas updating via iTunes on a PC downloads the entire IPSW package.

Is it generally better or healthier for battery performance and system stability to update through iTunes instead of OTA? Would love to hear your experiences!

I just noticed that some of my notes are missing. I have notes back to 2017 but some are randomly gone. I know I didn’t delete them. My iphone is turned on to sync notes. I turned on all my accounts. What can I do?

So I updated my iPhone and suddenly I had issues with charging it, i plug it in and it shows it charging, then two seconds go by and it says it not charging, yet the battery life doesn’t go down while it’s plugged in, then if I have it plugged in and shows it’s not charging I’ll force restart it and my battery is higher than it was so rn my phone is at 10 percent and it’s plugged in, now when I force restart it at about 11pm it will by my assumption will be at full battery and it’s not a chagrin port issue because my brother has his own cord, i plug it in there and it charges the whole time

I googled and have found no options that work to completely turn off the alert to “finish setting up your phone” and turn off the face id option? I dont want it snd dont need it. TIA

When someone with an android phone texts me an image, I first see a small thumbnail and the image name. When I tap on it to download it says “Unable to download image.” Sometimes then if I tap on it again it will download, but other times I have to force close the Messages app and try it again for it to download. This started happening when I was still on iOS 26 (I think I was on 26.7.1 when it started happening). Anyone know why it’s doing this and how to fix it?

What the hell is this bug😭😭 never seen this before

I've always had the Stocks view as showing percentage change. Out of nowhere, it switched to Market cap. Tapping on the market cap number does not cycle through percentage change, etc.

Every single thread I've searched about this issue says you should be able to tap to cycle through but tapping does nothing.

Anyone else have this issue and found a solution?

I deleted around 6000 photos a day ago, but they just came back. How do I get them gone again ? I don’t wanna have to go through all those photos again

Hi, I live in Australia and purchased a used iPhone 13. The seller did not inform me that this is a Japanese model, so the camera always makes an annoying sound when taking photos. It’s especially annoying when I’m at work taking photos of documents or at night. I’ve put in my Australian SIM card, and changed the location etc. how do I fix this or is it unfixable?
