Title: A friend gave me his leaking espresso machine. I opened the brew unit and found live worms inside.

He’d already bought a replacement, so I figured I’d try cleaning and fixing this Café Affetto.

While cleaning the removable brew unit, I took out the screws holding its gear cover. Underneath were tiny moving worms among the plastic gears and what looks like white lubricant.

This compartment was covered and screwed together. I don’t know what these are, how they got inside, or how long they’ve been there.

I was expecting a worn seal. I was not expecting tenants.

The fires are tied to intentional land-clearing (forest and peat land) for Palm oil plantations.

Skies have turned bright orange and deep red, with thick, toxic smoke swallowing towns, reducing visibility, and causing a spike in respiratory illnesses.

In Central Kalimantan, air quality has hit "dangerous" levels (with PM2.5 readings soaring past 3,300 in Palangkaraya). Schools in areas like Palangkaraya and Sampit have closed, and residents are urged to stay indoors.

The hazardous haze has drifted into neighboring Malaysia and Singapore, raising broader Southeast Asian environmental and health concerns.

Some context, our gates are pretty much broken, so the exit gate has been just left open. Not sure what happened, but was walking my dogs and came across this. Poor kid is definitely stressed, I feel for him.

he hit it pretty hard and bent up the gate quite significantly, everyone that lives here hates these gates anyways because they have never worked, have been inconsistent, and it was just a matter of time before they get either torn down entirely or replaced with something else, guess this is a good excuse for something to change.

considering there's scrapes on both sides, I assume the gate closed on him, but I really don't know. the gate has been left open for weeks now.

I stream as well so i imagine that everything for that is generated as well since they all came from the same person, if your a content creator check every thing sent to you if its made from gen ai

My told me we had gotten a delivery when we were gone to my brothers enjoying Thanksgiving. 🤷‍♂️

Pretty awful week for my dad. First he broke his raybans, then the transmission started leaking, then finally the car getting lit up after brake cleaner was used for some reason while the car was still hot after it got fixed up.

I can not be bothered to make another burger so I’mma eat it raw (pause). I got a strong immune system, Salmonella be damned.
