I have ripped a pair of jeans just bending over to pick something up at work before and I instantly thought of this exact episode. Luckily I delivered pizza at the time so I just stopped by my place to change on my next delivery.
Get a package of one gallon or larger ziplock bags the good kind with a slider thing to close them .
The most important ziplock is the one you keep in center console of your vehicle or in glove box , this is the puke ziplock , if you have kids 100% kid will puke in your car especially if itās brand new , or if you have to drive home drunken friend you want a ziplock, the other ziplocks are for one pair of old pants another for old jacket or hoodie.
Just press as much air out of the bag and zip shut throw in back of vehicle.
A dollar store rain poncho is good to have, Iāve never needed mine but itās an in case .
If you drive an old beater car rinse out two soda bottles and fill with water if you overheat wait for radiator cap to cool then you can use the water to get off to somewhere safe to get help , this one I did use once years ago
Garden State Parkway in NJ you can only get a tow to nearest exit and was an expensive tow , I used the water trick and got off nearest exit myself.
Tuck your shirt in and pull it through the hole. Thatās what I did in 1st grade when I ripped the back of my shorts on the playground. I donāt think anyone noticedā¦
Built in AC pants is what i call em. Almost all my pants have done this, throw on some sheath breathable undies and enjoy your summers at work a little more
This is why you should always stash away a pair of backup pants at your workplace. If you have access to your car, you can just leave them in the back seat or trunk for emergencies. Otherwise, you can stash them in a desk or work locker.
Ah, I had that once. Worked parcel delivery. Was getting loaded and stepped over some parcels into the van for some sacks to separate my drops inside the van. Ripped my trousers right up the entire seam of my arse.
Never used company uniform, to that point. But immediately went to ask for a pair of trousers to change into.
Duct tape will hold up surprisingly well. Just tape both sides of the rip and make sure you use enough so it has plenty of non-holy pant material to grab on to. It will make it through your shift. Hell Iāve had pants Iāve repaired this way that survived multiple wash cycles after.
This happened to me my freshman year of high school because I had super tight skater jeans and I was kissing a girl. A rumor started around the school that I had a massive dong. I didnāt fight the rumor lol
This has happened to me twice at the same job. First time I asked if I could go home and get a new pair of pants. Told I couldn't and was given an apron to wear. Second time it happened, I told them that I refused to work until I got a new pair of pants. They let me leave.
Couldnāt pant makers reinforce the Inseams with small pieces of leather and make them basically last forever?!
My mother used to sew and do upholstery stuff as a hobby. When I was a teenager, she would take my new jeans and reinforce the inseams at the crotch. She did it on my khakis too.
