We had 8 dates and numerous video calls over the course of a month. Started very hot and heavy. Then she got sick, and our conversations fell of a cliff. I kept messaging and checking on her at intervals without getting much in return. Called her out on it two weeks later to get some clarity, and she said she had been talking to someone else and the little time she has had from being sick, she chose to invest in that person. And that she still wanted to see me.

I told her to really think about it as she has consciously chosen to spend time with the other person even when she was sick, knowing fully well I was available. And this is the ensuing conversation after she thought over it.

While sad, it is what it is with dating. It’s also about lucking out on timing, and you can’t do much if someone else comes along.

I found one in the wild!

My kid started kindergarten this year and told me she has no friends. She said the other kids don’t want to play with her and tell each other not to talk to her. She says she plays alone on the playground and even though they eat lunch at the same table, nobody wants to talk to her.

They’re doing spirit week at school and one day is Twin Day. She asked a few kids if they wanted to twin with her and they all said no. Why is there even such a thing as Twin Day? I feel like it makes kids feel excluded.

I reached out to the school and her teacher said she asked my kid, and my kid said everything was fine and she was happy. I explained that my kid doesn’t open up often and she probably didn’t feel comfortable telling her. I never got a response back even though I was told they would follow up with me.

I am so heart broken. My kid is the only child, and her dad and I are divorced. I raised her to be strong and outspoken as I feel like she will need to be in this world, but now I feel like I did too much and she is not liked by others. I don’t know what to do, or if I should even do anything at all and let her figure it out.

Ich wollte gestern ganz entspannt nach meiner 12 Stunden Nachtschicht mein Motorrad waschen fahren.

Ich fahre aus meiner Tiefgarage raus um die erste Kreuzung und sehe schon eine Riesige Traube an Menschen (wohne in der City) um ein Auto an der Kruezung stehen.

ich Filtere durch den ganzen Stau um zu schauen was passiert ist und sehe jemanden unter dem Auto liegen der offensichtlich bewusstlos ist...

Also (leider) nochmal back 2 Work (Bin Pflegefachkraft) und vom Bike abgestiegen um erste Hilfe zu leisten.
Aber anstatt das irgendjemand mal was tut (bspw Stabile seitenlage und co) stehen alle nur wild rum und zücken ihre Handy´s UM VERFICKT NOCHMAL ZU FILMEN.

Nachdem ich also meine Ersthelfer raus gepickt hatte kam die ansage (weil beine unter Auto eingeklemmt und mein "Patient" ausm Mund Blutet und sowohl A als auch D Problem hat [ABCDE- Schema]) die Beine unterm Reifen zu befreien (Füße waren sowieso gebrochen, aber die können zumindest noch heilen, anders siehts aus wenn er mir weg stirbt).

Währendessen ich also den ganzen Bullshit Manage merke ich wie konstant Handys auf mich gerichtet sind, und als ob das schon nicht genug ist WILL SO EIN DRECKIGER HUNDESOHN MEIN MOTORRAD KLAUEN.

Beim 1. Mal wo ich gemerkt habe das er an meinem Bike rumfummelt und vorallem an meinem Schlüssel, habe ich ihn schon lauthals angeschrien "PFOTEN WEG VOM BIKE ANSONSTEN HABEN WIR GLEICH NOCH NEN VIEL GRÖßERES PROBLEM!" darauf kam erstmal keine reaktion und er machte weiter, danach wurde ich aber mal sehr sehr laut sodass ich aufeinmal die ganze aufmerksamkeit aller leute im Radius von ca 20 Metern hatte und ihn alle leute anschauten.
Hiernach verkroch er sich in die Crowd an leuten um auch einer derjenigen zu sein die das ganze Filmten.

Gott sei dank war unter den passanten die zufällig so wie ich unterwegs waren auch ein Notarzt der dann (gott sei dank) für mich übernommen hatte, sodass ich mich darum kümmern konnte das alle leute die mit dem shit nichts zu tun hatten weg schicken konnte.
Hierbei wurde natürlich auf die bitte zu gehen nicht reagiert, also nochmal schön in kräftiger stimme "ALLE DIE HIERMIT NICHTS ZU TUN HABEN WEG, HANDYS AUS UND ANDERE RICHTUNG GEHEN UNZWAR SOFORT!".

Nachdem also eine deutlich beherzter ansage kam, kamen die leute auch dazu wieder in ihre Geschäfte zu gehen als auch die Straße auf und ab.

Ich raffs einfach nicht wie dreist man sein muss um:

1. Die ganze scheiße mitm Handy zu Filmen
2. Versuchen mein Motorrad zu klauen
3. Auf ansagen erst reagiert wenn man sichtlich sieht das jemand mal ganz hoch fährt und nicht mehr Freundlich ist

Gedigendes FICK DICH, an alle leute die einfach nur rumstanden und Gefilmt haben!

Props gehen aber raus an die ersthelfer die auch nen Guten Anruf bei der leistelle gemacht haben denn es kam 1 Löschzug +3 RTW´s + 2 NEF´s inkl anschließend (Leider) noch ein RTH.
Aktueller zustand: Lebensgefährlich verletzt, aber noch am Leben.

EDIT: ich möchte mich hier absolut nicht in den Mittelpunkt stellen, mir geht hierbei explizit eher darum Awarness zu schaffen in solchen Situationen (auch wenn man kein Erste Hilfe kann) zu Handeln!
Auch das man bspw. ein Gesamtblick der Situation behält (wie in dem Fall das man mein Motorrad klauen wollte) und Rettungsmittel einweist.

Hinzu kommen kommentare wie "Das gewohnte Stadtbild also?". Bitte unterlasst solche Kommentare, auch wenn ich selber sagen muss das ich (Trotz meines Berufes was eine Ironie) Menschen auch nicht mag und diese hier völlig Fehl am Platz sind.

THE IDEA

Create a Temporary Ceasefire major map condition. Put it in the rotation with other major map events. Keep the loot super limited: no items beyond blue (rare) quality. Increase the arc presence. You can do your quests and hunt arc, but you can't gain a big power advantage.

THE REASONING

Why this, instead of an always-available PvE mode? Low-risk raiding should be a reprieve; a small treat. Not the standard.

If you remove most of the risk, you remove most of the reward. The danger is the whole point in a game like this.

Without danger, we lose lose the serendipity. You don't need to make friends or find out who people are and what they're up to. You don't have the little moments like accidentally shooting someone and then trying to make it up to them. Or the dilemma of deciding whether to defib a stranger who could be an adversary.

PvE also removes a lot of hard and soft gaming skills. I don't have to mind my aim in order to stay friendly. I don't have to say "Hey I'm friendly, what's up dude." There's no more flashlight friend-or-foe indicator. The sound of a powerful weapon no longer gets my hackles up. I don't need to listen for footsteps.

Lastly, open PvE could wreck the economy. You shouldn't be able to free-farm materials.

Adaptive matchmaking works. If you've earned your way deep into the friendly ranks, you can play all evening without getting shot at. This should suffice for most dads and uncles. But the risk is always there in the back of your mind.

And for those that need a boost now and then, we have a rotating Temporary Ceasefire map condition.
