Discussion So like, what's the deal with this sub and genderfluid people?

I've noticed none of the posts about genderfluid individuals find traction at all, and there isn't a genderfluid flair or anything.

As someone who currently identifies as genderfluid I am wondering why this is. Does this sub just have less genderfluid people in it?

Trans Feminine I am a trans woman, but I want male things

I feel weird for even thinking this is a bad thing, but at my core, I know what my values are. I want to have a wife and I want to have kids in my life. But I am still a trans woman. I know a lot of people would use that against me, but those are my core value mixed with who I want to be. Does that make me less valid? Or weird? Or anything?

Edit: I know wanting a family isn't a "male" thing, it's just one of those things that people would SAY it is

Discussion Is it weird to want to be a woman, but not really wanting to be trans?

It’s mostly like I’m afraid of the in between and I feel that the end result would be lackluster for what I want to be, like if I could just be an afab that would be the perfect world

Edit: I suppose I should reword this, I am mostly afraid of starting the process and feeling the want to go back at any point, and I say endpoint because I really do not want male genitalia, however bottom surgery as it is right now is not at a point where I’m comfortable making that decision

Vent I don’t want to live like this anymore

I just can’t live as him anymore. Every day at work feels like wearing a mask that is glued on my face like superglue and it’s hard to get it off at home or online. I also have to wear the mask with family and it’s so draining. I fucking hate pretending to be Thomas and pretending that I like being him and I am happy as him when I really am fucking not. I just feel my mental health isn’t well when I am alone as I feel a big void in myself that I unsuccessfully fill with fandom or art or whatever and it is always empty. Last week was the third anniversary I came out to parents and really realized I’m a woman and I still struggle even after therapy and meds.

I feel like I’m at the point where I feel distant and disconnected from myself and it’s hard to ground my mind in my body. It’s even hard to have personal relationships as everyone just sees me as a confused guy and addresses me as such even when I say I’m not comfortable with dude or sir or man. I absolutely hate them people say “why not be a feminine man?” when I’ve tried it and it never clicks. I’ve just accepted after five years of being attracted to men and years before that trying to be into women that I’m not a straight guy. even if I turn out to be a gay guy it’s isolating with all this gooner slop and straight men talking about women and crushes that I don’t experience and it’s alienating.

As a straight woman I feel ashamed and awkward competing myself to my mom and sister as I’ll never be an actual woman like they are. I’ll never be a real mom or make breast milk or wear pads or pee sitting down without my thing down there. It’s not that the label is the role feels wrong it’s just that I feel shame about being one and talking up space in women’s spaces.

I wish I had breasts and a female parts and feminine dress without my mom ranting about how nervous she is and my sister being upset that I’m not her brother. This shit takes up so much mental space and it’s hard to distract myself from the fact that it’s either deal with being a man at home or be myself and suffer the consequences at home or work.

Discussion What is happening between enbies and trans people..?

I’ve seen on twitter so many posts of trans people claiming that non-binary people are somehow trying to claim problems trans women have to themselves and “wash down their struggles”.

Not to state that this scenario is absolutely impossible, but at least i have never seen that happening?

Sometimes i think that after transphobes we are our worst enemies, what is this bickering for the title of “the most oppressed group” and why is it so necessary to fight with each other when both non-binary people and trans people are oppressed?

All being said, it’s not really surprising to see this kind of content on twitter but still it’s kind of disturbing.

Trans Feminine Is breast size genetic, and if so does that also hold true for MtF people or only cis girls?

15mtf, hoping to maybe go on estrogen soon. Only problems are Im not out to my parents yet, idk how easy it'll be to get estrogen in Michigan as a minor, and the main problem, im worried they'd be too big. (not to be weird, but) My mom had to have a breast reduction when she was younger because they were too big and hurt her back and were hard to manage, and I'm worried the same would happen to me if I went on E. Is that a reasonable fear, or would that not be passed down to me?

Possible Trigger Episode of a show has a transphobic description - Can I report it?

I'm trans ftm, and I've started to watch a show on Disney+ called The Good Doctor cause I've watched clips of it, and I heard good things about it. So far, it's been living up to my expectations, but I just got to episode 14 of season 1, which is about a cancer patient who's a trans girl. Instead of wording it that way, it says, "identifies as a girl, but is male." Which is absolute crap cause she's not male at all. I'm really upset cause I like this show, but I don't wanna continue supporting anything that's transphobic. Is there any way I can send a report to Disney+ about this, and they could change it?

Advice Travelling to any middle eastern country

Trans guy here, 9 years on T and had top surgery. I pass very well, my passport says male and im from Australia. I feel really really upset that it seems like I am never able to travel to Dubai or a number of countries. Anything I research says I should just avoid all of those countries altogether including stop over flights. Has anyone had experiences of it being fine? Or is everyone going to say I just have to accept it and never take the risk?

Edit: I just want to add that im curious about a number of countries not just dubai and I am human. I want to see the world, explore different cultures, history and landscapes like most people do. So im checking in for advice not asking to be slammed about my curiosity.

Am I trans? I get dysmorphia

When I see men or boys in general I get this gut wrenching burning pressure in my chest. Ever since I've been a kid I have always envied or wanted to be friends with boys in my class but im the type to keep to myself and only be surrounded by female friends, I never talk to guys.

I used to see boys run home after school and I used to get jealous and I dont know why.

I've got a body on the more feminine side and I remember wanting to get breast reduction surgery ever since I was a preteen.

I dont get it. I know im not trans but also definitely not mind being the other gender

Vent Cis people need to stop making trans rights about themselves

I feel like cis people are divided into a loud minority that actively wants us dead, a majority that are passively transphobic, and then the rest being genuine allies. That majority is starting to piss me off.

A trans person will fight for their rights, and a cis person will cry that their free speech is violated. A trans person will try to talk about their issues, and a cis person will claim cis is a slur. A trans person will complain about cisnormative society, and a cis person will say "not all cis people".

**Trans rights are not about cis people.** Us having rights does not affect them.

This also has a lot of overlap with other types of bigotries.

Every so often a subreddit I'm on has a pro trans post, and about half of these end up filled with cis people crying discrimination because we... what? want respect and human rights? Give me a fucking break.

Possible Trigger What is with people and trans athletes?!

Man, this year’s ballot has some disappointing measures. I live in Colorado and there were TWO measures asking about banning trans athletes from sports, doing genetic testing, etc. It’s extra disappointing since Colorado is a more progressive state. And to read these when I’m just discovering my trans identity, ugh.

Advice Is Ireland trans friendly?

I am a college student in the U.S. My university has a study abroad program in Ireland this summer that I am considering. I know nothing about Ireland and if it is trans friendly and if it would be a good place for a trans person to visit. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Trans Feminine Need Resources About Progesterone and Transitioning

Hi all! As the title reads, I'm wanting some resources about Progesterone and its effects on trans women. I've asked about starting Progesterone at the clinic I go to for my Transition, but the doctor I mainly see said that she doesn't know too much about its effects on trans women, but would be willing to prescribe it to me if I could provide her some. This is particularly important because I'd much rather not go down the route of having my Spiro bumped up from 100mg back to 200mg, as the weekend that happened was one of the worst I've had this whole year. Any articles on the subject would be immensely appreciated!

Discussion [JOKE POST] Manifesting testosterone or estrogen WORKS???

NOW HEAR ME OUT. I'm a FtM person (genderfluid) who has never taken HRT, but I've found that merely MANIFESTING testosterone has changed me??? My voice has gotten deeper— SURELY from the manifestation and not all the voice tutorials!! My body has changed as well, and we don't need to look at my new gym membership to know that it has NO RELEVANCE, and all the muscle has come from manifesting my testosterone and manliness. Even my demeanour has shifted since I started manifesting T, and now I walk like one of the bros. No need to look at my youtube tutorial history, cause its all from the manifestation!

Heh. *Looks pointedly at audience reading this* Surely *Wiggles eyebrows* You all can attest to this working? Any of my fellow un-HRT babes wanna share how their hormone manifestation helped them, and *discreetly wiggles eyebrows* what things they certainly did not use, cause the manifestation works so well?

(THIS IS A JOKE POST, NOTHING STATED IS SCIENCE OR FACT, IT'S PURELY FOR SHARING SILLYNESS AND HUMOUR)

Advice Puberty Blockers for Trans Son

Hi,

Like i said in the title, I have a trans son who is 14. Unfortunately I live in Texas and I'm not able to get him any type of care until he's an adult. At the moment he's still incredibly skinny but I know once puberty starts hitting harder and he fills out more in "feminine" ways it's going to hit him hard.

All of this to say that I want to start looking into getting him puberty blockers. I know that New Mexico does them for teens and I live only an hour away from New Mexico. So I was thinking we could see someone over there for his appointments. My question is if anyone knows if this is even possible? Would I be able to find a doctor for him? If so, how do I even go about that?

Thanks for any help!

Advice How to get over the "it's like my child is dead" thingy that parents do?

Hello. I'm a trans man, and I tried discussing transitioning and HRT to my mother today— for some context, I had already discussed gender dysphoria when I was around 13, and obviously I wasn't taken seriously, and I hoped with the years she would actually believe me.

Well, she did in a way, and it ended up with her sobbing and telling me how it felt like her daughter had died and just how I could never understand just the pain she felt for having two transgender children.

It did get to me. I really do love my mom, and seeing her feel this way about me is incredibly painful, it feels like I'm no longer her child anymore. I feel like I ruined everything between us, and I really don't know what to do to fix it or to just feel better about it.

I know this is not an original transgender experience, so if anyone has gone through this, I'd really appreciate some advice on how to get through this.

Trans Feminine Underwear help?

Hi! I’ve recently discovered that I am mtf and would like to buy women’s underwear/clothing. I was just wondering if there’s any underwear that isn’t like tucking? Like it’s just wider in that area to be “normal” underwear without it being like tight for tucking/gaff? If there’s any website or brand recommendations please let me know, thank you! :3

Vent Never having a female childhood (MTF)

I’m turning 18 very soon and I’m closeted. I never got to have a childhood as a girl and I never will. I’ve known I was trans since I was around 13 but couldn’t do anything because of my transphobic parents. For these past 5 years I’ve had to watch as my childhood slips away from me, as a persona steals it from me, never for me to have.

I know being 18 is still very young but I still won’t be able to come out for some time. Regardless, that major part of my life will never exist now.

I didn’t even get 1 day of my childhood as a girl 🥲
