I wanted to wait for the 20th anniversary but the 12 pro isn't holding anymore. But damn this 18 is beautiful.

Loving the combo of Black 18 Pro and Sheath Almandine. I love both versions but that Open Sheath is something else. It’s my first time using the Open version since plateau was introduced and it reminds of OG Sheath.

That said I’ll be using both in my rotation for different occasions. Precise for extra protection and peace of mind.

This year’s Sheaths are of top notch quality.

Question iPhone Battery Drain

I feel like I should be getting more battery with my iPhone 18 Pro? I’ve had it for almost a month now so indexing should be done by now. Wondering if this is normal or if I might have a dud battery?

Thanks in advance.

Discussion What's the first thing you do with a new iPhone?

Got my new one this past thursday afternoon, and before i'd even touched iCloud, step one was peeling the factory film and getting a screen protector on – maybe 30 seconds apart! (my record is 3 cracked screens in 10 years and i have never once lined one of these up straight by hand... so i wasn't gambling this time, there was an anker tempered glass screen protector out on the counter ready to go, this one comes with an alignment frame that clicks over the phone + auto dust removal) Here's hoping this screen outlives the last 3!

Then the settings round. Keyboard clicks: gone. Haptics: on. Action button now does the flashlight. Raise to Wake got shut off too, since my screen lighting up everytime i roll over in bed is a hard no!! Always on display off as well – and about a week later i'll cave and switch it back on, same as every year!!

Discussion Privacy Screen Protector Recommendation

• Upvotes

Tried a cheap Amazon privacy protector on my iPhone 18 PM and noticed colour distortion and reduced brightness.

Switched to the expensive Belkin Titan SmartShield Pro Bright Privacy Protector and was genuinely surprised. Much clearer, brighter, less glare, same privacy angle, and Face ID works perfectly.

Only downside is the unnecessarily complicated applicator.

My iPhone 15 Pro Max, which I've used for 2 years and 8 months, is about to be retired. Thanks 15promax😀

Replace it with 18promax and choose Glacier Blue.

Help 18 Pro vs Pro Max?

I’m upgrading from an iPhone 11 and I’m really torn between the 18 Pro and Pro Max. I’m set on the burgundy colour. I checked out both in the Apple Store.

Dimension-wise, I know the Pro is supposedly slightly bigger or at least comparable to the iPhone 11, but when I saw it in person, it just felt so small and boxy I also wasn’t the biggest fan of how it looked when I saw it in other people’s hands.

On the other hand, I absolutely loved the burgundy Pro Max in person. It looked so much more premium to me, and less boxy. I just preferred its overall look and feel.

My main concern is practicality. I’m worried the Pro Max might end up inconvenient to carry around in my pockets/bag. I really don’t want to end up regretting the size!

The other option is to just hold on to my iPhone 11 for now and wait for Apple’s 20th-anniversary iPhone in 2027, especially since my current phone is still holding up fine. Part of me wonders if that might be a more worthwhile upgrade, but obviously there’s no guarantee it’ll be anything special.

Any advice from anyone who recently got the pro/promax or anyone who ended up switching between the 2?

Thanks!

Question My 15 Pro is dying: 18 Pro or 18 Pro Max? (and Glacier or Silver?)

• Upvotes

My iPhone 15 Pro (128GB, white) is on its last legs. The touch screen stops responding most of the time, I can’t pick up calls because the screen won’t register my swipe, I can’t even slide to power off, and the battery needs servicing. My coverage has expired, so the Apple Store suggested upgrading instead of paying for repairs.

Now I’m stuck between the 18 Pro and the 18 Pro Max.

A bit about me:

  • I’m used to smaller phones, like my 6.1" 15 Pro and the 13 mini
  • I use my phone without any case or screen protector
  • I also carry a work iPhone 16 sometimes (like < 50%), so already feels like juggling two phones
  • After dealing with a worn-out battery, I’d love something that easily lasts the whole day
  • I don’t take many photos. My phone is mostly for calls, texts, videos and social media

From what I have read, the chip and cameras are the same on both this year, so it comes down to size, weight and battery. Part of me wants the Pro for the size, part of me wants the Max for the battery, but 249g sounds like a lot coming from a lighter phone.

For those who’ve used them:

  1. If you moved from a 6.1" phone to the 18 Pro Max, did you get used to the weight or regret it?
  2. 18 Pro owners, does the battery get you through a full day comfortably?
  3. Glacier or Silver in person? My 15 Pro is white, so Silver feels safe, but Glacier looks so pretty in photos.

Would love to hear your experiences!

It’s Here! Battery is great but the display is surprisingly better too

Upgraded from the 16 Pro to the 18 Pro, and I’m loving the improvements to the camera, battery life and thermals.
Interestingly, the display is also a noticeable upgrade for me. I know the specs are essentially the same on paper, but I’ve always found the 16 Pro’s display a bit too yellow. The 18 Pro’s screen looks much more neutral to my eyes.
It’s a shame only a couple of YouTubers seem to have mentioned this, because the display genuinely feels like an upgrade to me!

Question Battery

Post image
1 Upvotes

I was just wondering if this is normal for a brand new iPhone 18 PM. I’m at 54% at 8:21pm. This is still better than my 13 PM was because it needed a new battery but I thought I would have more at the end of the night. I haven’t even had it a week yet. I charge it to 95% at night.

I just got it on Saturday. Manufactured in August 2026. I feel like the battery isn’t nearly as good as my girlfriend’s 17 pro max.

Help Battery Usage 18pm

Hi

I got the 18 pro max coming from a 14 pro, how do y'all get 2 days of use the 18 pro max its 8:52 for me, charged it to 95% yesterday night and I'm already at 17% after a full day at uni. I feel like smth is wrong with the battery, I did not transfer any data from my previous phone and basically did a fresh start so it cannot be indexing.

For reference I have 10h of total screentime today (I'm a very productive student as you can see)
mostly videos and short content, and it drained 79% of my battery, I did not use cell data since I was on campus wifi. and I've had the phone for a week now.
