Title!

My 18PM fell out of my hands yesterday, flat down on the screen. Thankfully, the screen protector absorbed all the damage. The screen is totally fine.

Massive upgrade internally makes this phone really feel like a huge upgrade, despite the back looking the same. This is an amazing phone. Apple did well.

Is it just me or yall like me can’t wait until Apple get out this phase !

I’m so stuck on the colors.. I wanna order but idk which one to get..

which one did you get and why?

If you didn’t get one, which do you prefer?

1) Burgundy / Black (tie)
2) Blue (because it different)
3) White (nice, but just ‘basic’)

I’m really interested in seeing people’s reviews in the next 3 months

I love black but I am worried about the scuff and scratches showing silver. But I also like silver because it’s classic and scratches and scuffs won’t show as much. 😅 I carry my phones caseless.

Burgundy was nice in pictures but didn’t like it much in person so I exchanged it for silver. So clean!
Also first time downsizing from Pro Max to regular Pro, loving it so far.

What happened is that after I picked it up on the 18th of September , everything was going well and the phone performance was great, but after 2 days i opened Safari and went to private the app tell me to set a face ID , when i clicked yes the face ID emotion in the top of the screen freeze and 2-3 seconds after the phone shut down by itself , i reopen it and everything was running normal, but i asked AI and it tell me the phone may have a software/system issue , I booked an appointment the same day with a specialist at apple , and he tested it and confirm the issue , and got me the typical new phone .

It takes about 10-15 minutes there
And they where so friendly and professional .

If someone wondering I upgraded from iphone 11 to 18 pro max .

Pre ordered the 18 pro in burgundy. Used it for a week, no complaints on the phone but the fingerprints was atrocious. Ended up returning it and getting the glacier. No regrets there and the blue is honestly so nice in person. Did anyone else end up exchanging the colours, If so what was the reason?

Maybe a 3-4 foot drop off of the armrest of my couch and onto hardwood floor, (TineeOwl case shown at the end) - I always knew the new aluminum frame was fragile after what I’ve seen from the 17 Pro’s release, so I took the precaution of not using the Apple Cases and getting something decently protective.

Yeah, the aluminum corner still bent ever so slightly 😂, coming from a titanium 16 Pro Max I had no idea how to gauge the softness of this new material, but damn.

I personally don’t care as I was planning to use the phone caseless with AppleCare+ anyways, but I wanted to warn some of the OCD users on here, even with a case, the aluminum frame on these new builds can get damaged, just fyi.

I just listed my 18 Pro Max for sale on Swappa. It’s heavy!! My Pinkie isn’t strong enough 🥹

i’m coming from a base model iPhone 13 with a battery health of 80% 😭

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. My 18 pro max finally came on Tuesday, and was working great up until yesterday. Woke up to it on the white recovery mode screen. Ran through all the options numerous times and nothing worked, had to factory reset and then it was fine for the rest of the day.

Woke up today, recovery mode screen again. This time I just did the restart option and it worked. Few hours later, happened again and nothing would fix it. Took it to the Apple store near me, was there for 2 hours while they tried to restart, reinstall ios before finally attempting to completely wipe the phone. They weren't able to do any of these, and they said it's an issue with the new ios update on the 18's. Nothing they could do. Apparently I was the third person there today that came in with the same issue.

Worst part is there was no stock, so they just refunded me and I'm back on my 12 after waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive. They said they can't order me a replacement unit, I have to just go online and try to find one in stock again. Overall terrible experience tbh, but just thought I'd make a post and see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Not a review just some of the things I noticed compared to the 17 Pro.

The color: Beautiful, as soon as I first saw it Immediately yes. I remember wanting a jet black iPhone 7 Plus due to how deep the black was. This is as close as it gets and it’s an absolute beauty to look at.

C2 Modem: Definitely an improvement in low signal areas coming from the X80 on the 17 Pro. I have Verizon for reference. I actually get consistent 1-2 bars of 5GUW signal in there compared to constant 1 bar of LTE and occasionally UW. Definitely more confidence in using it in less than ideal signal strength areas.

Battery life: I’m ending days with above 60% compared to 40-50% on the 17 pro.

The two cases I’ve been using the most is the MNML case and the Dbrand Ghost. I’m definitely will be keeping the MNML. Prefer the grip of it and also it having a thicker screen lip makes me think less of potential screen damage. Do wish the Ghost’s screen lip was thicker especially from the sides but it’s still a solid clear case alternative.

Might do a month review of it. Need to play around with the manual controls and variable aperture on the camera. So far these are my impressions after a week.
