Dating Question Seeing more than one person casually?
I realise this is a moral or ethical question and I probably should just trust my gut on this, but I wanted to ask…
I (31F) went on a few dates with a guy (32M) and we’re pretty compatible in terms of humour, hobbies and sociopolitical viewpoints. Turns out we’re not compatible in the long term, which is rough because there’s sexual chemistry.
Initially, I considered something casual with him, but I’m finding it hard to take the plunge when I already have a FWB on the side.
The situation with the FWB is pretty complicated, but there’s no future in that one beyond friends. I don’t know why I feel scummy about having more than one sexual relationship at a time?
My main qualms that I can identify is feeling like my home will become a halfway house, and feeling bad for my pets who will be exposed to a stranger and will need to adapt to them being around (I have an anxious dog).
At the same time as feeling like the sex would be amazing, I also feel like I’d be feeling a bit yuck in the days following.
Do I just take my reluctance to mean it’s not for me?
