Lately there have been numerous folks messaging us because they cannot comment on their profile review submission. If you're having issues commenting on your profile review submission to answer the Automod comment questions:
First, make sure you are replying to the post and not the Automod comment reply. The Automod comment is locked, and as the instructions state you have to reply to your post with the answers to the 8 questions.
Then, try using Reddit in another browser or device. This has seemed to solve the problem.
If you are still having issues, know that this is a Reddit problem and not ours. You may need to just wait it out until Reddit is not buggy. If your post is removed for not answering the questions in a timely manner, it is not a big deal and please do not reply to us with any rudeness. We have to keep the queue moving. You can always resubmit and it is not an issue if you have to submit multiple times. Be sure to read any rejection message you receive.
General Reminders: When you are submitting a post please make sure you have included all six photos and three prompts. If you have a video in one of your photo slots, then just take a screenshot of the still. Screenshot your poll if you have it. You are allowed to censor your information such as your name, location, job, etc, but we do not accept submissions if your face is censored. Crop your screenshots correctly so that the screenshot is just of Hinge (Please see this post if you are unsure what this means), and from the "View" and not "Edit" (we don't want to see grids on the images). Double check that your answers to the Automod comment are answering ALL the question. There are 8 questions total, and people tend to get caught on the "how long your current profile has been active" / "how long you've been on Hinge" - those are two separate questions.
Please comment kindly if you have any profile submission questions, and have a great day!

30M and back on Hinge again over these past 3 weeks ā one thing Iāve noticed is how normal it is for people to unmatch after the first few messages, or even after days of back and forth conversation. It especially sucks when youāve matched with someone and begin to make plans, or have some sort of conversation before an expected meet up, only to be unmatched out of the blue..
Iād like to think Iām pretty conversational and Iāve had success being myself in terms of being communicative. Donāt know if itās something Iām doing so I donāt want to take away from that idea that I might be coming off strong or am the problem in these situations.. at the same time, I feel like there are so many people on these apps with zero interest/intention of dating. One of the dates Iāve had this past month felt like the person had no interest/experience with dating when we met in person, so I wasnāt surprised to see I was unmatched shortly after we met up.
Iām starting to feel convinced that itās better to keep all convos to a bare minimum on the apps, until thereās a chance to meet up?

I realise this is a moral or ethical question and I probably should just trust my gut on this, but I wanted to askā¦
I (31F) went on a few dates with a guy (32M) and weāre pretty compatible in terms of humour, hobbies and sociopolitical viewpoints. Turns out weāre not compatible in the long term, which is rough because thereās sexual chemistry.
Initially, I considered something casual with him, but Iām finding it hard to take the plunge when I already have a FWB on the side.
The situation with the FWB is pretty complicated, but thereās no future in that one beyond friends. I donāt know why I feel scummy about having more than one sexual relationship at a time?
My main qualms that I can identify is feeling like my home will become a halfway house, and feeling bad for my pets who will be exposed to a stranger and will need to adapt to them being around (I have an anxious dog).
At the same time as feeling like the sex would be amazing, I also feel like Iād be feeling a bit yuck in the days following.
Do I just take my reluctance to mean itās not for me?

Basically zero response on this profile. I'm dutch and living in Valencia. Tried multiple different photo's and prompts. Even got hingeX, because of a discount, but with zero effect. Curious if my account is messed up or my profile just doesn't work here. I did delete and redo my account about 2 weeks ago. I'm a bit clueless. It doesn't really match my real life experience.
Oh yeah, and I'm aware that my neckbeard can use some extra shaving. Already got that tip before. But doubt if that fully justifies the current Hinge experience.

New to this, been on and off the apps over the past year. Have gotten a handful of matches in that time but nothing significant. As well unsure how to go about displaying some other sections of my life (newly at the gym, volunteering, enjoy games etc).
Any help would be appreciated š

Hey, I really need advice if I 30F should keep seeing this 50M man. Iāve been dating a guy I met for about a month. He plans nice dates, stays in contact, and has respected the fact that I donāt like to text. Things seemed to be going well and I was starting to feel more comfortable with him.
I noticed recently that his profile was no longer showing up in my matches, so I asked him about it .
He said something along the lines of, āThe app is expensive so I shut it down. Itās limited in the parameters I can use, and the amount I was paying was high. It doesnāt do what I need it to do, like filtering out people I donāt want to match with.ā
The thing is, his name is still showing under my previous matches on Hinge. From what I understand, that means he unmatched me rather than deleting his account.
We havenāt discussed exclusivity, and Iām not expecting that at this stage. Weāre still getting to know each other. However, his explanation left me confused because it doesnāt line up with what Iām seeing on the app.
Aside from this, heās been consistent about planning dates and communicating with me.
Am I interpreting this correctly, or is there something about how Hinge works that I might be missing? Would you consider this a red flag, or am I reading too much into it? Iād appreciate honest perspectives, especially from people who have experienced something similar.

I'm a woman and ofcourse I have a lot of likes. How on earth am I supposed to enterain several conversations and reject 99% of them? Even if nothing is wrong? There are simply too many options. I feel so guilty knowing I'm supposed to turn people down just because there was someone better. I feel so bad knowing I'm potentially wasting their money and time. It's literally just a race to see who can keep me entertained the most. I find it impossible to ghost people and not feel bad. But I can't make up an explanation for everyone. I feel like everyone deserves a chance and a reply. How do I change my mindset? The fact I read everyone's profile in detail makes me humanize them so it's not just a number on my screen. I'm an introvert with no friends irl so this is my only way of meeting people in a way I'm comfortable with. Well, the least uncomfortable way, rather... I would really like to become numb to these things.

Hi dear fellow Hinge users! Iām using the app in a big German city and my biggest problem is that straight men keep liking my profile. So every time Iām excited about going through my likes I am bummed because I wonāt match with anyone. I wonāt date straight men because I identify as nonbinary. I know I have a feminine look. But do men using the app really not scroll past the pictures or read the prompts? I even included a picture of a performance I did in a queer nightclub where one can see I had top surgery. I mesh the best with fellow bisexual and genderqueer people and I donāt know why my profile is even shown to straight men if I have set the nonbinary gender label. So what do you think, should I exchange some of the pictures to more androgynous-style ones? Maybe the first picture is already too female-looking?(I picked it because Iām not wearing makeup and felt like myselfš«£) Okay, thank you!! Appreciate your help.

Hey Ya'll I've been on and off hinge for a few years now. I had one serious relationship that I found from here.
In my profile I also have that I am Demisexual, don't drink, smoke, or do drugs and want children.
On my profile I have two stories from friends
One says
"She gives great advice and has a warm heart. She's not afraid to tell you her opinion but will always support you and encourage you."
Mari is a home in a big crowd making friends with everyone."
The travel story I have as a voice note talks about my 2018 trip to Japan.
Looking at what some people are saying I think I'm going to trim down the comments about travel on here. I don't really get to travel that much anymore and honestly I hardly have time for it. I'm a full-time student who is currently applying to Masters programs and will most likely go for my PHD as well.
I don't have the most time in the world for dating but I really want a partner and kids and my time is running out.
OK taking feedback into consideration I've deleted my geeky prompt and the "pick our first gettaway"
In its place I now have the prompt āwhat if I told youāĀ Which I said I've worked a blue collar job wtih American Airlines for 12 years my flight benefits are now permanent.
the new poll I have on my profile is two truths and a lie
option one is I've lost over 100 lb since 2018
option two is I went back to school after 10 years and I'm nowĀ looking at a master/phd
Ā option 3 is I can't whistle
I'll be working over the next few weeks to try to take some new and flattering photos to replace my airplane along with the picture with a friend and my mom

Heyy, just wondering if this is weird? I 23(F) get creeped out when guys ask to go on a date ASAP / within a few minutes of texting. I prefer both for personal safety and for vibes reasons to text for about a week or so before scheduling a date for the following weekend / next free day available. So usually about 7-10 days ish of texting before a date. Sometimes when I communicate this guys seem offended that I want to see if conversation flows well with them. I know that texting compatibility doesnāt always translate to real life and have learned that the hard way + have been pleasantly surprised before. That said, I tend to think itās safer and it makes me more comfortable if I have built SOME banter with a person before meeting them. Otherwise itās a total stranger, and iām not going to be comfortable or flirty.
Thoughts on how this looks?

Looking for some profile advice! Not really sure what to say for pics and stuff like that. Wouldnāt say Iām the most attractive or whatever, but I feel like I can have a better profile. I end up doing pretty well once matches but this is a big stumbling block.
Voice memo is a rant about hot ones not being as spicy anymore.
I have a few pics I can sub but iāve been trying to experiment with whatās best.
