CK3 Who's the artist who drew this painting for the fate of Iberia? He really deserves his flowers.
Just absolutely gorgeous.

Hi fellow Christians, I'm still trying to be a dutiful servant and get the Pope to sleep with my wife, but no matter how much I stack the deck, it is proving next to impossible.
My Pope is my puppet. I tell him to start a seduction scheme against my wife. Okay, so far so good. I even fired my exceptionally talented spymaster (he's pissed, I'm afraid) to reduce the risk that anyone blows up his scheme.
Now, my beautiful wife is also my puppet. She's amazing, really. She instantly agreed to try seducing the Pope while he is also trying to seduce her. For some reason, she was expected to fail miserably. This is truly her only flaw as a spouse.
I did what I could to smooth the road. I even hosted an Ecumenical Council just to get female adultery accepted by Christendom. Nonetheless, my puppets both failed to seduce one another.
Why can't mutual seduction schemes simply...work out for both parties? Like hypothetically, if someone was trying to convert you to witchcraft, NOT THAT I WOULD KNOW, but you are already a witch. HYPOTHETICALLY. Wouldn't that make sense?
tl;dr what kind of zany romcom hijinks are going on here? Why can't I just make my puppets kiss??

In my current run for the papacy, the reigning Pope Leo V. just received the cancer trait.

Hello everyone.
Today, I’d like to talk to you about what is essentially an update to my historical mod for CK3—though it’s not so much an update as it is a port.
While 867 is a very tempting starting date, I’ve always preferred to begin as far back as possible for a Mega Campaign.
The era of the Great Barbarian Invasions is the perfect setting for this.
Consequently, I’ve developed an equivalent version of my mod for The Fallen Eagle, allowing for gameplay during this period.
But that’s not all: I’ve also adapted the mods I used in my base-game CK3 playthrough so that they work within The Fallen Eagle.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not, in any way, claim to have originated the Historical Bloodlines, Historic Invasions, Greater Historic Invasions, or Historical Figures mods. These mods belong to their respective creators; while I have expanded upon them for my own personal gameplay, I am neither their owner nor their creator. A huge thank you to those authors for helping me get my start in historical modding.
Let’s begin with what I have added separately:
- A system for historical births and deaths: Rulers—and other significant figures—are born and die on their actual historical dates. If they die prematurely due to causes outside the player's control, they are recreated the following year with the same family ties and ID, allowing them to resume their original position.
- A system for historical marriages: All historical marriages will take place, ensuring that historical children are born to their actual historical parents. This is particularly useful when using the "Historical Bloodline" mod, as it prevents the loss of a bloodline if it is held only through the maternal line.
- A system for historical events and annual checks: In addition to historical invasions, various other historical events will occur. The succession of Clovis, the Justinian Code, the rise and spread of Islam—all these will take place to further enhance historical immersion during this period. Furthermore, the game performs an annual check of the map to ensure that lands and titles are held by their correct historical owners. This ensures that successions and reigns remain purely historical, and that the map evolves in strict accordance with actual history. Areas directly affected by the player’s actions are left untouched.

And as mentioned above, I have recreated the Historical Bloodline, Historical Invasion, Greater Historical Invasion, and Historical Figures mods for The Fallen Eagle. The mods themselves remain unchanged; they simply add content covering the period from 476 to 867.
Example for Historical Figures :

Example for Historical Bloodline :

Example for Historic Invasions and Greater Historic Invasions :

All of my additions span the timeframe from 476 to 867.
Thank you for following and supporting me as I develop all of this; it brings me great joy to share it and to see that you enjoy it just as much as I do. I am working on creating several major mods for Paradox titles—getting them ready for release—and I am also working to ensure the Mega Campaign is released soon. Thank you all!

I just bought this thing for 5g. I'm literally selling it in Tulaytulah! I can't even wear it because I don't have that as a holy site!
e: Just got two more from a single trip and sold both of them for 80g and 84g. Forget contracts, I know how I'm making my money this run.

Made a post about this abhorrent and blasphemous spelling error pre-dlc. The devs listened. Christ be praised. Long live Pope Leo.

I decided it was time to reveal my secret faith, and obviously i got a civl war after i ordered the imprisonment of everyone who didn’t convert, I hoped i could rush the war before the popular rebellion which WILL HAPPEN but i didn’t manage to get it fast enough over it, and the rebellion is way worse than i could have ever imagined. I lost to the popular rebellion 6 years later :(

Yeah, seems like I am a very lazy player, and that every CK3 player decided to get about 50ish achievements while I slept tonight

I noticed after playing on the new DLC that theocratic vassals no longer give an absurd amount of tax like they used to. Is that no longer a viable strategy or is it a doctrinal thing?

This guy single-handedly united Italy, became the pope of a new religion that conquered Europe, destroyed the Papacy, restored the Roman Empire.....and the only thing this game could think off, is that one time he banged a former concubine like a month after he had dismissed her?
Are you f****** serious??

I want to attempt either a Republic run on the steppes and make it a bunch of different cultures by starting as a adventurer and collecting different cultured followers to then land.

Okay you want to play the hardest recommend character in the iranian struggle scenario? He’s a rough guide how to play!
first you want to restart a lot, why? Because your starting characters commander ability is random and you need to have eather rough terrain expert or Organiser I advise Organiser more because of the less fatal casualties, okay now?
now you marry your half brother to one of the Abasids for a alliance, yes it works even though he is Zoroastrian, if that doesn’t work then use your character.
now you want to buy some men at arms with your money, preferably some with good mountain bonuses.
now pick chilvary lifestyle and try to skill the first point of galant, you will need the less chance to die in battle, already got it? Start skilling to home advantage for plus 5 defender advantage.
now you wait for enough money for a funeral, why? Because your father always dies after game start giving you a funeral opportunity, because you need piety, why? You are on the opposite side of the struggle, and you need the abasids help and for them to help you you need to be a calatpit supporter.
next you wait, usually you won’t be able to get the abassids suport before your overlod tries to revoke your title, but don’t fall for the noob trap! Because if he demands conversion you will convert away from suni to Shia making you unable to call in the abasids.
if you eventually decline raise your troops and wait, make shure you are the commander but otherwse nothing else is needed because you are on home teretory defending on a castle, and even if the game thinks you will lose you normally always win unless your overlord got some allies or mercs but that usually doesn’t happen.
now to be clear you CANT win this war normally, in 8/10 games where i tested this you eventually lose because of ticking warscore, but here comes the entire setup together, because of battle warscore you can eventually get a white piece, that is what you want because it gives you ~5 years where you can do other stuff.
now over this time you should have collected money from income and potentially if you have been losing money getting some from ransoms, you now need to spend this money to get more prestige, why? To claim your overlrods title.
when you have a claim you declare war, by this point you should have switched struggle sides and can call in the Abbasids for the war winning it.
now after you have won the war try to get a rebellion to revoke titles, for which you get a free abasids call in.
at this point you are free to do whatever! I recommend staying suni until kingdom title, and make sure you are allied with the abasids before switching religion because the alliance stays and you will not get a new one.
I hope this is helpful, sorry for my bad English it’s not my first language, have funn!
