Hi fellow Christians, I'm still trying to be a dutiful servant and get the Pope to sleep with my wife, but no matter how much I stack the deck, it is proving next to impossible.
My Pope is my puppet. I tell him to start a seduction scheme against my wife. Okay, so far so good. I even fired my exceptionally talented spymaster (he's pissed, I'm afraid) to reduce the risk that anyone blows up his scheme.
Now, my beautiful wife is also my puppet. She's amazing, really. She instantly agreed to try seducing the Pope while he is also trying to seduce her. For some reason, she was expected to fail miserably. This is truly her only flaw as a spouse.
I did what I could to smooth the road. I even hosted an Ecumenical Council just to get female adultery accepted by Christendom. Nonetheless, my puppets both failed to seduce one another.
Why can't mutual seduction schemes simply...work out for both parties? Like hypothetically, if someone was trying to convert you to witchcraft, NOT THAT I WOULD KNOW, but you are already a witch. HYPOTHETICALLY. Wouldn't that make sense?
tl;dr what kind of zany romcom hijinks are going on here? Why can't I just make my puppets kiss??

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a Terra Obscura mod, and it’s coming along pretty well so far.
The idea is to calculate diplomatic range and use a map mask to hide realms beyond it under clouds, while also preventing interaction with them, similar to how Europa Universalis V handles unexplored areas.
If you’d like to follow the development of this mod and my other mod, Simple Holding Sprawl, or share ideas and feedback, feel free to join my Discord: https://discord.gg/BX7m2G3sJ

We all already hear about many of the most-requested expansions (Warfare comes to mind), but what are some lesser-requested or niche things you think would work well in game?
For me personally: With non-Dynastic lowborns officially being playable under By God Alone, it would be really immersive and interesting for a minor peasantry overhaul, perhaps being able to 'play' as a peasant or something equivalent within clusters of cities or baronies, with new and more immersive, role-play focused methods of peasant and populist revolts being added!
I'm curious what other non-priority expansions or DLCs that people would want to see in game one day, whether by an official release or a mod.

I've heard complaints that you are able to unilaterally make Christianity polytheist in the new update within a few decades, when centuries of war began in history for much less. Ironically, one of the big sticking points between Judaism and Christianity is that Jews see Christians as worshipping three gods. Maybe there can be tiers of monotheism, with each stricter tier having a reduced opinion of more lax ones. That way, if Christianity does become Polytheist, it can be more realistically slow and difficult.
For example,
Indivisible Oneness: Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism
One Being, Multiple Aspects: Christianity
A Thousand Faces of the Divine: Hinduism, Buddhism
Henotheism: Shinto
Unrestricted Polytheism

Hello everyone.
Today, I’d like to talk to you about what is essentially an update to my historical mod for CK3—though it’s not so much an update as it is a port.
While 867 is a very tempting starting date, I’ve always preferred to begin as far back as possible for a Mega Campaign.
The era of the Great Barbarian Invasions is the perfect setting for this.
Consequently, I’ve developed an equivalent version of my mod for The Fallen Eagle, allowing for gameplay during this period.
But that’s not all: I’ve also adapted the mods I used in my base-game CK3 playthrough so that they work within The Fallen Eagle.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not, in any way, claim to have originated the Historical Bloodlines, Historic Invasions, Greater Historic Invasions, or Historical Figures mods. These mods belong to their respective creators; while I have expanded upon them for my own personal gameplay, I am neither their owner nor their creator. A huge thank you to those authors for helping me get my start in historical modding.
Let’s begin with what I have added separately:
- A system for historical births and deaths: Rulers—and other significant figures—are born and die on their actual historical dates. If they die prematurely due to causes outside the player's control, they are recreated the following year with the same family ties and ID, allowing them to resume their original position.
- A system for historical marriages: All historical marriages will take place, ensuring that historical children are born to their actual historical parents. This is particularly useful when using the "Historical Bloodline" mod, as it prevents the loss of a bloodline if it is held only through the maternal line.
- A system for historical events and annual checks: In addition to historical invasions, various other historical events will occur. The succession of Clovis, the Justinian Code, the rise and spread of Islam—all these will take place to further enhance historical immersion during this period. Furthermore, the game performs an annual check of the map to ensure that lands and titles are held by their correct historical owners. This ensures that successions and reigns remain purely historical, and that the map evolves in strict accordance with actual history. Areas directly affected by the player’s actions are left untouched.

And as mentioned above, I have recreated the Historical Bloodline, Historical Invasion, Greater Historical Invasion, and Historical Figures mods for The Fallen Eagle. The mods themselves remain unchanged; they simply add content covering the period from 476 to 867.
Example for Historical Figures :

Example for Historical Bloodline :

Example for Historic Invasions and Greater Historic Invasions :

All of my additions span the timeframe from 476 to 867.
Thank you for following and supporting me as I develop all of this; it brings me great joy to share it and to see that you enjoy it just as much as I do. I am working on creating several major mods for Paradox titles—getting them ready for release—and I am also working to ensure the Mega Campaign is released soon. Thank you all!

I don’t think I can play this game now without dark ages and more interactive vassals. Started a new save as prince of Salerno 1066 and for the first time in a while I’m genuinely having a blast! New patch is also great. But honestly these 2 mods are game changers in the best possible way.
I’m sure everyone already knows about them lol. But if not you need to try them, especially dark ages. Big shout out to all the modders but especially these two!
Dark ages makes me wish the devs made CK3 a bit more gritty and realistic. Reminds me of CK2 a lot

Made a post about this abhorrent and blasphemous spelling error pre-dlc. The devs listened. Christ be praised. Long live Pope Leo.

I just bought this thing for 5g. I'm literally selling it in Tulaytulah! I can't even wear it because I don't have that as a holy site!
e: Just got two more from a single trip and sold both of them for 80g and 84g. Forget contracts, I know how I'm making my money this run.

I checked the decisions window, and nothing. I checked the county window, same. I checked the holy sites window, and there is no option to create a new one. AFAIK the maximum number of sites is supposed to be 9? And I'm at 8.
Possible problems:
I'm currently building a city in said county, could that be what is stopping it?
I am not part of the clergy, I'm an emperor. But the patch notes say I'm supposed to be able to.
I haven't unpaused yet since the patch. Maybe that's it?
I don't have any of the recent DLC. Is that an issue?
Whatever the case, I don't know why it says that I can when I there seems to be no way to do so.
EDIT: If it matters, both the head of faith and head of rite are at over 100 opinion of me.

Noticing that the 867 Mogyer migration has gone exceptionally weird post-patch? I’d post screenshots but I’m on my phone right now but had to ask.
Pre-Patch most cases either they migrate to Pannonia/hungary or just stay nomads and get absorbed into Khazaria. However since the patch I’ve played three games and each time:
1) Arpad conquered Lithuania, then shattered without ever creating an empire creating a weird group of Taltoist kingdoms that took forever to be wiped out.
2) he went south this time and died a horrible death fighting for Thessaloniki and Byzantium for some reason.
3) my current game I’m playing Mali, dealing with constant conquerors and basically enjoying myself when I see Europe to find Arpad conquered SWEDEN of all places, then Norway, Finland, Sapmi, Scotland, Lithuania, Estonia and Novgorod creating Scandinavia and his son has blobbed further, absorbing Italy and Germania as well as west-Slavia into his empire. Currently Europe is him (still taltoist) the French Rite Holy Roman Empire whom rules almost all of Iberia and france, England which is also the ruler of Ireland, Iceland and Rome for some reason and finally a weird mishmash of random Islamic States in south Iberia and Italy.
Did something in the patch turn Arpad into the next Haesteinn? I feel next time I play he’ll become the Shogun or something.

I noticed after playing on the new DLC that theocratic vassals no longer give an absurd amount of tax like they used to. Is that no longer a viable strategy or is it a doctrinal thing?

Exactly as the title says. My computer is pretty old so it takes a while to boot the game up.
