i have 100$ i want to add but paypal is asking me to add in a card which i don't have (my family helped make the account)
i did research and say people using the "paypal" option and leave the box unchecked for options to pay 4 later (i am paying for full cause i don't want to loan)
before i could do that, should i also cancel automatic payment of paypal first? if not, should i use it for other game sites for steam keys?

I don't play muchshooters and don't like how there is so much travel on the trigger buttons. Is it possible to make it so that it acts like the shoulder button with minimum travel within steam controller setting?
Think there is some games that harden the triggers for some scene/guns.

I was checking on my Steam account and I found out I got this gray Cuphead card.
All the other cards I got have the average market price on them, but not this one...
I really don't understand how this collectable cards sistem works.
Look I know pleading to Gabe is like trying to get the god emperor to respond but man.. it would be sooooooooo cool if we had these tags for games.
Being able to toss a spinner hat on "John Generic Hero" and creating a goofy astronaut goblin are wildy different gameplay experiences and mechanics, they should be different tags. Its been super gnarly trying to find games with good character creation and due to the steam tagging system not having this differentiation. There is no alternative beyond personally investigating each and every game to see if its character creation or character customization.
As a lady, I like customization but foremost I like character creation it is an important factor for purchasing for me and i think this distinction would help a lot of other people who find relating, creating or imaginating characters important to their purchase too, weather it be for race, gender, humor or whatever reason. This distinction would rack in dough i..

Edit: looks like by adding a crumb of playfulness to my post I'm getting DoT by keyboard warriors. 🫡 best of luck pleasant folk, thanks for reading.
A lot of people seemed invested in this saga and I've hit a wall presently. I hope people have some other ideas.
I have:
Hi there, Thank you for contacting Steam Support and reporting this to us. Please note that Steam Support cannot connect you with the device’s owner. We recommend that you report the found Steam Deck to your local law enforcement so it can be handled appropriately and returned to its rightful owner. We appreciate your honesty and for taking the responsible steps in this situation. Steam Support Oliver
If anyone has advice on how to break through this wall let me know!
Posted in several subreddits, getting a lot of traction!
Commented on a guy's post and messaged him directly who I think for several reasons is the owner, no response
Added the owner as a friend on Steam, no response
Tried to log into the account itself to see the billing information or any other means of contacting the owner. I can see what account the deck is associated with in the settings, but I can't access anything else without being routed to a login screen. I can see the username & friend code only.
I throw it out to Reddit, any other ideas? I got plenty of comments last time saying my mother-in-law should have turned it into Amtrak when she found it months ago - and I agree! But she didn't! So there is nothing I can do to turn back the hands of time and I highly doubt it will get to the right person if I turn it into Amtrak now... at best, they'll just give it to the most recent person who claims to have lost a Steam Deck, at worst it lives in lost & found purgatory or is taken home by an employee.
Original post: This is a long shot but .....
Several months ago my mother-in-law found a steam deck left on an Amtrak train. She had no idea what to do with it or how to even turn it on. She just came to visit and handed it over to me this weekend. I was able to boot it up and see the person's username. If it's yours, please message me with the final digits of the username and what Amtrak line you were on when you lost it, and I'll get it back to you.

I’m a chef, and I’d love to customize my Steam profile to reflect what I do for a living and what I’m passionate about: cooking.
What profile backgrounds, animated backgrounds, or other profile items would you recommend for a cooking or food-related theme? I’d especially love to find something that shows someone preparing food, working in a kitchen, or anything along those lines.
Also, what are some of your personal favorite Steam profile backgrounds, regardless of the theme? I’m curious to see what you guys are using!
i recently bought a game so my little sisters could play it, but I'm wondering if, while they play, I could stream another game to a different device and play my games there at the same time.
so that, can i have them playing on the main PC, while at the same time i stream (from the same PC) another game to my secondary PC for remote play?

I stored codes for steam guard on phone A, now that I've had a new phone, which I transferred steamguard to, does that make the old one time use codes invalid or not?

This happened today to me and a friend of mine, despite having good internet, not a single account warning or ban, and this problem is only when trying to look at my status for these two games, cause I can see them for every other game, so I'm very confused and want to know what's causing this.

Ordered a left index controller for a partial kit I bought off of Facebook Marketplace, and was genuinely not expecting support to actually do this. Now if only Valve's anti-cheat was anywhere near as good their support...

I've gotten it and am a little worried due to the things peopleare saying about it. First thought was something broke but after looking it up it seems like an error a couple people have gotten in the past. So I just installed and checked if that fixed the error.
Then I see a lot of people have gotten it today, and so many of them are talking about it being malware or suspicious.
I want to ask what it is EXACTLY, I want someone who actually knows what they are talking about to tell me what this popup means in the context of so many getting it recently.
I cannot afford to screw around with potential Malware.

I installed Steam onto my computer about a year ago. I also installed Fallout 4 and recently the Elder Scrolls Online. Yesterday I uninstalled Fallout 4 on my computer and also deleted a Games folder that was on my computer after installing Fallout 4. I don't remember why the Games folder was there. But I deleted the Games folder after uninstalling Fallout 4. After doing all this, I turned off my computer and didn't turn it on again until the next day and noticed Steam was gone and ESO would not work. So, I installed Steam again, but ESO still didn't work even after all kinds of things I did to try and make it work. In the end, I accepted the ESO was gone. So, I deleted the ESO icon and only had Steam on my computer. Now, the next day, I noticed after turning on my computer that Steam is once again gone. What is going on?

So a random friend on my steam list send me and a mutual friend of ours a QR-Code on Steam giving away $100 gift card. This is a scam right? I am most certain it is, but hey, you never know everything so I thought checking with the community would most likely be a good idea.
Just wanting to know on I can tell them they are either naive and fell for a scam themselves or were h@cked.
Another note that's important is probably that they made a chat group with only me and themselves and left right after sending that picture
