Question PS5 controller, is there steam setting to make the trigger buttons act like button instead?

I don't play muchshooters and don't like how there is so much travel on the trigger buttons. Is it possible to make it so that it acts like the shoulder button with minimum travel within steam controller setting?

Think there is some games that harden the triggers for some scene/guns.

I don't think that Steam Input has control over stiffness of the triggers on Dualsense, no.

I don't think Steam itself currently can control the stiffness of the adaptive triggers. It's currently managed by the games themselves.

What you are looking for are 3rd party controllers where you can toggle the triggers between analog triggers and digital microswitches via physical lock.

Depends on the game, buymt almost always yes. And there are tons of steam profiles already made for most games and ps5 controller.

In the controller settings I think it's the analog output setting

Bind stuff to the softpress input and use the gear setting to turn it down to whatever threshold you want it to fire at. You probably want to turn the analog output to off as well

You can set a custom trigger deadzone. No control over adaptive triggers, unless you have a dualsense edge which allows you to set the trigger distance.
