Venting Larping

I'm so tired about mfs here larping being lonely and Then a few words later they mention "my gf/bf/friends"

Like really?? This is like a millionaire complaining to a homeless person they can't buy their favorite yacht.

And before you say that I'm invalidating other's experience and that people like the ones I'm complaining about can be lonely too, please refer to the example I posted above. Most of you would rightfully laugh at that millionaire but millionaires can feel poor too and if you laugh, you invalidate their experience. Same applies to the people who claim to be lonely. If you had a SO, then you probably have friends too or you can make new ones, which means you can try again to get another partner. Yes I know breakup sucks and you lose motivation, but keep in mind it's not over for you...and you actually have a chance..if it already happened once. If you lack friends but you already had then again you can make new ones... It's even easier and you can do it online too.

Also, have you noticed they always say I FEEL lonely...and not I AM? Me too.

Discussion To anyone who's feeling lonely or struggling right now, I hope you take a moment to read this.

I've been thinking lately about how many people are walking around carrying pain that nobody knows about. People who have families, friends, relationships, and responsibilities, yet still feel alone. People who smile, laugh, and tell everyone they're fine when, deep down, they're exhausted and just want a moment of peace.

And honestly, that makes me sad.

But there's something I want you to remember you are more than your pain.

You're more than the mistakes you've made, the people who have hurt you, the relationships that didn't work out, and the moments when you felt like you weren't good enough.

Making mistakes doesn't automatically make you a bad person. Feeling sad doesn't make you dramatic. Crying doesn't make you weak. And struggling with loneliness doesn't mean there's something wrong with you.

You're human. Being human means experiencing emotions, making mistakes, learning, and trying again.

I know opening up isn't always easy. Sometimes, people don't listen. Sometimes, they dismiss your feelings or make you regret being vulnerable. I understand why that can make you afraid to trust anyone with your pain.

But please don't let the people who failed to understand you convince you that nobody ever will.

You deserve to be heard. You deserve kindness. You deserve relationships where you don't have to pretend to be okay all the time.

And please remember that you are your own person. Other people may judge you, misunderstand you, or define you by your past, but they don't get to decide your entire future. You can learn from your mistakes, choose your own path, and become the person you want to be.

It won't always be easy. Life won't always go the way you hope. Some days, trying again will feel exhausting.

But you don't have to have everything figured out today. You don't have to win every battle. Sometimes, getting through a difficult day is enough. Sometimes, taking a break is what you need. And sometimes, trying again tomorrow is its own kind of courage.

I can't promise that everything will magically get better, and I won't pretend to know what you're going through.

But I hope you give yourself the opportunity to discover what life can still hold for you.

There are people you haven't met yet, moments you haven't experienced yet, and memories you haven't made yet. Your story is still being written.

Please don't mistake the pain you're experiencing today for the entirety of the life you can have tomorrow.

You deserve more than just surviving. You deserve moments of peace, genuine connection, laughter, and happiness, too.

And if nobody has told you this lately, let me tell you now you matter, your feelings matter, and you don't have to be perfect to deserve love and kindness.

Keep trying, at your own pace. Be patient with yourself. And remember to offer yourself some of the compassion you would give to someone else who was hurting.

You are more than your worst day. You are more than your past. And you are worthy of the chance to build a better future.

I hope things get a little easier for you.

Take care of yourself.

I don't wanna make it to my birthday

I'm 34 and my birthday is November 21. I haven't enjoyed life at all. I have 4 children and I'm pretty sure they alm hate me. My wife won't touch me and makes every physical encounter into an argument to avoid intimacy with me. I don't know if I'm ugly. I have no friends, my moms dying of cancer and my siblings all hate me as well. I just want to not be here anymore. I really am alone, my dogs don't even like me. I have no hope

Birthday post šŸŽ Never wished a happy birthday

I’m 36 years old. I’ve never been wished a happy birthday since I’ve been 16. After a while it feels as if no one cares. Even my work would celebrate others but never myself. I’m not sure if I’ll make it to 37. Life is hard enough but to do it on your own without the prospect of anything is even harder. Looking to connect with both m or f if you’re out there. Please let me know I’m not as alone as I feel.

Venting I am never going to find love and I just have to deal with that

I am never going I be anyone’s first choice, who they think about first in the morning or last before they go to bed.
I am meant to suffer the fate of loving wholly and unconditionally but never to feel the same warmth
I do not understand why I am not wanted sometimes and it frustrates me because I try so hard but I can’t help but think about how I have nothing to offer and how I really must be worthless.
What is there to love? What is there to daydream about?
I am so pathetic.
I am useless.
I am nothing.
Why would Somone want to hold me like I want to hold them?
What comfort or solace could I ever provide Somone for more than just a brief moment.
I am only as much as I can give Somone.
Im not looking anymore, All the people I hold so dear leave me, it hurts to get close
But it hurts to stay alone.

Venting I’m just so insignificant

Why am I here? Nobody talks to me. Nobody is excited to see me. Nobody wants to do things with me.

And I mean ME. Not just the me that’s another body filling up a group event. I mean ME me. There is nobody who’s actually connected to me. Invested in me. I feel like nobody cares.

Every day I go to work, do my thing, come home and… there’s nobody waiting for me. Nobody waiting for me at home. Nobody waiting for me to get home to hang out with me. Nobody waiting for me for… anything. I could really disappear tomorrow, and nobody would notice I’m gone. Well… maybe someone would notice finally if maybe I didn’t show up to their kid’s birthday party, or something.

I always feel like an outsider looking in. I’m struggling to keep my head above water doing all the things people suggest. Go to the gym. Get a hobby. Join a community. Go out. Etc. It’s all been for naught. It doesn’t matter when you’re worth less than a human being.

I’m so delusional to think that I actually truly matter in people’s lives. I try to talk to them and listen and think that maybe I’m making a difference in their lives. But eventually I realize I am deluding myself. Nobody cares. If I talk to people, it’s a nice distraction. An added bonus. But I’ll never actually be significant.

I’m done

I work way too much and don’t seem to have anything in common with anyone. My old friends have seemed to stagnated themselves. I don’t really have anything in common with most people. I’m 28 and am too old to fit in with Gen Z even though I am one. coupled with the fact that my parents are on the older side ie 1960/1959. Makes it hard to fit in I’m a weird in between year. My sister gets annoyed by me and I have nobody to talk to except my therapist.
Fucking tired of not fitting in I’m fucking done I’m tired. My bad social skills and inability to fit in have made making new friends or even a girlfriend impossible FML dude with no free time but hey at least I’m making money šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø also I miss my dead dog

Venting Crying so hard I'm screaming

Thankfully the shower drowns my screams out, i ended up just crying for an hour or more screaming. I meet the perfect man, his life is awful, traumatic, just like mine but he's held that burden longer than me, decades of it. He understood me like no one else, he's the whole package!? Yet somehow he thinks he's not good enough for me. My first love , both so perfect for each other. Our time together was so brief, it kills me. We both experienced unconditional love for the first time and it was taken from the both. He's dead now, it's not fair! It's not fair, i wanna bash my head. I've been crying so hard that I can barely breathe. See? Its werid to even talk about him in past tense.... it doesn't feel real. Why didn't they leave us alone even after seeing my ID that proved I was 18... i hate this world

Why me? Why me? I got a taste of love and it's all I want now, I want to make him feel safe again just like he made me feel safe. I'm the unluckiest boy in the world. Worst summer ever, I never though the summer I'd graduate highschool would go this way. I'm so lonely and depressed, no friends to cry on call with or hang out with to forget, just for a second.

I wish i had a bunch of money to buy new markers and coloring books and other material nonsense, to get lost in those hobbies like a labyrinth of sorts so I could quiet my mind completely. I feel like a husk of myself now

Venting Being a friendless girl is the worst

It seems im the only 18 year old girl without real friends?
I dont understand what is wrong with me and why does everyone leave me out of plans? What are the odds that on EVERY friendgroup i ever had im never anyones 1 choice and they always exclude me? Im extroverted, I talk but not to much to annoy anyone, i am conventionally ā€œatractiveā€ enough for people not be ashamed of me. I have no weird interests and the few i have i never talk about them. And i always try to be myself. I just found out that in a 10 people group 8 are going together on vacation when i said MULTIPLE times that i was willing to pay and go and the other girl i send a message to hang out sometime (i couldnt even get to that part i just said ā€œhey girlā€) . Advice please or is it over? thank you all

Ps: I won’t answer dms so dont bother

Venting Not being left alone is a matter of luck.

Having friends in real life is a matter of luck. Have someone you can ask/tell anything is a matter of luck. Having people accompany you to go to hospitals/banks/other cities is a matter of luck. At last I've realized that I'm the most unlucky person because I've to do everything alone, everyone have their group of friends to accompany them. I'm just leftout everywhere (not even a choice).

Recently, a person I considered my friend showed me that she never considered me her friend, I was just useful to her when she needed help regarding studies, otherwise her real friends are people she hangs out with (forgets me completely when she's around her).

I guess I'll just have to di3 alone lol.

Venting Stranger talk to me please

Hello, stranger.

I'm 36, and I feel like I'm no longer capable of doing anything. I was diagnosed with depression two years ago. At that time, I took the medication my doctor prescribed. To be honest, my doctor helped me a lot, especially by giving me someone to vent to. I had never cried that hard in my life until I talked to him.

I eventually stopped taking the medication. First, it was very expensive, and second, I didn't think it was helping me that much. That was also two years ago, when I still had my business and my day job. But now, I've lost everything. I lost my business, and I lost my job.

My wife is now the only one working for our family. I've completely lost my motivation. I even deactivated all of my social media accounts. Reddit is the only platform I still use.

I also forgot to mention that I had suicidal thoughts two years ago. I thought I had already overcome those thoughts, but today they came back. I'm so lost.

At 36, I feel old, especially here in the Philippines. At this age, people expect you to already have a house, a car, and an established career. But me? I have nothing. Absolutely nothing.

What makes everything even harder is that I have a wife and children who depend on me. They're the only reason I've stopped myself from acting on these thoughts. I keep thinking, what will happen to them if I'm gone?

I just want someone to talk to someone who's going through the same situation. I just want these thoughts to leave my mind because I know it would be unfair to the people I'd leave behind.

Please, just talk to me. I don't have the courage to tell my wife how I'm really feeling. My parents have abandoned me, and my so called friends were only around when I had money.

That's why I need a stranger right now.

Thank you, Redditors.

Discussion what's your favourite song?

mine changes pretty often, but right now it's 'Twilight' by Elliott Smith. it's a really beautiful song, I highly recommend listening if you've not heard it before. also, I know this isn't a music sub or anything like that.. I just really enjoy hearing about people's taste in music, and thought that some people might connect over a shared interest.

it doesn't have to be a song if you're not into music, feel free to reply with your favourite movie, show, anime, manga, whatever. ok this is getting long, hope you comment ^^

Venting I feel like I have no one in my life, i cant take this for another year

People with depression get better. People with lifelong trauma stay the same.

My cptsd makes it so hard to interact with people. The only friends i had in the past were in the mental hospital. That was years ago... I have hobbies, i have distractions, i go out for walks. But trust me, none of that matters when you have no one in ur life...

All my online friends get better and more mature, yet im stuck as a lost damaged kid.

I hate when someone says that things get better. They don't. Not in my world.

this is going to get ignored and then i'll just feel wose

Venting I’m so tired of this

I swear I try my best. I try reaching out to people, but mostly end up being ignored, which makes it even lonelier. didn’t know that was possible. So I am in a lot of these communities where you supposedly make friends in hopes to finally find that one friend who will stay and to stop being lonely. Hasn’t worked out for me at least not the way I expected. There was a certain individual who messaged me and we started talking. They felt so safe that I disclosed my disability to them. I’m not doing it here because it’s not important for the context. But anyway, I explained it to them since it’s someone I thought I would be in contact with from then on. They told me it was a dealbreaker for them and it was too big of a commitment. Looks like people are allergic to commitment nowadays. Can’t believe this happened to me again. I spilled my guts to this person told them something. I’m scared to talk about and they did this? Really?
