Between doing it through the online NHL shop or doing it in person at the Devil’s Den, which is the smarter way of getting a custom jersey?

By smarter I mean like overall better with like price and quality. I’m a quarter season ticket holder and I know I get a discount in store but I’m not sure it applies to the custom jerseys because online discounts don’t. I’ve seen older reviews of Devils Den customs turning out a bit wonky so that scares me a little.

Unfortunately the player I want the jersey of doesn’t have his made yet (Lombardi - and before anyone is like but he’s not guaranteed to stay, he’s my favorite in part because we had the same timeline for ending up in NJ so I don’t think I’m going to regret getting his)

I’d ideally want it to be here before the Habs game mid November and I’m always worried about custom stuff arriving on time.

Just wanted to say your broadcast is great - they give both teams their flowers when they’re deserved, genuinely seems like an unbiased crew.

Unfortunate about that goal waived off, not sure what they want a player to do if there’s no whistle. Gg.

Anyways look at these pictures i managed to get. Exactly how i felt watching whatever that was.

Ice time dwindling, constant egregious penalties, and always behind the play. This is the second game in a row where he’s been taken off Jack’s line late in the game for Lombardi. And Lombardi at least looks like he can skate with that line. Mantha might get suspended for his latest stunt, and that might be exactly what we the doctor ordered to get production out of Jack and Bratt. When will the experiment in the top 6 end?

I see you guys all are fed up with Keefe and want him fired, specifically because your 5v5 scoring has been almost non existent. This seems so weird to me because in Toronto he was such a offensive minded coach, leafs had no problem scoring a ton, the problem was defense. Did he do a complete 180 on his system??

Title says it all. I know the game has changed but wtf is going on.

We let every team skate through the crease. Snow our goalies, poke them, trip over them and at most its like half a shove.

Remember when a player would try and breathe the same air as Marty after the whistle and they get mauled? I FUCKING DO. You know how annoying it is to get sticked, face washed, punched, tripped. It fuckin sucks. It makes one second guess going to the net bc they know theyll have to answer for it every time.

Nobody fears the devils. There's a mental aspect of the game that we simply aren't participating in and it shows on the ice.

Edit: For clarity, I am aware the game has changed but I see other teams tax our boys asses night in and night out and we rarely have a similar reaction in front of our net.

Devils win, but do they deserve to? Forwards showed up, but the defense didn't. Instead they once again hung these goalies out to dry and failed to defend a lead on 3 SEPERATE OCCASIONS.

Defense is the issue, now fix it.

Well, another night, another another loss. Though I'm not even that upset with how we played, penalty kill was great tonight, killing 4/5 including a 5 minute major, Daws looked a lot better and if not for 2 defensive mistakes, that's easily a 1-1 game.

Obviously this season hasn’t started the way we’d hoped. The team has good analytics but the results aren’t coming.

If this keeps up I don’t think Keefe is going to make it to Christmas but a more glaring issue is the lack of a true puck moving defenseman outside of Luke Hughes. I’m a firm believer that Sunny was forced into trading Nemec due to Kovy and Dougie being on expensive and immovable contracts and Chisholm is good but nothing more than a depth defenseman so we could use another one.

That’s where Edvinsson comes in. He’s only 23, 6’6 220lb and with Detroit he put up a respectable 52% xGF%. He’s a solid mobile puck moving defenseman who’s currently unsigned and Detroit is looking to trade him.

Now the issue comes down to cost both trade and contract wise. His contract projection is around 9-11mil AAV but I think we have the ability to move the money to make that deal work. I’m not gonna give a mock trade but if we can attach Dillon and Mercer to the deal along with some AHLers (Lenni, Casey) and a pick, then that gives us just enough to fit Edvinsson. Detroit has the cap space to take on that money as well.

Edvinsson would not only boost the offense but also boost the defense which would in turn take some heat off the goaltending.

I've been enjoying behind the net. what views do you guys like and dislike?

I’m not sure if anybody is a fan of the locked on Devil‘s podcast or knows anything about the situation but I found it very interesting. So if you’re unfamiliar, unlocked on devils is a podcast that usually happens a couple times a week as part of a whole lockdown series that supports your favorite team. These podcast happen fairly frequently. The latest podcast has been over a month ago now before the season even started talking about the Quinn Hughes saga. It’s just very odd that a multiple time weekly podcast was suddenly go silent at the beginning of a season starting, which should be the busiest time. I’m just wondering if anybody knows anything about that situation and why there haven’t been any updates as somebody who uses that podcast for devils news and updates. If you are familiar with the podcast, does anybody know of a similar podcast that happens a couple times a week that’s about 30 minutes long? That will kind of update you on everything going on news scores that kind of thing. Are there any other good devils podcast similar? Thank you for any insight you may have on the situation!

Are you allowed to watch on the glass if the person in row 1 isn’t there for warmups if you are in row 2?

Because I know that it’s only behind the goal sections that are fair game to anyone but I’m not sure what the rules are for if you have an actual seat in that section and it’s already PL.

I’m just thinking ahead because I’d like to do a sign for my birthday and I got PL row 2 seats because I do prefer being in row 2 when actually watching the game (and it’s more budget friendly compared to glass).

I’ve been hesitant to say this because Devils fans are touchy about criticizing the shiny new thing, but I think Sunny is flat out wrong about goaltending.

Sorokin, Vejmelka, and Ullmark. There’s a reason we struggle to score against these guys. I’m tired of looking to see who is in net against us, because I feel like I know how it’s going to go. Take tonight, I thought to myself “who is even on Ottawa? We should win” then I saw Ullmark and knew we were screwed!

We’re expecting an Allen/Daws tandem, and now Poirier, who wasn’t even in the plans until the last minute, to compete with that caliber of goaltending?

We’ve given up 18 goals in 5 games.

Sunny doesn’t want to invest in goaltending because it’s too “volatile” analytically, but to me this just looks like an afterthought approach to a position that clearly needs addressing. Just because a position is unpredictable doesn’t mean you can afford to neglect it. We can’t expect to outscore elite goaltending every night.

At the risk of all of your criticism, I don’t think our Goaltending is our only issue. I just think…”Just because the analytics (Sunny) say it isn’t important, doesn’t mean it isn’t”.

I’m tired of seeing who is in goal for the opposing team and knowing it’s going to be a struggle to win before the puck drops despite how bad the other team is “supposed” to be.
