Paid Product/Service Promotion Per-Object undo history up to 10,000 steps (like zbrush, no crazy RAM usage)

Forever i’ve envied that zbrush had per-object undo history for sculpting. fast forward 4 months and Sculpt Rewind is ready.

it stores sculpt history separately for each object, recording every stroke you make, so you can scrub back and forth through individual objects or the whole scene. it also works with vertex colors.

and no, it’s not gonna give you a 10gb file lol. it only stores what changed between strokes. it doesn’t replace blender’s undo either, it works parallel to it.

you can also export mesh timelapses or render them out directly.

there’s also a Morph Brush (similar idea to zbrush History Recall). say you’re sculpting and you realize you liked the nose from an earlier version better. you can select that point in history and literally brush the old nose back onto your current sculpt without affecting anything else.

currently doesn’t support multires or dyntopo, but they’re coming soon. i already have prototypes for both.

You can get it here: (25% off)

It’s been a while since I last used Blender, and I’m glad I haven’t lost the skills to create projects like this. Although perhaps this work isn't the best.

Made this in Blender as part of a series of low poly, PS2-style cat animations I do for a Spanish-language YouTube Shorts channel. The subtitles are in Spanish, but the animation is the main thing here.

Happy to share more about the process (low-res textures, flat lighting, keeping the poly count low) if anyone’s curious!

Solved Cycles gives a very uniform, desaturated look and lights using color temperature give a yellow piss tint

Just started learning Maya for school (I know right ? 🤢 ) and started dabbling in rendering simple scenes until I noticed that Arnold (the render engine inside Maya) was rendering light colors in a much more pleasant way. I thought maybe I did something differently. Which I was ! Turns out I was using color temperatures for the first time and I thought that if I did this in Blender, my renders would look awesome. Turns out they didn't and instead I got very flat and desaturated renders.

So I ran a few tests to try and see what was happening

On base settings, with the exact same color temperature, the color is noticably less saturated in Cycles than Arnold. Arnolds also has that nice redish tone on the shadow edges and feels very warn in comparison to Cycles

Does anyone know what is causing Cycles to render lights in such a uniform way ?

This is a 3D model of Professor Egadd from Luigi’s Mansion in the movie style. It was commissioned by nstlgcmysticalcat from Blue Sky. I had fun with this model at it’s helping me grow on designing cartoonish human characters.
